The inn was within walking distance of everything in town. And visiting the town is a must. This includes the hardware store. Do not miss the hardware store. The staff at the Inn was delightful. They really took care of our needs. Bedding was top-notch. So were the pillows, and I'm fussy about that. Breakfast was OK but better than the standard fare at a chain hotel. Would I come back? In a heartbeat!

There was an air conditioning unit in one window which had a cord trailing to the wall outlet and would therefore not allow the shutters to properly closed and with no shade to pull down it kept the room exposed to the outside. Fireplace did not work. Continental breakfast was extremely sparse. How hard would it be to get some baked goods from the next door bakery. Omg, the minute we pulled up the parking lot, I had really good vibes on this place. The minute we walked in, we were greeted and the staff was very kind,helpful and sincere. They were patient with all the questions we were asking about the area (this is located in Amish country). Dining and activities. There was cookies at the counter, displayed in lobby were historical facts about Amish country and the town, library, and coffee/snack station. It just felt like we were at home. So quiet and peaceful. The room was clean. What an amazing view of the the rolling hills of Ohio and a beautiful farm next to the hotel. We had a tiny patio with a spacious room. Can you believe this, we even had an kuerig coffee maker. How cool is that? Outside of the hotel, there is a small quiet area you can sit and relax and also a small gym with recreation center. Waking up to fresh breakfast was the best. The eggs was fresh and not runny. Breads were not stale, great selection of pastries and other healthy alternatives if you don't want the bad stuff. We lucked out with private dining for dinner in the pub and used the heated indoor and outdoor pools by ourselves. The food served for dinner (steak with potato gratin & asparagus; and coquille saint Jacques) and breakfast (egg soufflé and waffles) was top-notch. It's new, and it's the only B&B in Berea, with the quaint downtown square right around the corner. The owners are quick to respond to any problems, the location is fantastic, the beds are good. Even the *towels* here are top-notch. When I checked to make sure I didn't have down pillows, I found brand new allergy shield pillow covers on high-quality synthetic pillows. When you stay in a B&B in an old Victorian or heritage home, usually that means dealing with a tiny bathroom, undersized shower, and so on; the beautiful old home that houses Riverside Gables was completely renovated in fall 2012, with nice big showers, new fixtures, and new floors. Guests even have a sitting room, with a kitchenette and fridge, Keurig coffee machine, spare dishes, and (my favorite) electric kettle and teapots for tea. Glass bottles of water are kept chilled for the use of the guests, and it was great to have that bottle of water to take to my room (and also not feel like I was wasting a plastic bottle just to have something cold to drink.) There's also a separate back door for guests. Breakfast has been excellent: fruit salad to start, juice, a beautiful omelette the first time I stayed and a Belgian waffle this morning. The owners have a beautiful Golden Retriever, but he is not allowed in the B&B portion of the house. Catherine is lovely to talk to, knowledgeable about the area, and responsive to the needs and preferences of her guests. If business brings me back to the area, I will *definitely* put this place at the top of my list.

Second best is that they've got both a Tesla wall charger and a J1772 charger for those with electric cars, and the best thing is that you have the delightful Rocky River Valley across the street for driving and recreation.
