This golf place is super clean and had awesome music playing in the waiting area. The music also plays in the back area too where lessons are being taught. Today was my first golf lesson ever and first at this place. The front desk lady was nice and helpful. My instructor was running a bit late due to traffic and she asked if it was ok to move my lesson to a little later time as he was running late. My instructor Chris was great dealing with a newbie to golf like myself. I gave it four stars and not 5 only due to the fact that the music that was playing in the waiting area as I said above plays in the back area and to me it was a little distracting to hear the music that was sorta on the loud side while trying to listen to the instructor. I mistakenly booked this simulator when I meant to book one nearby where my nephew works. The website says the bookings are non refundable which makes sense given you're reserving a room. I called and the owner answered the phone. I explained my mistake and he graciously offered a refund and gave me a great pitch about LoftLinks. He so easily could have rested on the policy of no refunds, and I really appreciate his earnestness. We'll be intentionally reserving the next time we book a simulator! read more

They charge the same as 5 iron Golf but provide NOTHING in terms of video feedback that you can take away. Nor any reports. The desk tells you "take a picture with your phone" of the results on the screen. So you're going to go to your cell phone camera after every shot? Totally absurd. Great facilities! Beginner golfer with first time using a simulator. Simulator shows pictures of your club impact each time which gives way more feedback than a regular driving range. Clean place, good tunes, friendly staff. Privacy from curtained rooms is helpful for concentration. Clubs felt comfortable as well. Would definitely recommend. read more

This place doesn't even deserve a star. The people here are so nasty you rather go to any other place. The owner couldn't be more unhelpful and unreasonable. They have 4 simulators but you can only use 1 of them if your above 6ft and want to hit driver. They walk down the aisles and always have something to say whether it's moving your ball an inch closer to the x or your bag is in the way. This place is un accommodating and very unprofessional. It stems for the owner and then everyone is frightened to do anything because of the recourse of them losing there job. When you just want to hit some balls this place couldn't be further from the environment you want to be at. read more

The option that Yelp gives you for 2-stars says "Could've been better," and that's basically the entirety of LoftLinks. They built out a reasonably nice space in a convenient location if you live nearby. The four semi-private bays are all too small to be comfortable and compared to the competitors in NYC they are the smallest and most unattractive golf simulator bays. Then again, if LoftLinks is nearby to you then it might make sense to check it out. Where LoftLinks really goes wrong is with staffing and ownership. Having been a member at a few of the indoor golf facilities throughout NYC, I've gotten to know the way places are run and this is by far the nastiest and least friendly. Now you might say, "it's pandemic times they have to be strict," and you're absolutely right. But the personal staffing issues run straight to the owner who always seems to have a negative demeanor and is far less than friendly for a guy who's trying to build a business in a struggling city. He should learn how to communicate respectfully to his customers as they will only put up with so much of his unnecessary attitude. Perhaps his attitude is much of the reason that he has a revolving door of staff. read more

Definitely a bit more congested space than 5iron, but considering it's the only option for hitting balls in this part of NYC not a bad option. 6'2" and had no problems hitting driver, except ball constantly bounced out of bay & they have these little, unfixed plastic tees that go everywhere after a driver strike. Clean facility and good tunes playing. If they could add barriers to bay to keep balls in, have a swing cam, & install fixed tees (like 5iron), then five stars. read more

Two stars because the space is new and I will note that some of the hard product issues are likely related to location (i.e., UES commercial RE constraints). Plus, I think 1-star reviews should be reserved for the truly horrible locations (e.g., outright sanitation issues, mischarging, outright false marketing, expired food etc.). I've been twice now, so this review is not off of a one-off visit - this time the desk was manned by the owner (last time was a staff member). I really wanted to like it because I live in the UES, but felt compelled to leave this review for others. I usually do not want to leave negative reviews as I want businesses (especially local) to succeed, but based on interactions they did not seem very receptive to feedback. Hard product (Location): The space is new and the decor is reasonably nice. The simulators are Full Swing - while I prefer Trackman (some prefer the graphics and the tracking), this is fine and pros use both. Unfortunately, the positives kind of end there. Given it is a converted UES 2nd floor walk up, you are working with a tight space. Ceilings are low and the space in general is tight (watch your driver swing, wedges don't always register properly, would be very cramped if not hitting alone etc.). In addition, there are a few things which cannot really be explained. For example, the hitting bay is very small, so when you strike a ball, it bounces back out of the bay to the hallway with wood floors where it rolls around (once you go once you will see what I mean). This could be an easy fix with an entrance net / hallway gate (similar with dogs), and I brought this up to the manager. The response was "absolutely not" with no further explanations. In addition, there is no usual rubber practice tee, just the half-badminton tees for another thing to hunt down after every shot. The balls are also a bizarre mix with first ball offered being a cracked Noodle ball - was changed to a basic Taylormade ball which was fine, but only upon request. None of these are issues with other indoor simulator facilities I have been to in NYC. A Pro V1 costs $4 new. Even a decent ball like Callaway Supersoft is $2 each. The incremental savings to use a $1 ball for a $50-70/hour facility is strange considering how long balls last and how few you need for a simulator business. Soft product (Service): I'll corroborate what others said here about the service. What should be a fairly low-touch experience is bizarrely unpleasant. In theory you are just checking in, hitting on your own, then leaving after your allotted time. None of this should be terribly complicated, but the owner/staff makes you feel very unwelcome while in the lobby waiting for your time. See above about suggestions or questions being taken in a very dismissive manner. It's just a strange position for a business owner to take. Golf is supposed to be a pleasant experience, but you just leave in a very bad mood. Maybe you get a different service if you're a member or look a certain way, since the owner seemed friendlier to another guest who was there at the same time. But judging from other reviews, I'm not alone. When you have a space with some limitations, it seems strange to not try to offer better service and build a rapport with customers. It also looks like the owner first claimed the business, got some negative reviews and then unclaimed it - maybe he will claim it back to respond to this and even consider changing the way he conducts business, but who knows. They will probably continue to have business because there aren't a lot of choices in the UES. I'm not here to push another competitor, so all I'll say is even if you live in UES (and especially elsewhere) - do your research and try a few other facilities. I was considering membership here since I'm so close, but unless something changes it's probably worth the extra 10min trip to another location. read more
