As I was standing in front of the toilet doing my business, a rat swam up out of the drain. I had heard of this kind of thing happening, but I thought it was an urban legend. Nope. It can really happen. After chasing him down the drain with the toilet bowl brush, and shoving the brush into the drain to keep him away, I went online to see what could be done. Naturally, I turned to Yelp for an exterminator. I learned a few things; first, the rat did not come from the sewer, it came from the roof and down the sewer vent. That is now covered. Second, the rats were attracted to my bird feeder, which is now gone (sadly). Edgar came out and reviewed the entire house with me, showing me where they were getting in and laying out a plan of action that would eradicate them. I am beyond happy with the work he did. It's only been a little over a week and I can already see a huge difference. I did find out that they had made it into the attic, but they are being exterminated as I type this. Edgar is amazing. He knows what he's doing, he is incredibly thorough and he does everything he can to ensure that he doesn't make a mess in the house. I was very impressed with him, and not surprised given that he has 62 reviews and 5 stars. When I checked his website I found that I was technically out of his range, but he agreed to come anyway. This man is the real deal. His work is excellent, his prices are fair, he knows what he's doing and he will help you if you have a rat problem. I cannot stress enough how awesome he is. He advised us to catch the animal ourselves and call him after, he also charged us for this. We asked if the animal sought our attic to have babies and he said no that raccoons have offspring in Spring, he does not know what he's doing or talking about, she did have babies and now he will not help us get them out. He should have looked when he first can but he obviously didn't. We have called another, more knowledgeable company and we're told this was not the correct way to safely remove this family from our attic. We feel awful and this person should not be advertising he is a reliable animal remover. Don't hire him!

Both times, I was very pleased with the outcome! Gary and his wife Jen are super easy to work with and very knowledgeable. They made the hive removal a breeze! Gary was also very conscientious about not making too much of a mess with the chemicals and the hive. Cleanup was perfect! One thing you should know is that while Gary can open up your drywall or concrete wall to get to the hive, you will need to make your own arrangements to close any holes back up.
