Best thing about this was the actors. The employees immerse you in the story as soon as you get there. Not much of a puzzle as it is with other escape rooms, so don't expect complex puzzles. Though it is well designed. Only thing that I didn't enjoy was not being able to control joining strangers or not when you make an appointment. My friends and I are pretty obsessed with escape rooms (I've done about 35) and I went to The Bunker without any real idea of the premise or what it was rated. I just happened to be in the pasadena area with my friends and we googled "escape rooms in Pasadena" and this one showed. I could not have been more impressed. This escape room has all the thrills of an escape room and all the the terror of a haunted house packed into 40 minutes of exciting and terrifying fun. The puzzles were clever and the whole experience had my adrenaline sky high. I will DEFINITELY be back for the sequel room scheduled to come out! read more

This was the first escape room I have ever taken part in and had an incredible time. While there were cheesy aspects, the over all tone and emotion of the experience was superb. I was extreemily entertained and stressed during the experience and was on the edge of my seat for the entire time. I highly recommend this for people of most ages, not too young, not old enough that you can't run. Fantastic time, great and profecional actors, and relatively intriguing plot without being overboard and extremely over-the-top. 10/10 read more

We did the back-to-back, Bunker to Hive experience and had an awesome time. It reminded me a little of a Delusion production in regard to the immersive set and use of live actors. It was atmospheric and would have been entertaining even without the puzzles. I should have also booked The Gatekeeper Room, because my group wanted to play a little more. The fact that there was still enthusiasm and energy to do more after 90 minutes says a lot about the quality of this adventure. read more

We used The Bunker Experience as a team building event for our company. We ran six teams (a total of 50 people) through in 2 days. Everyone really enjoyed it and felt it was the best off-site "fun" event yet. This is very immersive, and although we did have a few team members with some anxiety about the small space, dark, stress, etc., we all felt safe. An (excellent) actor accompanies your team through the experience, in character, providing clues if needed. The puzzles are the perfect amount of "difficult." Great fun with my family , friends , and mom! Been to the bunker experience twice - 2 mos apart. First time was with my best friend. She didn't want any zombies scaring her so they took that out (but really not that scary-just enough to add to atmosphere ). It happen to be just the two of us, so big challenge for me first timer to escape rooms that time. Today was my second time , but I was still challenged. (I couldn't remember any codes, only had some extra clues to help my family and friends since it was their first experience) The staff was helpful. I liked it that there was a staff in character in the room to give you tips if you got stuck, and let you know how much time left. They usually only give you tips if you ask or are really stuck. (Especially if you didn't know how a lock worked). My only note would be that this second time around , the locks were little stickier, we put in the correct code but had to pull harder or manipulate a little longer for lock to open. So tip would be to have the staff check lock for you if you think u got the right code but it didn't open. Loved it, and will be returning for the next levels, goes up to 3. read more

We had a great time at The Bunker. It felt like we were part of a story. The room/set looked great (although i would not want to be in there if there was more than 6-ish people). Everybody did a great job, staying in character the entire time. Our "guide" did a good job handing out the clues when we needed a little push. I do think the puzzles could be presented a tad bit better...we did waste time trying to "not break" a prop. Overall a fun experience. read more

I had the best time participating in this virtual reality drama! There were three of us that went together to solve the problem and gain our freedom. There were about 10 in our total group. The peril of the adventure drew in our large group to participate with one another. All of those that contributed made friends and sought out resolutions. It was a fun and accomplishing endeavor! First the people there are really nice! And my teenage boys (who are rarely impressed!) loved the escape room! They came out screaming and wanting to go back in! Very sketchy business, hard clues and the person did not help at all when we had trouble. Giving us vague clues to stall time, they have very little place to interact but a bunch of ways to stall time. By the time it was over, we realized our $300+ was gone. Never again read more

Three boys ages 13-14 did the Chapter 1 experience and had an absolute blast of a time on Nov 11-17 ! Bea and her assistant really complemented the whole seen with them. Such an awesome escape room. Well themed and great atmosphere and workers. From the start of them letting us in, we were immersed in this bunker experience. The clues, in the end, were pretty simple and we were flustered that we missed the last clue (well we got it too late). There was a lack of instruction, in the sense that we didn't know what was game to touch and not touch (so we touched everything lol). The acting was great and really felt like we were in that world and not just in a simple room looking for clues. Had some spots that would have made a great scare zone, though I know this is an escape room and not a haunted house, but that would've been really cool. Totally worth doing. Could be done with small group or bigger, we did it with 4 and I thought that was perfect. Definitely doing again when they change the clues. Only reason for 4/5 stars is because I'm still bitter I screwed up the last clue, locking us out of the final key :'( read more
