Dropped off a NEW vintage pair of Stanley Philipson heels that had not been worn, but the heel taps were missing and needed to be replaced. The heels had never been worn and I'm assuming that the heel taps had just cracked and fallen off because they were old plastic. Other than needing new heel taps they were in PERFECT BRAND NEW CONDITION.
They were picked up today and there are two large "digs" in the heels where they were not treated kindly by someone at the Bootery that replaced the heel taps. The left heel tap was not even hammered in all the way. Repair guy said that it wouldn't hammer in anymore and that's all he could do.
Despite trying to explain that they were in perfect new condition when they were dropped off they repeatedly said that they were that way when they were dropped off. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I asked for the repair cost back ($6.49) which, in my opinion, is the least they could do since they ruined a new pair of shoes. They refused to refund anything, denied doing the damage and were unapologetic and rude about the whole thing. Insinuating that I dropped the shoes off in that condition and am now blaming them for the damage. I will never do business with them again. The customer service and repair service is POOR! If I could rate them a "0" out of "5" I would. read more
