Great place to stay in Cleveland. We rented the whole house. Highly enjoyed our stay. Would do it again.

Also shout out to Cressida (I think) who managed the breakfast and also "Unique" the staff person at checkout. Our king-size room had a great view, and overall was just fine for our two nights stay. As others have mentioned, the breakfast buffet, as well as the evening snacks and drinks were good. This is not a luxury resort or hotel but for every day travelers who don't have unlimited budgets this was a great stay. A perfect location for us. I would definitely recommend and if I am out this way again would stay. The three staff people we dealt with were outstanding.

Some of them, including me went back to get this or that (for me it was Jelly for my biscuit.) but I couldn't get in because they locked it down like it was Alcatraz. There were also a number of people that showed up for breakfast between 9:30 and 9:40 who were turned away. They didn't even have the courtesy to walk around and ask any of their guests If there was any last-minute things they may want for breakfast before they close it down which I would've respected that. Most hotel chains, heck even McDonalds stays open for breakfast until 10 am at the very least. The hotel overall was ok, the room was nice, but don't plan on eating breakfast here (ESPECIALLY if you have kids and are with your family) unless you can rush down to eat and make sure you get everything you need. Overall I was not impressed. I'd look for somewhere else to stay.

Highly enjoyed.

It was pretty cool to learn that the building is a restored 1930s-era Board of Education building. I saw that the hotel was not only a great place to stay, but also that there was so much to do within a reasonable walking distance of the establishment. I arrived at the hotel late at night and was warmly greeted by a staff member named Mario. I greatly appreciated his patience with me as I sorted everything out while preparing to check into my room. Since this was the first time I had ever done anything like that, I liked how Mario let me take my time to make sure I was doing everything correctly and signing anything that needed to be signed. During my time staying there, every staff member was friendly and was fun to talk to whenever they were not busy. The room was clean and perfect for one person, with plenty of space and a comfortable bed. While I spent much of my time in Cleveland in my hotel room, it was still an amazing visit, to say the least. I liked their breakfast selection and the bar they had. I had a Caesar salad because I had to wake up early the next morning to catch a flight back home, and it was great. All in all, it was a great first experience staying in a hotel by myself, and I would like to give a shoutout to every staff member who made me feel right at home during my stay in Cleveland. I will definitely be staying here again the next time I am in the Cleveland area and recommend it to anyone planning to visit.

The room has great views and lots of windows that let in plenty of natural light that make lounging inside enjoyable. We ordered room service and had a fun time drinking and eating surrounded by the beautiful artwork of Mr. Van Gogh. The soaking tub was nice and the bed is very comfortable but, like most of the other reviews say, the cars revving up and down the main drag all night are very noisy. The hotel leaves ear plugs on the bed but since we were in town for leisure, we didn't really use them.

This was a special mother-daughter trip, just the two of us, and I had booked and prepaid for our room at the Kimpton Schofield Hotel through Hotwire. What should have been a wonderful experience turned into one of the most upsetting encounters I've ever had in the hospitality industry. Upon arrival, the woman who identified herself as the manager requested a physical debit or credit card for incidentals. I explained that I use Apple Pay and did not have my physical debit card with me. My card is securely stored in my Apple Wallet, linked to my bank account, and is how I routinely make purchases. She informed me that the hotel would not accept Apple Pay or any electronic payment. A physical card was mandatory. I understand that businesses have policies, especially regarding fraud prevention. What I do NOT understand is the complete lack of professionalism, compassion, and basic human decency this manager demonstrated. I had my government-issued ID and offered multiple alternatives. My husband could provide card information over the phone, or even FaceTime with his identification and a card linked to our joint account. I was willing to explore any reasonable solution. She refused every suggestion. At this point, I was visibly upset and in tears. I explained that we had traveled from Indiana, that I was alone with my daughter, and that we had nowhere else to stay. Rather than demonstrate an ounce of empathy, she told me we would not be checking in and that I needed to contact Hotwire for a refund. As I stood there calling my husband in tears, trying to figure out what to do, her attitude became even worse. She actually said, "Well, I don't have to approve the refund." I was stunned. Not only was she refusing to let us into a room I had already paid for, but she was now suggesting we might not even receive our money back. When I questioned the policy, she cited fraud prevention and insisted that EVERY hotel in downtown Cleveland had the same requirements. According to her, we wouldn't be able to check in anywhere without a physical card. There was no attempt to help us find a solution, no recommendation for alternative accommodations, and absolutely no compassion for a mother and child standing in front of her, visibly distressed. Had it not been for a friend who lives 45 minutes outside Cleveland, my daughter and I would have had nowhere to stay that night. I've traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels. I have NEVER experienced treatment like this. Let me be perfectly clear: My complaint is not simply about the physical-card policy. It is about how this manager chose to treat us. I did not expect anyone to compromise security procedures. I expected professionalism, respect, and a genuine willingness to help. Instead, I felt dismissed, humiliated, and unnecessarily intimidated during what was supposed to be a special evening with my daughter. For a hotel that markets itself as an upscale hospitality experience, this was absolutely appalling. I sincerely hope Kimpton and IHG leadership take this seriously. A beautiful property means very little when the people managing it demonstrate such a complete lack of hospitality. Our mother-daughter trip should have been remembered for the concert. Unfortunately, it will also be remembered for the way we were treated at the Kimpton Schofield Hotel.
