Our daughters' wedding could not have been more perfect! CJ's did a fantastic job! We worried about absolutely nothing! CJ's is an intimate garden venue and it was perfect for the 57 guests we had at our wedding. The ceremony takes place in the garden and the reception is held in the covered pavilion. This is a seasonal wedding venue so they do weddings Spring through Fall since it is centered around an outdoor experience. The venue has different packages to make the planning process easier and an in-house wedding coordinator who walks the couple through each phase of decision making. We did the middle wedding package and then added on some lighting (candles and chandeliers) and upgraded a few tables (farm tables) and the chairs. They have a focus for each meeting so you know what to start thinking about and when. As far as ease of planning, quality of the venue and services and the day-of execution everything was top notch! Our wedding coordinator was Brette Craig and we cannot say enough good things about her. She truly was so communicative, thoughtful and patient so we couldn't have asked for more. She also had plenty of recommendations at the ready for things that I had no clue about (where should we have our rehearsal dinner? where should we host an after party?) All of our guests were so complimentary about the wedding from how much fun they had to how romantic the whole setup was. Besides the fact that our guests had a great time so did we. Sydney and the staff at CJ's would be in my top 5 for running an event without a doubt. Our daughter's wedding was a huge success in our eyes in every aspect. If there was an option higher than 5 stars, CJ and Jennifer would get it! It's anxiety-causing and overwhelming deciding where to have your wedding. CJs was the first venue I looked at and nothing after seemed to compare to the natural beauty and style of the venue. I recommend you not wait if you want this venue because dates fill up quickly (and rightfully so)! First, everyone I met was caring, flexible and professional. CJ has a passion for sharing the house and garden with others and for hosting weddings. It is evident by how genuinely happy she is with every interaction. Even though she works for the venue, she always was very honest about options and what would be best and didn't try to talk me into any upgrades or extra costs that I didn't prefer. I can honestly say the staff did everything possible to keep the day running smoothly and prevent extra stress for me. I had a family member get ill during the cocktail hour and they were very attentive and kept me calm/informed of the situation. They also took great care of my grandmother who has mobility issues and is in a wheelchair. They treated me like family and I feel like they are part of mine now! After my original reception venue cancelled on us, we contacted CJ's Off the Square and were connected with Sidney only 2 months before our wedding date - October 17, 2020. We already had a wedding planner however, Sidney went above and beyond to help us quickly plan an amazing day in such short notice. I live out of state and did not even see the venue until a few days before our wedding! We were initially nervous the space would be too small to accommodate our party however, we had 112 guests + bride and groom and it was just perfect. The temperature was cooler than anticipated and they had provided plenty of outdoor heaters to ensure our guests were warm and comfortable. All the staff are incredibly personable and willing to take the time to work with you and answer your questions. I cannot rave enough about working together with Jennifer Rhem and CJ Dickson on my wedding this past October. First off, the venue is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. We had 4 additional appointments at other venues but knew immediately that this was the one. We cancelled the rest and went with CJ's. I can honestly say that I felt so confident in their ability to achieve my wedding vision that I had a pretty stress free engagement. Please understand, I'm not a very chill person when it comes to event planning. Typically I tend to be a little bit of a control freak and downright obsessive about achieving a certain aesthetic and mood but I really felt like Jen and I were on the same page throughout the process. Also, she's an absolutely sweetheart and always got back to my emails quickly - even at the height of wedding season. While the venue price might seem on the more expensive side of things, you'll realize that the value is pretty reasonable for the services the CJ's off the Square provides. To have your catering and cake, table and chair rentals, linens, glassware and dinnerware, bartenders and wait staff all be included in your package helps make the whole event harmonious and stress free. They have TONS of different linen, glassware and dinnerware styles and colors and Jen is really creative in helping you achieve the look you desire. The food and cake were also insanely good (my cake was gluten free!!). I'm still getting comments about how great the food at our wedding was. That really feels like a success to me. read more

I was a bridesmaid in a wedding at this venue and it truly was beautiful. The owner, Caren, took every care to make everything run smoothly. The majority of the wedding was outside, but she had a room inside reserved for the cakes, so they wouldn't get spoiled outside. There is also ample room inside for the wedding party to get ready in very pretty surroundings. There is plenty of room inside for a small wedding, but the outside garden is really stunning. It has a gazebo where this particular ceremony was performed and there was enough room to set up a margarita bar and a buffet. There were plenty of places to sit either in the main area of the garden or off beside the rockeries and ponds. The front of the house makes an excellent place for pictures too. Perhaps the only issue here is parking, because the only real parking is on the street, but most weddings that are small enough to be performed or have receptions here shouldn't create too much of a problem. read more

If you tell your wedding planner that your want her to ice the azaleas in the garden every two hours until your wedding day so they don't bloom, they will oblige. When you have full on melt down about you are going to afford a nashville wedding they support you and work with your budget all while being incredibly understanding of the blubbering hot mess you are.
