I wanted to support a small, local business, as I usually do. I chose to go to Barclay's for this…read morereason instead of ordering a tux from Men's Warehouse online for less money and free shipping to and from so I wouldn't have even had to leave my house. I clearly made the wrong decision and will never return. I hope for your sake, if you value how you are treated as a customer, you do not go to Barclay's either. This is why. Bert or Bart Harrison at Barclay's is incredible rude and provides terrible customer service. I had an issue with tux pants (it was an embarrassing event for a teenager that happened in the middle of the prom dance). When I spoke with him about the issue he went in defense mode immediately. He immediately told me there was nothing they would do about it. I said that's unfortunate since I had to rush to the nearest store (Kohl's) and buy a pair of dress pants and a belt for $100 so he could continue to enjoy his prom. Bert immediately, without skipping a beat, said scoffed at me and said he will not reimburse me for that. I said I'd like something done. I offered him my Kohl's receipt for proof. He took it, looked at it, and almost judgementally said Kohl's actually charges that much for pants? I said yes, and to make it worse, not a single brand was on sale that night. He took my recent and made a copy and returned it to me. He said he would call the rental company to see if they would do anything, but Barclay's will not. This man had zero sympathy for what my son went through, he was very. He said he was sorry and I can't judge whether he meant it, but it wasn't sincere. He jumped to conclusions and automatically refused to do anything, even before I asked. After the less-than-stellar encounter with him I didn't trust he would call Jim's Formal Rental so I did after I left. The lady I spoke to was very kind, sympathetic and sincere. She couldn't do anything more than pass my concern on, but her customer service was superior. Today, I got a call from Bert at Barclay's. He said Jim's is going to reimburse me for the pants. He asked if my son tried on the tux while he was there. I said yes. He asked if the pants opened or fell down then. I said no. He said that's what he thought. He was placing the blame on us. I let is go and was ready for this to be over. Then, almost for no reason at all except this man seems to think he has to be right and can never do any wrong, he feels the need to tell me that him and Jim's thinks someone yanked the adjuster on the side instead of sliding it. I told him when we were in there we were never shown how to adjust the pants, but when my son got dressed at home he said they felt loose and asked me to tighten them. I opened the clasp and pulled them tighter on both sides. I can't speak for what happened at prom, but my son is very honest and would have told me if he thought he may have broken them. Unlike Bert, he will take accountability. From here, the conversation turned into a shit show. I don't recall exactly how the conversation went other than I told him I was less than impressed with his customer service skills and I feel like he wasn't empathetic and he was too defensive and he, of course, denied this and said he told me he was sorry when I was there and to put myself in his shoes running a business and someone comes in attacking you and wanting a refund. I told him I did not feel like I attacked him, I calmly walked in and quietly and politely asked to speak to someone, then I quietly and politely started explaining what happened and what I had to do to rectify the situation and he immediately told me he can't do anything about it and won't refund me for the clothes I bought, but I never even mentioned a refund or reimbursement. I only offered my receipt. Then, after that, he turned very unprofessional and again, super defensive, and kept talking over me and giving me every excuse. Never actually taking accountability or being willing to help.

We like Kohl's s, ever since we first encountered on when we lived in Wisconsin many years ago…read more I stopped in to get some socks and my SO wanted new sleep wear. We both found what we were looking for quickly. Unfortunately, there was a long line at checkout. And only about 1/2 the registers were open. (Maybe move up clerks during busy times?) Anyway, because of the quality and the diversity of goods that they sell, I'm sure I'll be back.

Looking for a new place to spend all of our gift purchases., Wow, just wow. We do Xmas up big in my family, very big. For the last several years at least 98% of our Xmas for 7 people plus have all come from Kohl's. THAT ENDS HERE 2 days after Xmas, my daughter from DC attempted to return 2 shirts in your store with receipts for a gift card, which she intended to spend that day. Imagine her shock at being told that she couldn't. After asking for the manager, who l'm told was nice but not helpful, she was told that her only option was to issue a credit back to my Kohl's charge, which we paid off as we went, by the way, here's the kicker, even with her receipts, they would only offer to issue the credit for less than half the amount I had paid. They claimed they had to treat it as a return that had no receipt, even though the receipt was in their hands. So they wanted to issue a credit for 20. on a paid off account for shirts I'd paid over 40 for. Veither shirt was on clearance by the way, not that that should even matter, we had receipts This is beyond insane. Totally unacceptable Besides my family, I've already discussed this with 3 friends and will be writing extremely negative reviews on every public platform that I am part of How dare Kohl's pull a stunt like this.I guess they see no value in a good customer. #kohls

Boy was I wrong. Price Stores is an affordable, yet very classy, men's clothing, bridal, and tuxedo rental business located in downtown Dayton. I am definitely glad I stopped in. On the first floor, Price has men's clothing, most specifically, suits, dress shirts, and ties. They also sell hats, including, of all things, Stetson hats. Who knew? On the upper two floors they have their bridal sales and tuxedo rentals (I forget which is on which floor). With the tuxedos, they have a nice selection, though it may be a little limited compared to a mail order situation. For example, I walked in foolishly planning to rent a jacket with a cutaway design, but their selection was slim in my size, and I looked terrible anyway. What Price offers that no other tuxedo store in Dayton OR Cincinnati seemed to offer was they stock their tuxedos on-site, whereas Men's Wearhouse and others mail order them in. This was a total relief to me, because it meant I knew, on my wedding day, that the tuxedo was absolutely going to fit. They also do adjustments on-site, and when I arrived the day before to pick up my tuxedo and the pants didn't fit, they too them back and 15 minutes later, viola!, they fit. The bridal store has a nice selection too. If my wife had known that they carried dresses, and so affordably, she probably would have stopped in there and looked before locking in at a different venue. As it was, she did purchase her tiara and veil at Price, beating out even eBay prices for veils and getting exactly what she wanted. Service, quality, variety, and in all other ways, Price Stores exceeded my expectations and contributed to making my wedding day a success. I will definitely be back in the future to take a look at suits, because I'm sure I need a new one.
