30 minutes for wings??? Really?? All the fryers are full/busy??? Get more fryers or MANAGE YOUR KITCHEN!!! Not going back...

Great fried mushrooms...not frozen and chucked in the fryer. Burgers were no frills burgers...just really good.

Let me first say... I NEVER write reviews. However, I experienced such horrible customer service at the Burger Barn that I created a Yelp account WHILE I was dining in with my family! I've eaten here twice. The first time was about a week or two after they opened and I was not pleased with the wait time. Usually, once I'm turned off by a place, I never come back but I knew they were new and still working out a few kinks so I returned well after their grand opening. Here is how my second visit went... My family of 5 arrived at the burger barn. My mom went to place our order (30 medium wings, fries, fried pickles, and an enchilada plate). The line wasn't very long but it felt like my mom was at the bar for forever. We received our fried pickles first and then the wings + plate. We noticed that the wings were drained in sauce so we asked "Are these medium wings?" the lady that served our food said "no these are hot" I said... "Oh, well we ordered medium wings" She then continued placing the rest of our food at our table, she glanced at the order receipt and without even making eye contact- she just walked away! I thought out loud... "maybe she's going to tell the cooks," and then my sister said, "or maybe shes just ignoring us." My sister was right, she was ignoring us. She never came back to our table. At that point, I was already irritated. The next thing we noticed was that they gave my brother in law the wrong enchiladas. He didn't bother complaining, he just ate them. Next, my nephew decided he wanted to pay to play a song from the jukebox but he needed change for a dollar. So my mom went to go ask for change for a dollar and the man (idk his name!) says, "I don't have any change to spare." Ok, fine. I guess this is reasonable. But something was telling me that this guy was just being a jerk because we complained about our wings. Now these next two "events" really ticked me off. 1) my familly was sharing wings so we needed plates to distribute, maybe this isn't normal procedure for everybody but it's what WE do. So the guy came by and my mom grabbed his attention and said, "excuse me, can we have some plates" he then replied... "what do you need plates for?" I mean... REALLY? we've never been questioned about why we needed something as basic as plates! My mom replied, "to put our wings on." He goes to get the plates and check this out... he comes back, stands right next to my mom, and instead of placing them on the table like a decent human being or handing them to her politely, he stands next to her and puts them right in front of her face so that SHE can grab them out of HIS hand. Oh man, it took everything in me not to go off on this man for disrespecting my mother like that! 2) Our wings were too spicy, so we had about 20 left over, almost the whole order! My mom went to go ask for a box. She comes back and tells us that when she asked the owner (I'm assuming) told her, "what do you need a box for?" LOL..... THIS GUY! My mom was so fed up she said, "I need a box for my wings. they were hot and we order medium, and besides that- they weren't all that anyways." I really wanted to like this place, it's the reason why I gave it a second try. I like that they bring something new to the area and I'm sure that they already have loyal customers, but I will not be one. We are not the only ones to have experienced such unprofessionalism by the employee's that run this place, other family members have as well. This business needs a serious wake up call- treat every customer with respect because it's not just one customer you're losing, it's every person that they share their experience with. These people may decide to try the place out, but they'll already be skeptical and any little thing has the possibility too turn these customers off. My family LOVES wings, and when we have birthday dinners we usually drive all the way to first colony to a place called Wings N Things (best wings ever!) and I thought the Burger Barn would be a nice alternative for our large parties because of the proximity, but after this past experience, I can't see myself eating there ever again. The food is good. I love the fried pickles and the burger that I had during my first visit. However, good food isn't enough to keep me coming back if I have to endure horrible customer service. It's just not worth it to me. OH! The skinny lady with the long black hair is the one that served us our food. While we were eating, we noticed that she would gather the trash + replace the bags, go back to pick up an order, serve the order, and then go back to mess with the trash. She did all of this wearing NO gloves! She was the only one serving food that day. Also, if you order fried pickles- be aware that there may be fried jalapenos mixed in the basket. You wouldn't really be able to distinguish from the two until you bite into them like my 5 year old nephew did. I'd hate for someone to have an allergic reaction. read more

The environment is fitting for the name and dining. The speed of food delivery is good. The meat they used for the burgers, however, is bland and cooked dry. We went here for Father's Day and were in and out quickly. Decent size for a couple medium sized groups. The fries were delicious. Doesn't leave me with the desire to go back with so many great burger options in town. read more

Very good burgers and bacon wrapped jalapeños. My husband and I stopped in for supper last night and everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I got the #1 combo and my husband ordered the #6 combo and bacon wrapped jalapeños. My burger was huge and cooked perfectly. The fries were hot and fresh. My husbands burger and jalapeños were hot and tasty too! The employees were super friendly and we cannot wait to bring the kids. Tuesday night kids eat free with an adult meal purchase! read more

This place is just terrible. For a place named burger barn I'd expect phenomenal burgers and honestly it just misses the mark by far. There are a ton of varieties and I tried a few but it's impossible to get around the horrible service. Every time I've gone in, it's been 25-45 minutes waiting on a burger and fries. I was there opening week up to a few months ago and it just doesn't get better...if the food was better I could get past the wait time, but it's just not there. Do yourself a favor and find a fuddruckers or 5 guys, your money is much better spent there. read more

I've been wanting to stop and try this place for awhile and today was the day. Man, was I pleased by the time I left. I had a bacon cheese burger that was delicious, and large enough to really fill me up. The combo meal - burger/fries/drink, was also very reasonably priced. It looks like a little hole in the wall type of place, but it was clean, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the food was great. I'll definitely be going back. read more

Great place for a good old fashioned burger. I get the bacon cheddar cheese burger and add a fried egg. So good! Fries are excellent too!

This place has gotten a 1000 times better now they are not overwhelmed with the giant crowds. I like the number 12 with the fried egg. Also check out the fried pickles. read more

I stumbled upon this place in Rosenberg, and it was great! First off, it's comfortable, casual, with a patio out front for dining. It's got tables covered in gingham-checked tablecloths, always a nice touch. You walk up to the counter, order, take your number, and they deliver the food to your table. Now, there are apx. 25 choices of burger combos, so take your time! I had the #23, and it was more than I could eat. Wine is $4.23/glass, and they, also, serve beer. The service was good, friendly. There is a children's menu and a few other items, but it's mostly burgers. The interior is "country," with various antique-type items on the walls. Now, for $4.89, I think the burger was a great deal. They have fries, drink, and burger combos as well. Not bad! read more

This was the most disgusting burger I ate: I had decided to head over to Burger Barn for a nice hot fresh burger that wasn't from McDonald's. As soon as I entered a putrid smell of poop entered my nose. It actually smells like human waste. And as I took a few steps in, I took notice of the small amount of customers and this gross stuff on the floor which I had no idea what it was. I decided to keep my hopes up thinking that maybe it's just one of those places that look crappy but taste good, but I was so wrong. I will admit though that the timing wasn't really bad since I ordered takeout, but I the service was meh. Not bad but not good either. He sounded extremely tired to be honest. But I only waited 6 minutes and out I went to enjoy my fresh hot burger and fries. When I entered my car a delicious scent of seasoned fries entered my nose. I took a bite, and all the saliva left my mouth. The fries are like sponges! And they taste like school fries. I then decided to take a bite out of the burger, hoping that it will be better. I peeled back the rapping and to my surprise it smelled just like Whataburger! I took a bite and it was disgusting! It was like they warmed up a once delicious burger to much and turned it to a hard flavorless mesh. Please do not go there, for your money's sake. read more

Well, not the worst burger but not the best. It's on par to a Whataburger with ten times the menu and options. Inion rings were real good but too salty for my tastes. Chili cheese fries were just like I remember as a wee lad at the baseball games. read more

I was very disappointed in the food and for the second time. The first time I had gone my hamburger was smashed very flat & overcooked. it was very Bland and didn't taste like anything. I first visited this establishment about a week ago with my family and had nothing but praise from the person taking the order to the quality of the food we consumed. It's was such a pleasant experience that I again visited on Oct 26th with the family and found out overall experience good. However, we did have an issue with our order. We asked for wings with garlic rub. The order came out as garlic rub with hot sauce. When we brought it to the servers attention that it was wrong, the server simply said 'that's what was on the order slip'. Instead of issuing an apology or making sure we got what we paid for, it was simply cast off. Had it not been close to closing time we would have brought this issue up to the person behind the counter. We will not ding this establishment over making one error on two visits but I do hope they train their help to understand when a customer needs to be accommodated and errors corrected. It would be ok if they would get better quality bread so that it wouldn't fall apart while you are trying to eat your burger.

It's alright, I've definitely have had better burgers. This was just a regular burger joint that does have a huge menu. I went with a large group and it seemed like the staff were overwhelmed. This place has a nice, homey environment that I recommend to anyone who want to have a great burger experience.

Update: food good. Party of 6 so we had a variety. Problem: No AC. It was over 90 degrees outside and almost that inside. They told me that they have no insulation under floors or on top so what AC they have doesn't make it into 2nd room which also has no fans. We took most of food home because I was getting nauseous from heat. I'm used to good AC. read more

Country Pho was closed for three weeks so I was looking for another place to have lunch in Rosenberg. I am glad that I found the burger barn! I had the Royal Barn burger and it was out of this world! The price is great too, the combo which comes with fries and drink is only $8.1 with tax. You can't get this quality at a fast food restaurant. read more

I loved eating here, the staff is so friendly and they get your food to you quickly. I ordered the Blue Cheese burger with a Coke cause I am pregnant and had the crazy craving, it was delicious! Visited the Rosenberg location and had a fantastic meal with equally great service. We ordered the double meat "Lucy" burger and the Chile burger. Both were outstanding as the patties were large, juicy with great flavor and the cheese was melted to perfection. We would have taken photos of them however they looked so enticing we devoured them post-haste. The French fries were hot, crisp and delicious. A nice young man who assisted us with our order highly recommended the double meat burger and was efficient, professional and friendly. Very much enjoyed chatting with him. Look if your in a hurry to eat a burger there is always Burger King, McDonalds, and Jack in the Box. If you want a pretty bad ass burger with a damn good selection you need to visit Burger Barn. First time I went was at noon on their Grand Opening. The place was packed as expected. I ordered to Ol Spicy Burger!! By far the Best Burger I had in a long time. Ive been two other times since and had the Jalapeno Burger, A1 Burger, and an order of wings. The taste overcomes the wait for sure. Oh and the roasted Mushrooms were awesome. read more
