I stumbled upon this store way back in February/March during the Van Wert Chocolate Walk. It was on of the stops and the moment I walked in the store, i gave an audible gasp. This place was beautiful! The decor was amazing! I was immediately imagining how it would look like in the house i was buying. I knew at that moment this store was dangerous... because it would separate me from my money in no time! I spoke with the owner of the store, Joanne, when i found out that they also did drapes. My new home came with some awfully garish drapes... purple drapes!?!?! Black drapes for a dining room? Ridiculous! I needed some new drapes and Joanne promised me she would show me some great options. She came to my new home and measured, she came up with someone wonderful ideas. During this time i also found out she was an interior designer. I just hired her to help me decorate the home and get me new drapes and decor to make my home beautiful. This was a great decision! Joanne has impeccable taste! She listens and understands the type of style her customers have... she then takes that and brings pieces that tastefully use that style to adorn and enrich your home. So much of my home decor now is from her store! I love how beautiful my home is!!!! Love it!!!!! If you are looking to change the drapes in your home... this is the place! Decent mix of stuff for ladies (jewelry, vintage clothing, smalls, etc) and guys (militaria, tools, etc). Worth a stop if you are in town.

I actually didn't event notice it as it shares the same space as the coffee shop, there is a door to the left as you enter the coffee shop. Such a small little place but filled with plenty of gift items for friends and loved ones as well as amazing decor to beautify your home! It also sells amazing scented three wick candle jars! Some of the best candles i ever used and last way longer than any others! Place also sells handmade soaps, but i have not tried those yet. If you are in Van Wert, you should definitely stop by! Take a look and shop and then get a great coffee at Brewed Expressions!

We missed so many shops in Michigan because they wouldn't allow well behaved dogs! Their loss! The owner, Sabrina, is as sweet as her shop! There are SO many wonderful things at reasonable prices and the place is bigger than it looks! It's neat, tidy, and well organized. My only complaint is that it is over 2 hours from where I live! I found a sweet artist print that I took home but had to pass on a furniture piece that we didn't have room for! Don't miss this one if you love antiques, collectibles or home decor!! I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Anyway, without further ado, my review of Touches of Time Antique Mall: I love antiques! I love anything that's old, any thing that reminds me of the past. My favorite subject growing up was history... still is one of my favorite types of book to read. I just feel like I was born in the wrong time. More over, one of my favorite hobbies is shopping for home decor. I love making my home more beautiful and comfortable. Antique stores, which combine both my love of old things and my love of decor... is one of my favorite types of store to shop in. Touches of Time, is one of the better antique stores I have been to and has become one of my favorite stores in my new home town of Van Wert. I have come several times already. I have bought items for myself including beer steins, antique candle holders, and other items. I bought my friend apple some cute gifts from here, that she loved. I also came here during the 2020 Van Wert Chocolate Walk, which they were involved to giving out free chocolate. This store is just wonderful, it has items of all kinds: Christmas decorations, books, furniture, collectibles, tools, a huge grandfather clock, coins, etc. Come here often because there is always sometime new and interesting here to find. Place is huge, three floors for you to explore! What more can I say about it, except that you need to come check it out!

I first came by Lee's Ace Hardware back on February for two reasons:…read more 1) I wanted to look thru the store and see if this was a store I could purchase hardware and other essentials from 2) I was looking to buy paint. I had just moved into my new home and some rooms needed to be repainted. I was pleased with their paint section. They sold a number of different paints by Benjamin Moore (which I have used in the past and really liked) as well as Magnolia Home by Joanna Gaines. For those unfamiliar with who she is, she along with her husband Chip used to have a tv show called Fixer Upper, which I truly loved. Joanna Gaines is an amazing decorator and I had in the past bought some of her home decor online. The paint was beautiful and I almost did buy it. I may have gone with Sherwin Williams because the decorator and handyman I hired used this but it was almost painted with Magnolia Home. So if your looking for paint in the area, definitely check out Ace. I also explored the rest of the store in future occasions. They have a decently size outdoor furniture, decor and accessories area. They had some furniture I am definitely thinking about buying as well as their bird feeders/baths. I have always had them in all my homes and I am planning on having bird bath and/or bird feeders again in my new home considering there are so many in my yard. It's just a pleasure to see nature and I take pleasure and am fascinated in seeing bird fly about since I was a child. I will get to it once I am done with my major changes to my home. That said the store does have a little bit of everything but most of the departments are a bit small so you may not find everything you are looking for. For example, I couldn't find a large enough garden hose, only finding 50-75 ft hoses and I need much larger ones. Staff is super friendly, always asking if they could help you with a smile. All in all, a good hardware store and a good choice in the Van Wert area.

I went in for a wooden yardstick for a school project. What should have been a quick 5 minutes…read morepurchase took almost 10 minutes. My first customer service rep was eating, on her laptop and phone and didn't answer when I asked for help. The second rep had no idea where to find a yardstick. Thank goodness a guy who was REALLY doing something else with another customer finally helped me! I guess they have new staff???

The first time was two years ago when I first moved to the area, The Corner Treasures was one of my first stops at the Van Wert Chocolate Walk. I promised myself I would returned but then covid happened and so much else got in the way. I walked around and there was obviously a lot less things for sale then when I first came in here two years before. Owners were definitely nice people. Really wish I would have made time to check it out before they went out of business.
