The bride/groom had tables dividing the guests where there was a definite sense of sitting in the "nosebleed section" vs sitting in the "VIP section" close to the dance floor and upfront with the bride/groom getting the perfect view of all speeches and great photos of the newlyweds. The wine cellar where the groomsmen where getting ready in was dark and stuffy. It lacked a fair amount of space intended for five adult males getting dressed inside. Overall, this is the perfect place for an intimate occasion for a small party of 40-60 guests.

We did a wedding weekend, so my grandparents, parents, and our entire bridal party were able to stay at the venue the entire weekend which made it really special. The staff at Cherokee Dock were awesome. We were able to call or email whenever we needed something, and Kelly and all of the staff were so knowledgeable about the venue and the wedding industry. They were super kind and flexible and helped with whatever we needed. They are definitely pros in the wedding industry! All my vendors also loved working with the Cherokee Dock staff. It rained on our wedding day, but The Estate at Cherokee Dock has a built-in rain plan that made the day so much less stressful. They also have so many beautiful ceremony spots, a great catering kitchen that all of our caterers loved. The pictures came out amazing, too! There were so many great photo spots like on the swing by the Cumberland River and on the dock! This weekend was the best weekend of my life and I could not recommend having your wedding at The Estate At Cherokee Dock more. Our family and guests have not stopped talking about how amazing this wedding was, many of them told us it the best wedding they have ever been to! Cherokee Dock is an open vendor venue, so we could have the wedding planners and vendors we wanted. Beautiful venue, effortless day…read more We got married at The Barn at Sycamore Farms with about 100 guests and loved it. The grounds flow beautifully. Guests walk down the outdoor walkway past the welcome table, cross a little bridge to the ceremony island in the lake, come back to the porch, and then head inside the barn. The procession over the bridge felt dramatic in the best way. The built-in rain plan (a ceremony under the barn porch) meant no tent vendor and no extra cost. We didn't need it, but it was a big reason we booked. The barn is large, but with the dance floor under the chandelier it never felt empty. The porch, with soft seating and string lights, became the place for anyone who wanted a break from the loud music. The prop room let us pick centerpieces and decor a month out, which saved money and setup. The bridal suite is roomy. The groom's suite is much smaller, with one bathroom and one closet, so plan accordingly if a crowd is getting ready with you. There's plenty of parking, and guests used rideshares from Franklin and Cool Springs hotels without trouble. The alcohol buyout let us bring our own and keep the leftovers. Just bring your own mixers. Communication was clear and nothing fell through the cracks. If you pay by ACH or Zelle to avoid card fees, expect to split payments around transfer limits. Everything was managed to perfection by the wedding planner. We had a personal issue towards the end of the night and the wedding planner jumped in, sleeves rolled up, and handled it with us like she was family. She went way above and beyond, and when I thanked her and complimented her, she said simply, "It's what I do" with a big smile. Sarah made everything stress free. She was planner, organizer, counselor, cheerleader, sister, friend and magician. We had the time of our lives.

When my now husband and I visited The Lodge for the first time, we knew this is where we wanted to get married. We loved that it was a completely open venue and we could use any caterer, bartender, florist, etc. that we wanted to use. They also offered a day of coordinator. Brandy was my day of coordinator, and she was awesome! She kept us on time and made sure we did everything we wanted. My florist didn't leave my toss bouquet so she picked flowers from their garden for me! She was awesome!!! Why the 3 stars? Everything between when I have them my payment to when Brandy took over was not fun. Before booking, we were constantly in contact with Holly. She answered our calls, she met with us, etc. Once I have them the payment, she went completely ghost. She never returned or phone calls and barely returned our emails. Maybe something was going on in her life, but she should have told us to contact someone else. We literally drove to the site unannounced so that we could talk to someone. The staff there was extremely friendly, including Holly when we could talk to her. They always accommodated us when we showed up, but it was stressful due to the lack of communication. Overall the experience was positive, and the venue is gorgeous! I hope with a several more months under their belt as a wedding venue will help them with the lack of communication issues.

From the beginning we (bride and groom) fell absolutely in love with this building and the grounds. However, being from out of town it is a little hard to find as the venue is not well marked and actually sits on the land for the YMCA. It also functions as the Nelson Andrews Leadership Lodge which led to some confusion at times. We worked with Kayla for 15 months planning every detail of our outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour, indoor reception, and sparkler send-off. Needless to say on the day-of, a late bus pickup and poor weather basically sent our plans into chaos and Kayla worked very hard to give us an equally beautiful event from what we had planned. She really held it all together, and held me together too! The Lodge works only with Dream Events catering, and at first we weren't thrilled to receive this news. However, Kayla and her team made sure Dream knew about our concerns and when we were able to meet with them, they were sure to go above and beyond for some dietary needs, and the many changes that occurred. Since this was a destination wedding, Kayla helped me to select a vendor for rental items, and then she managed the relationship for me, which I appreciated as well. I am thankful that The Lodge selected such reliable partners for us to work with, another example of how well this venue is managing their business. Overall we did have some ups and downs but we are so thrilled with our friends at the Lodge, and can't wait to receive our wedding pictures back. We highly recommend this venue.

Two floors and some have the blood stains to proof it. There were 10,000 killed here and the south took a lot of those. The Carter house was another in site from here. The goal was the south wanted to trap and kill the north but miss communication let them walk right by. The north rebuild the bridge over the river and head for Nashville. They burned the bridges behind then so the south had the regroup and rebuild the bridges. Did go as the south planned. House is full of history and there is a Major Cemetery on the grounds Highly recommended
