Within 5 minutes w/ Gabe, he was able to show me three concrete things that I could work on to improve my technique and reduce the risk of injury. My swing has literally never looked like it has in the picture -- now I know what to strive for each time I practice. After about 10 days of working on those things, I feel like I'm improving and, more importantly, I'm able to work on things without injury. I think the most helpful thing for me were Gabe's explanations about why those things (trail arm hinge, hip rotation, extension) were so important to building a solid foundation and avoiding further damage to my elbows. He also emphasized the importance of feeling uncomfortable when working on new things, which I think we all intuitively understand but don't make a priority in our regular practice. Looking forward to working with Gabe again when I'm back in the city -- in the meantime I plan on hitting him up for virtual lessons. Added bonuses -- the Five Iron location is super nice and the technology and equipment they have there are top notch. This is possible because Gabe has the teaching and playing experience to coach you in all aspects of your game, whether it's course management or building confidence around your shots. Gabe has elevated my awareness of my own swing and helped me stay committed to making long term swing changes. Like many golfers starting out, I still struggle with the basics like consistent contact, club face control, and release. No instructor can transform your swing overnight, but TRUST he will give you the right things to work on and many ways to work on them. As a result, I am making solid contact with the ball more frequently, have 15+ yards in distance per club, and am hitting straighter shots. Most importantly, Gabe will teach you how to be your own coach. Working with Gabe over time has given me the tools to diagnose and straighten out issues in my own swing even on a day when "I just can't seem to hit the ball." It has also taught me to consume the myriad golf content I encounter online with a critical eye. I know what I need to work on thanks to Gabe, and any of the bad rounds I shoot now and going forward would not be for a lack of excellent instruction. If this is helpful context, I picked up golf in 2020, have mediocre natural hand-eye coordination, and am not a particularly quick learner. All that is to say that if Gabe can help my game this much in six months, he can most certainly help anyone. There is no one I would rather trust with my swing.

I ordered their gochujang boneless wings they came like 5-10 minutes after i sat down. I'm eating 2 boneless wings they tasted fine but when i get to the third wing the texture was just off. I proceeded to tell the guy at the bar my wing is raw and he's like "that's not possible we grill the boneless wings, it's okay if they're a little pink." A little pink? I know i didn't want a rare nugget.I showed it to him and a manager they gave me another order of wings they were a bit more crispy. They sent two orders in by accident so i ended up taking home an order of wings. Overall staff is nice the place looks clean. Just make sure you check your food.

Very poor customer service, He didnt even remember that he met me a week earlier. For $190 Evan was a complete scam!

After a few swings Marc was able to diagnose the main issue with the swing and make the proper adjustment. They were able to work through irons, driver and sand wedge within the hour and he is excited to put the revamped swing to use on the course. He also particularly loved the screen that you hit into and the type of data you are able to derive from it (angle of contact, open vs closed club face, etc.). It was easy to see how the adjustment translated into better data and better contact. Now he is excited to put what he learned to use on the course.

I really wanted to improve my game and was getting frustrated with how inconsistently I was hitting the ball, even though I would work hard to hit the range on a weekly basis. Marc started me out with the basics, teaching me to improve minor things in my swing. He never stressed getting things right the first time, but rather getting me to a point where I could start playing consistent golf and start scoring. As the lessons wemt on, I could feel my swing start to gradually change and fill out more. It was a beautiful thing to experience. After four lessons and a good deal of practice on the concepts Marc has taught me, I am now scoring on the golf course better than I would have ever imagined (from 105s to 88s). My drives are straight and my irons are more accurate than they've ever been, with very consistent, pure contact. This was by far the best decision I could have ever made for my golf game, and I strongly recommend Marc to anyone that wants to learn the right mechanics of swinging a club and wants to finally iron out that nasty slice!

Since the last time I did weight machines was in the Jack LaLanne/ Bally Total Fitness era, I decided to hire a trainer to give me a kind of orientation and help me launch a fitness routine. Liam came highly recommended. He customizes our sessions to reach my goals, and modifies them as my goals change. Liam knows my medical conditions, which he works with, and weak areas, which he helps me to strengthen. He suggests exercises I feel comfortable doing on my own in the gym, or at home. Liam can point out details of how a position or motion should feel, so I know when I'm doing it correctly. I have the attention span of a flea, yet he designs routines that are challenging and entertaining. He checks in often during a session, yet he can somehow inspire one or two more reps out of me than I believe possible. Befitnyc has a variety of classes which I've just begun to check out, from barre-pilates and tai chi to cross- and interval-training to zumba, all included in the very reasonable cost of membership. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and the facilities are clean and well designed for a relatively small space. Best of all, the laid-back, diverse clientele makes me feel like I belong.

i joined because it's close to my apartment. on my very…read morefirst day i was discriminated against by another gym member due to a disability and having a service animal. upon signing up, i was told this would happily be accommodated. this gym allows other gym members to harass people with service animals and they did nothing to fix the situation. they just kept telling me to exile myself in another room instead of use the machine i wanted to use. they allow toxic white male members to boss around female members who aren't even doing anything wrong. i will be filing a lawsuit for disability discrimination and will not be coming back here. this was a traumatic experience that i never hope to go through ever again.
