Cute little bakery in Britannia. They have cookies, squares, croissants, donuts and cakes. As well as jams, honey, and other shelf-stable items you'd associate with sweets. The place is rather small and it was bustling for a Sunday afternoon, so I couldn't take any interior photos for y'all, sorry. The baked goods were around $3 to $9.
They had a day-old clearance section. Some of the items seemed pricey for day-old goods, such as 2 squares for $8, or 2 donuts for $6. However, I spotted a slice of apple coffee cake for $2 and got that.
The apple coffee cake was surprisingly moist for a day-old cake and was tasty. If their day-old items taste like that, I'm looking forward to returning and trying out some fresh items at regular price.
We walked there, and it's just off the Ottawa River Pathway, so it's a scenic walk if you live close to an entrance point to the Ottawa River Pathway. If you're coming by car it's street parking only, which can be tough to find on warm sunny days since it's close to Britannia Beach and Park. read more
