A well maintained Historical building in a quiet neighborhood

This B&B place is so cozy and well decorated! The location is very convenient to all the restaurants and attractions, but in a quiet neighborhood. Our family of three stayed in the purple room- Franklin. It is quite spacious, clean and homey. The new owner Connie is very friendly and accommodating. All the staffs we met are so friendly. Coffee, tea, water and snacks are available all day long. Having a cup of tea in the library by the beautiful painting and antique fireplace will transport you back to the good old time. We are so glad we stayed in such a charming place, will definitely come back

This is my second stay here. It is wonderful as always. Beautiful city, beautiful house and wonderful hospitality. Each room here has something special to offer you. You have to experience it yourself and enjoy the beauty of the bed and breakfast.

Breakfast "nest," of Hashbrowns, eggs, cheese and sausage with a roasted tomato pesto.

We showed up after hours, and left before breakfast. The review is based off solely our overnight experience. The place is very boutique like. Small rooms maybe 4 or 5 rooms. Upon arrival we self checked in by code and received our key by the door. The pictures online are very different than what the rooms actually look like. Very tiny, very outdated, very dark. The balcony view is on the main road so it's not much of a view. The room is old fashioned but cute. It gets the job done for sleeping and getting ready. Very tiny bathroom. The 2 person tub in the room is not a bad touch however it takes forever to fill up, and drain. It is a duel tub/shower combo so you have options. A nice arsenal of shower supplies are available. The bed is extremely old. Very noisy. It is a small Queen bed with not very good pillows. We brought our own. The real big issue with the Inn is there is almost zero privacy. All the rooms are very close by, and the walls are paper thin. At numerous different times we would be able to hear other people just talking normal. Not being over the top loud, just normal conversations. The Inn also has a community room with tea, coffee, mini fridge etc however that location right In the middle, makes that even possible to hear anyone speaking in that location. I know it's early Spring but the grounds need a little TLC. Dead flowers, dead branches, a bunch of junk and misc supplies laying around. They have a walkway to walk through the "gardens" but it's not a good time to walk through right now. Very unorganized and messy. The Inn has a chance to be neat. A little upkeep, a little more space and you never know. The Host or Innkeepers are not there so they have instructions on how to reach them and how to access certain things. The check in- check out process is easy. I'm not sure if the place is worth the price $125 as the location is nearby a lot of different things but you can probably get the same experience at a normal hotel. I probably would not be interested staying again The beds hurt my back and people talking at all hours got annoying. I had to have my tv loud just to block out the chatter. I would probably give this place a 6.9 to 7 points out of 10.

Now it is dusty and musty: the shine is no more here. The TV remote and channels were from decades past. The lukewarm scrambled egg made from powder, heated frozen sausage patties and potatoes not quite warm enough, and some unappealing muffins and doughnut-looking baked goods...I didn't stop to inspect further. Old is okay but unclean is not. Simple food is okay but poor quality food at improper temperature is not. A single fresh fruit is better than a mush blend of dissolving fruit. For example, she let us check-in at noon. She also asked us about any special diet needs, and happily cooked us a vegetarian breakfast casserole. Our room was small but nice, and our bed was very comfortable. As the other reviewer stated, there are even plush, terrycloth bathrobes hanging in the closets. Martha helped us figure out where we were going and supplied us with an area map. After a long day of walking around town, we spent the evening drinking a bottle of wine and enjoying the large TV in the breakfast area. The only reason I wouldn't go to five stars is because of the bathroom. Firstly, we had to share it with the other guests, which wasn't really appropriate for the price we paid ($130 all told w/ taxes and parking). Secondly, the bathroom was next to our bedroom, so we got to hear everyone pad to and from it in the middle of the night. However, besides that one draw back, I would recommend it as a good place to stay for anyone checking out the campus, art museum, or botanical gardens.

This place serves as an inviting home away from home in a beautiful turn-of-the-century house at the edge of University Circle. The breakfast was lovely (and very filling!) and served in a beautiful dining area. There's a comfy living room where you can curl up and read a magazine. I thoroughly enjoyed my conversations with proprietor Gary, who made me feel like a welcome member of the family. If you're looking for an alternative to an impersonal hotel, this is a great place to stay!

Really enjoyed all the cookies and tasty and plentiful breakfasts. Our room was upgraded at no cost because there were no other guests staying in the home this weekend, which we appreciated, especially with a pregnant wife. The only 2 critiques that I have- I would suggest to Jeff and Danielle to consider using 2-ply toilet paper. It was a little jarring to have everything else so nice and then have single ply paper. Perhaps if septic system care was an issue, you could install a bidet on the toilet. They are $30 on Amazon and an amazing upgrade to any toilet. Also, the upstairs bathroom faucet is too short- I kept making a mess of that lovely countertop because it doesn't extend far enough. Outside of these things, we loved our experience and hope to return the next time we come back to Geneva!

I would definitely recommend this space for a special night out downtown!…read more The good: the space was absolutely beautiful, located in the heart of downtown. Our view was incredible and we were within walking distance of everything we had planned for the night. The price was definitely right. It was much cheaper than the hotels downtown, and even cheaper and closer than all of the listings on air bnb that I saw. The space that we stayed in was a full apartment, including furniture, appliances, and a full kitchen, which was perfect for hosting a fun bachelorette. The place was spotless when we entered and was decorated very homey. In addition, it is also great to support local businesses - its a Cleveland bnb! How fun! And Alex is really great. He is super responsive to texts, emails, and calls. The bad: it's downtown so, of course, prepare to pay for parking. The apartment suite was stated to sleep four, but there were not pillows/blankets for four - be sure to bring some of your own! It included a Queen bed and a twin blow up mattress. They included a couch in the count, which is fine - that's where I slept. The apartment we stayed in was inside of an apartment building that had an outdoor door that was a locked security door so we didn't have a way to get in - you just have to trail someone in to get to your room. Alex did warn me about this before we arrived, so I was prepared to wait to be let in but it does feel a little strange and awkward. The WiFi is private and we weren't given a code, so we were also unable to use the smart TV. In order to get directions and instructions for entering, you need to call/text Alex, so most of these pieces of confusion could have probably been resolved by just contacting him. Just be prepared to ask for these smaller details because I hadn't! The short: these bnbs are definitely something I would recommend to someone for a special night out. The prices are amazing, the location can't be beat, and the actual lofts themselves are beautifully decorated and very clean.
