My friend and I decided to figure out what we wanted. We both decided to go for the Roast Beef open faced sandwich with mashed potatoes and a side. I got picked beets and she did the coleslaw. We both agreed our sides were amazing. We opted to try the corn nuggets. I can't explain the yummy goodness that they were but it was sweet and yummy. We dipped them in ranch, fantastic. When our entrees came out they were piled high with Roast Beef. The mashed potatoes were homemade and kinda lumpy. We both were stuffed, but I had to get some of the homemade pie to go. I opted for Pecan and strawberry rhubarb. I brought them home for my family. I will be back soon. It was too good to not come back.

A real local family restaurant with the feel of a Wisconsin supper club. We didn't have any brandy old fashioned's but our cocktails were served in mason jars. We had the combo appetizer which includes your choice of three of the various options (mostly fried). We had the mozz logs (mozzarella sticks), bullets (jalapeño poppers) and clams. The clams were by far the star of these options. The house salads were basic but served on chilled plates with homemade dressings that you don't see much of anymore and they were perfect. Chicken alfredo was not your cookie cutter dish found anywhere, it was generous on chicken and plenty of flavor other than the sauce. I'm sure this is how Nonne Scapecchi built her following when they opened over 25 years ago (We think she's the one who greeted us and showed us to our table). Be sure to save room for one of their homemade desserts too. We shared their butterfinger cake and it was delicious. Our server, Tina, was very friendly and accurate with her advice about our menu questions. Bring your cash or use their ATM in the bar for $3 despite what Yelp says on this listing they're cash only. No need for reservations unless you're a party of six or more. We'd recommend this place too if you're looking for something off the beaten path and local with homemade items throughout the menu. We'll definitely be back!
