We usually order online. They make a great steak and the food in general is always good and quick.

We were visiting from out of town and decided to go here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. The pub is very nice and worked well for our family with a young child. The waitress was very kind and took our drink order and food order rather quickly once we all sat down. She check in on us frequently making sure we had what we needed. We had the perogies which were very good and either hamburgers or steak sandwiches. Everyone enjoyed their lunch and we would go back there again read more

We've visited a couple of times this past month. We like the bar, punched tin ceiling, and warm fireplace. The service is appreciative. They tend to be busy, so enjoy the atmosphere while you wait. The food is consistently good, and they have an excellent bar selection. read more

I'd definitely recommend this place if they believed in using the a/c!!' Otherwise it's 90 in the place!

This is a local staple ! I have gone here for years. A constant is feeling welcomed. Over the years Rhonda, the bartender + extraordinaire, has been a stand out and truly the heart of the pub. If you want friendly service and a comfortable feel... stop in and support this local business. They have revamped the menu. We tried the calamari... DELISH!!!!! read more

The Broadway Pub - Delish Calamari and yummy cocktails ! - Pubs Near Me - Bangor, Pennsylvania

The food is terrific--especially the short rib grilled cheese! People are friendly and the service is good.

Excellent place for dinner parties and celebrations. It's our go to for after event dinners. Excellent service. Wonderful food.

On this #Pride Sunday instead of heading to Gotham for the festivities, my partner and I went westward to visit family members in Bangor known as part of PA's slate belt. Their historic downtown contains a variety of architectural styles built between 1890 and 1910. The Broadway Pub is located on the ground floor of the old Colonial Hotel where we came here for brunch. Upon arrival, one can notice the high tin ceiling and antique belt driven fans. They also have a back room just renovated for meetings and social events. There were a few patrons enjoying their meal while watching NASCAR. Our server was Kelsie who was friendly and attentive. We ordered the banana foster pancakes, short ribs potato hash with eggs, ultimate grilled cheese ( Swiss, Cheddar, American and Pepper Jack), breakfast burger (1/2 burger, Swiss, bacon on top of fried egg) and 2 eggs, bacon, home fries with sourdough toast. The portions came out warm, tasty, huge portions with no complaints. The price was very reasonable. Service was quick and reliable. If you are in the area, please give this place a try. read more

What a great hidden gem! Right in historic downtown Bangor. The building is rustic and unique but their food menu and cocktail list were surely impressive. Something on the menu for everyone in our group. Live entertainment every Friday and Saturday plus trivia, music bingo and open mic night throughout the week. Atmosphere is cozy and inviting and the staff is always friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Kudos to the staff of BROADWAY PUB. Will be returning!! read more

Went to grab a bite here after visiting a local winery. Food was okay but nothing to brag about. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. She recommended drinks which were good but overpriced for the location and setting ($10+ each). Looks like an old western saloon and the bar was long and cool looking too. Definitely just a local spot to grab a bite to eat and drink at the bar while watching "the game". Would I return? Probably not. read more

Cute little place. Caramel apple martini was delicious. Shrimp Tacos also very good. The medatranian pizza was eh, crust was doughy and needed more basil to enhance the flavor of the balsamic reduction drizzled on top. Service was ok, staff was friendly but my second Caramel martini was different from my first so not consistent. Overall I would go back and try this place again, just hope they improve the pizza. read more

First time eating here. Kind of a quiet Tuesday night so we're we're seated right away and our server was over quickly. Beer selection was typical, nothing really special that caught my eye. Menu ranged from burgers/cheese steaks to short ribs/salmon entrées. The ladies got salmon, the guys got the smash burger (double patties and bacon) with crispy onions and a garlic aioli (I think). We all enjoyed our meal, my burgers (2 1/2 lb pattie's) were cooked perfectly (medium). Very good flavor, got the onion rings with mine. Very crispy, batter did not fall off after the first bite. Overall a good place to grab a bite and a beer if you like typical beers. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. read more

Amazing small town bar and pub I am a huge wing fan and this spot by far has some of the best I've ever had Rhonda behind the bar is an amazing person and makes you always feel welcome the prices are great and not only the staff but the other customers as well are super friendly if you get the chance definitely stop by and get the spicy ranch wings read more

You can catch a little buzz on the hot wings, good drink selection, good people fun times

Great quality food at very reasonable price. Shrimp fantasy was very tasty and perfectly portioned. Wife's NY strip was cooked properly and nicely seasoned. Risotto and broccoli with it both good. A lot of sandwiches on the menu and will be back to try some of them. Overall very happy with our entrees and plan to return. One thing that could limit us though is the limited number of gluten-free options. The decor, atmosphere and friendliness is great. Really classy, interesting feel. read more

Best wings within 50 miles. Staff is super-friendly and very courteous. You will feel very comfortable and "at home" in this wonderful old building with tin ceilings and antique fixtures. The Broadway Pub is on the ground floor of the old Colonial Hotel. I'm not sure if rooms are still rented on a night by night basis or if they house monthly renters. I've worked my way through their menu and it is all very good but I find it hard to pass on the wings....YUM !!! read more

They won't honor their own giftcards. They told us they changed giftcard providers and that was that. Lost a customer for good.

Was in town for a short trip and found this place totally by accident. The ribs were fantastic the beer cold and good and had a good time. Nice to be home but looking forward to heading back to Maine so with this charge I think I'm ready to hit the road. Worth a stop OK read more

Food was mediocre and cold. Waitress was rude didnt even tell her name. Took 25 minutes to get us a water and we were the only ones eating at the time. She stood to the side talking with the other servers. Definitely wont be back. read more

The Broadway Pub got a new menu a few months back, and I have to say, absolutely everything I've had off of it has been delicious. I highly recommend the melts - they are so tasty! The spinach and artichoke dip is also pretty awesome. The wait staff - usually pretty good. The bartending staff is great! Atmosphere in here changes from day to night. I've been in for lunch, or to pick up a to go order, and there are scattered people sitting at the bar, chatting with the bartenders and watching TV. At night, it has been pretty busy for dinner. On the weekends, they get a good drinking crowd. There are also specials every night! I follow them on Facebook, where they announce drink specials once in awhile. I live right around the corner, so for me, this is a very convenient place to go. However, if you're driving through, stop in! The new menu has really won my heart over compared to the old one. It's also a great place to just stop in to have a drink! And while another reviewer wrote that everyone knows each other... I don't think so... I just think that everybody likes talking to one another. When the crowd is small and all located at the bar, I've found they are really friendly. read more

Portion size is plentiful. Sundays here are the best though... All you can eat wings for 8.95. Doesn't get much better than that. Have some decent sauces and the wings are meaty. Service is always friendly. The restaurant itself is old and has lots of character. Definitely a 4 for the price! read more

I'm out in this area to see family semi-often, and on almost every trip I stop in for the wings. Sinfully Creamy are my favorite. Surprisingly, I have had the best crab cake from here... it's outrageously good. It's not on the menu anymore, but if they happen to have crab meat for one of their specials, they'll make it for you- I HIGHLY recommend trying to get it. read more

Food is good, atmosphere is okay. What irks me about this place is it's terrible service. I eat here a lot (I love the vodka pasta) and not once have a gone a visit without receiving terrible service. The waitresses are always busy talking with each other and don't make waiting on the customers their priority. I once asked my waitress for some boxes for my food. She walked over to the boxes, started talking to another waitress, walked away without our boxes, went to another table, got them drinks... THEN came back to us to ask us how we are doing. I was amazed. She forgot she was JUST HERE. Then of course she was like oh man yeah the boxes! Where do you get your staff? Please, I'd love to know. read more

This is a favorite hangout for the local drunks, so be careful one of the drunk drivers doesn't clip you on your way out. Food is ok; neither great nor terrible. Owner is super, super nasty and awful to deal with. read more

Great place to get some tasty wings and watch some sports. The food quality is high and service is excellent.

Just out for a Sunday drive and found this place on Yelp for lunch. What a find! They have all you can eat wings with at least a dozen sauces-so tempting, especially the wings rolled in butter and Parmesan ( I know, right?!). I'll have to come back to try them! We wound up ordering burgers, fries and onion rings. I had one with blue cheese and mushrooms, fantastic! The burger was 'real', not a patty, you could tell it was fresh. The fries were battered, love that, the onion rings were fresh and came out piping hot with a great dipping sauce. They take great care with the food here-everything was good, and I'm very picky. There was a nice crowd-a lot of people ordering wings and hanging out watching the football games. Nice relaxed vibe -gotta get back to try the wings-highly recommend this place! read more

Stopped for lunch and had a great experience. They could use a dedicated server in the bar and smaller plates would make the meals look huge in comparison to the large plates, but there is plenty, and it is tasty! Old reliable. Been living in the bangor area for five years and am probably in here every 2 months or so. Comfortable, always 3-4 craft (usually iPa's)always fresh on tap. Service never been an issue for us even when busy. Best of all you don't have to be one of the 12 crime families of the slate belt to have friendly service all the way through here. read more

Not exactly my cup of tea. I'm not from the Bangor area, and it's clear that everyone here knows each other and hangs out here nearly every day. Mostly a punk-type crowd. I came here during the heatwave thinking it might be a respite from the heat, but the AC was broken. It was over 90 degrees out... at night! I couldn't stand it very long. read more

The Broadway Pub has been a great addition to the area, and has been drawing in decent crowds for their nightlife scene. The place is absolutely beautiful inside, and you can tell a lot of care and attention to detail has gone into the restoration of the building that was once the dumpiest place in Bangor (the Colonial, different owners). I've enjoyed their food the handful of times I've had it, but haven't tried out their more upscale dining room which, I'm told, has a different menu. But more often than not, I'd go for the nightlife, which consists of a very 20's set, not shy to let on that they're having a good time. While the live bands can sometimes be too loud, there's at least the rear dining room one can scurry off to in order to have a conversation. But typically everything's a-ok. The drink service at the bar is as prompt as circumstances allow, the bartenders are typically friendly if not jovial, and the prices are pretty reasonable. Even if I weren't a smoker, I'd probably still visit the sidewalk occasionally, as the gaggle outside the door can be an interesting bunch depending on their levels of drunkenness. And it's always fun to see a group of drinkers who've been stripped of the insulating loud music and dim lights. Good times are to be had at this place. And if times get a little too good, you can rent a room upstairs for $45. read more

I was just there this evening and the DJ was so god awful and the place so empty that I ultimately felt like I should share my experience with the world. Why 5 stars, you ask? Because I remember when my parents split up when I was 6 years old and my dad stayed here for a month to try and reconcile with my mom. He said it was the perfect the place to kill yourself. I guess any place that is so incredibly terrible it would meet all requisite expectations of a venue for committing suicide rightly deserves to be recognized in some form or fashion. I will definitely be back. read more

My husband and I just had a late lunch there and we were very pleased with our food. I had the Asian Pecan Chicken Salad and my husband had the Honey Crunch Wrap. Both were fresh and tasty. The salad included julienne apples and carrots, spring greens, blue cheese, pecans, craisins and a sizeable portion of glazed grilled chicken. The server was pleasant and efficient. The only negative--she was the only staff person we saw and she was doing it all. We almost left when we first came in since we waited 5 minutes without seeing anyone. The food was worth the wait though. read more

I had an opportunity to visit the Broadway Pub in Bangor, PA recently. What a delightful surprise. If you love old-world feel or are nostalgic... you will enjoy the large wooden-carved bar and masonry ambiance. Food was good. One of my friends had seared tuna and rolled her eyes in delight. It was cooked just right with the pink center that you would expect. I myself had an old favorite Caesar salad with grilled chicken. Chicken was slightly over-cooked but had great flavor and still tender for cutting. Overall, I witnessed a community of people that frequent this place, pay tribute to a very gifted acoustic player, that was returning to he's home-state. Unbelievable outpouring of affection/respect for this man, whose signature is a friend along the way. Well, he left a trail of friends along the way....and they in turn befriended others along their way! Quite an evening. Of course the event was usual, but I left having the feeling that community was what Broadway Pub is about. It was reflective in their waitstaff and bar-persons. Yeah, I would go back again! read more

Shittiest place I've ever eaten in my life I would never spend my money here or go here ever again the kitchen is disgusting the floors are never mopped don't waste your money read more

I can't comment on the food, because we never got to eat it. In planning a 40th wedding anniversary party, we were never informed at any point during the process that our party of 12 wouldn't be able to order entrees at 1pm. After waiting 20 minutes to be seated, we were told we'd have to wait to put our order in because another large party just put theirs in. We ordered two bottles of wine and they were delivered promptly, but after the 2nd person ordered an entree, our waitress said she'd have to check with the kitchen to see if they could help us out. To no avail. We're not talking elaborate entrees here either. Our party was disgusted and ready to storm out but kudos to our waitress who was nice enough to comp one of the bottles of wine and try to help us out. Overall, this almost ruined a wonderful day, because of lack of communication and an inability to help us out. It's a shame that a place like this, in an area with such a dearth of viable sit-down food options, can't get its act together and accommodate a group. read more

On a friend's recommendation we went to the Broadway pub. We loved the historic charm of the place. The restaurant was pretty empty being a Monday, We told our waiter Christopher (who by the way was very friendly, and welcoming, & attentive)that we had never been there what did he recommend. He said everything on the menu is great, fresh, made to order & home made. He was right. We had French onion soup, 1/2 dozen sinfully creamy wings, Asian pecan chicken salad with maple poppyseed dressing & a meatball parmesan hogie. The soup delicious cheese broiled nicely on the crock topped with crunchy French fried onions, the wings were amazing, a flavor I've never experienced before (they had several interesting flavors) they had a nice crispy coating, were juicy and meaty with a nice dipping sauce along with fresh celery, the salad was fresh (didnt taste like bagged salad) with grilled moist chicken cranberries, almonds, carrots, orange segments to name a few ingredients along with an amazing homemade dressing, the meatball parm came out piping hot with tasty meatballs & tasty cheese & nice bun. A huge portion with crispy fries & pickle. We were so stuffed from dinner we didn't opt for dessert which sounded yummy too. Got to save something for next time. Christopher said they have all you can eat wings on Sundays, sounds like a glutanous temptation. We would definitely go back even though it would mean a drive over the NJ border and through the beautiful PA countryside! read more
