I got them because the company who ultimately hired/recruited me pretty much told me after I met with them... call these guys and look for a house. So I called them. I dealt with two individuals: Bob and Rob Gamble, father and son team. Though, Rob was ultimately by realtor... his father Bob took me around looking for houses in my first go around as Rob was doing an auction at the time. Bob picked me up from the hotel and while he was looking for houses, he also gave me a tour of the town. He showed me where the local Catholic Church was (I asked because my mother wanted to know), where the hospital was located, where the grocery stores were, the art center, movie theatre and the performing arts center was located. He also got me a tour of the performing arts center! Now that's awesome! He, of course, showed me the houses and that's where I first saw the house I ultimately bought. Beautiful 3 bed, 3 bath, 3 garage house... 1 acre... beautiful house. So many parts of it made me fall in love... the master bath with whirlpool tub... the pine trees all over the yard... the dining room with the columns... Perfect? No it needed some work done... also I wish it had been 4 bed... but it was gorgeous! I later looked at more houses on another day with Rob. Both were patient, understanding and incredibly helpful. Rob went above and beyond as a realtor. He understood I was moving from Miami, and so he helped me as much as he could. I would call him with questions I would normally not ask a realtor like: Do you know a flooring person? Do you know who to call to set up trash pick up? Etc. I bombarded him with questions in all hours of the day... and he was nice enough to answer me... always friendly... always with great advice. When my department threw me a welcome party to welcome me both to the company and to the area, he showed up just to welcome me into town. The gambles are just wonderful realtors and people. If you are looking for a great realtor, call Beegee and ask for either Rob or Bob Gamble. They will find and guide you to the right house.

I smelled each of the candles for sale and they all smelled heavenly. I chose two to take home, which were Magnolia and Caribbean Teakwood. I was very happy with my purchase. They also had room sprays for sale, but I did not buy that. Great business, and if you like candles, I would recommend this company!

I stumbled upon Fettig's Flowers back during the Van Wert Chocolate Walk in March. I came here…read morebecause it was one of the stops in the walk, they gave everyone a chocolate rose. I loved the flower shop and promised myself I would return... took months due to covid but glad I came by. It's more than just a flower shop, although they do sell flowers and make arrangements. But, while in there I found a number of little pieces of home decor that I brought home... two pieces because it had a spiritual significance to me. During the early morning hours of the day I went to the flower shop, I got up from bed because I was thirsty. It was still dark out and I walked from my bedroom towards the kitchen. Several of my plants and trees in my backyard are lighted and I saw this beautiful cardinal perched on one of the trees. I am from Florida so I had never seen a Cardinal before. Beautiful bird. Later that morning, I was telling my mother about it and all of a sudden the cardinal flew into one of the windows. It was ok and flew away but certainly it was startling. I then went to this flower shop and I noticed a little statuette of an angel holding a cardinal and it said: When a cardinal appears in your yard, it is a visitor from heaven. I was shocked. Next to it was another angel statuette of an angel holding a butterfly and it said Butterflies are the heaven sent kisses of an angel. When I was young, my little sister died. It hurt a lot and I remember I was told... perhaps as a way to comfort me that if I ever saw a butterfly... it was my sister visiting me. Ever since then, I have had a connection to them and they always catch my sight. I may have grown up, and I may understand that butterflies are just an insect... a beautiful one but an insect. Nevertheless, I still carry that idea/fantasy close to my heart. Seeing those two together, made me want to buy them. Maybe I am deluding myself, but I felt the need to buy them. The store has lots of other decor for gardens and such... including beautiful wind chimes which I also purchased. I love wind chimes! Beautiful store, can't say anything about the flowers because I haven't bought any, but this store is definitely worth a look!

I thought it looked like an interesting flower shop but didn't think much more on that as I went in to eat. Months later and I received two gifts from that store from different people. First at the end of December 2021, my boss sent my family and I a beautiful sympathy flower arrangement from Secret Garden. The flowers were beautiful and I was sincerely touched that he sent flowers due to my mom's cancer. Then on my birthday, on Jan 10 2022, my friend Sondra S. also had a different gift sent to me which consisted of snacks and chocolate. I have been slowly consuming it and can say it was really yummy! Wonderful flower and gift shop, you should definitely check it out if you need flowers or gift delivered in Convoy and Van Wert.

I came to Laurie's Nature Scapes because I was working on my backyard. I needed plants, planters…read moreand other items in order to turn my backyard into a truly beautiful sanctuary. As Audrey Hepburn once said, ""To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow." Every time I move somewhere, I plant... I plant a tree... I plant flowers. It's my way to show hope that one day I will find a place I can really call home... find a place I can plant my own roots into. Anyway, I digress... Laurie's has an extensive selection of items... it has plants and tree for sale... as well as outdoor decor like wind chimes, planters, outdoor thermometers, etc. It also sells other sundry items for sale including candles, barbecue sauces, margarita mixes and other items made naturally. Pretty cool! Unfortunately, it seems due to covid everyone else also had the idea of fixing up their garden so I was told their usual extensive selection had been greatly decreased. They were helpful enough to order some red planters that I wanted for my backyard and garden. I would have to unfortunately find plants somewhere else because they didn't have many left unsold but I certainly appreciated their help. The planters were beautiful! I will definitely come back from time to time as It will be well into next year until I get my backyard the way I want it. Wonderful place! Also, I love their cat they have on premises... such a sweet and friendly cat! The place also has a goat which I think is fun.
