We stopped here to check out the local casino. Very dark and gloomy. We are used to a more colorful and attention grabbing themed casino. This one felt like a dark dingy back room of a bar. The service was good. The prices of drinks was more than average. $24.00 for 2 mixed drinks. We didn't see very much action. No one was winning anything. We blew through $360 in less than hour. The hubby tried the tables. He is usually pretty luck but not this time. I just played at the machines. We both didnt win anything. Now I remember why I don't gamble. Not worth the time or money.

Nice place. We were staying in hampton beach and went there to check it out. Beware jackpots over around $600, it's a taxed handpay.

Terrible service and ordered food that was just placed at a random table that I had to go find.

Ask the Community - The Brook

Is there a lot of walking? I'm recovering from surgery and can walk for short distances.

All depends where you want to go inside the casino? Tables are right there if you go into the main entrance, restaurants to the left. The slot machines are all over the place so that can be a good walk post surgery. Parking lot can be a good walk…

Right after that, he tells my friends they need to stick with the $5 bets they started with and can't increase them. Funny how the rules suddenly change when people start winning. I've been to plenty of casinos and have never experienced anything this shady. It felt like the staff were making up rules on the spot to protect the house rather than running a fair game. If players can't increase their bets when they're winning, but the casino is happy to take larger bets when people are losing, that's a huge red flag. The entire situation left a bad taste in my mouth. Between the conveniently timed shuffle and the selective enforcement of betting rules, it felt incredibly unprofessional and sketchy. There are plenty of casinos out there that treat customers fairly and don't make them feel like they're being targeted for winning. I won't be back, and I wouldn't recommend anyone give this place their money.

She assigned my friend a seat all the way across the crowded venue. My friend asked if she could pull a chair up and sit down, and the manager told her no. In fact, one of the first things she said to my friend was, "If you're handicapped, how did you get in here?" My friend, who's in her 70s, walks with a cane and was afraid to traverse the venue in the dark, because of trip hazards. She stood on a ramp for 2 HOURS, holding onto a railing. This staff member stood 10 feet behind her. When my friend asked her for her name, she said, "I'm not going to tell you." And when my friend was leaving, this woman called after her, "Goodnight! Thanks for coming!" Little fact for you: my friend was in the music business for 30 years, and handled the biggest clients and their money when women were generally relegated to sex objects. She founded famous music venues! She put up with a lot and deserves your respect. This woman by her web image seems to be general manager. She's definitely someone who can fire people, because another staff member was afraid (!) to help my friend for fear of losing their job. Blue Ocean Music Hall, you need a new general manager. She's an ADA lawsuit waiting to happen and has no empathy, graciousness, professionalism or sense of hospitality. She behaved like a straight up bigot and has no business working with the public. Obviously, she knows this, or she would have offered her name like a professional. Do better.

They were very accommodating for the marathon runners; we got a discount on the room, you could have the room until 4 so when you finish running you can shower and take a nap if you finished early enough, they opened their continental breakfast early (4 am) to make sure we were fed (And seriously it was the best breakfast for runners; bread things, hard boiled eggs, coffee), and it was only a 15 minute drive to the beach. The rooms were clean, don't expect some modern, fancy hotel. It was fine for the night. The beds are kind of firm which is fine for me, but it's something to note. We were also next to the stairs which can get noisy but once I'm asleep I'm pretty much down for the count. We had a refrigerator and iron, but I didn't see a hair dryer (Ladies! Bring your own if you need it.). It's pretty quaint, but it was absolutely doable.
