Outside patio space was small but cute, but also concrete - just something to be mindful of if you have a kid who goes headfirst into everything like mine. The entrance is adorable but the play space isn't closed off from the lobby. They have a little rounded mini doorframe for littles and my kid thought it was hilarious to go in and out. The place isn't big enough that they are going to get very far, but I was surprised it wasn't gated. More expensive than play cafes I've been to in other cities, but still worth a stop if you're in town with littles.

It seems like the only indoor play area in this part of town. A great place to go when it gets hot outside. Looks like they have events for kids as well.

Bartender service was prompt and friendly, but the number of security and bouncers at the front tells me that this place must get rowdy from time to time. She was incredibly responsive, kind, and patient with us, and provided several different options for our estimate so we could really see what would work best for our wedding and budget. The side rooms off of the main dining area are also so cozy and intimate and add even more character to the venue. We ultimately decided to move forward with a different venue after considering some specific needs for our guests, but I have to say -- Estelle was in serious competition with the venue we chose the ENTIRE time! It was not an easy decision at all, and we would recommend Estelle without hesitation. I can only imagine that The Gulch has sticking power. I don't hang out there often but I must be an outlier. Earlier that evening, I was at another rooftop bar that had room to breathe. Proof was standing room only. I didn't understand. The music was loud (and fairly obnoxious). I was hard to turn around. Seating (or, standing to be fair) was hard to come by. And the people just kept coming. From the rude bouncer/doorman to the ruder server, I was utterly flummoxed by what I was experiencing and the fact that so many people seemed to be into it. The crowd vibe was off as well. I was bumped into three times. Propositioned once. Cackled at a handful of times. As soon as I ordered my drink I was told to pay immediately (before I received the drink). Granted, there was no way I was opening a tab but the chain of events was a first (in my long, storied history of drinking at bars/clubs). By the time a drunk sad girl™ asked to share my high boy I was ready to go. Forever. View was decent. There are better in town. Heck, there are better in The Gulch.

No need to carry pencils and a paper score card! Woohoo. My favorite hole was trivial pursuit themed. They give you a multiple choice question with two potential answers. There are two holes to aim towards, dependent upon what you think the correct answer is. Fun! Even our ADHD child was focused and we all had a blast. Looking forward to going back!
