So my story is long but I hope it will help you all. Lady who owns this business is super nice BUT i don't think she knows how to cut chiffon nor what kind of needle to use on different materials. I came to her two months before my wedding. All i needed is to change belt on my dress and shorten the length of my dress. as you can see on the bottom ( all of it had to be straight evenly cut), it was chopped , my dress was ruined. worst thing is that I find this out 2 weeks before my wedding. she tried to fix it but it was worthless. i needed a new dress . lady was nice and she paid me for my dress and money back for her work. but the price i bought my dress was 1/6 of what prices are on the market. because i bought my dress 8 month in advance when it wasn't wedding season. i was devastated.... would i recommend her a nice lady, yes , but not to fix any of my dresses again. read more

Barb is great!! I had just had a baby seven weeks ago(at the time of alterations) and was in a bind when it came to a bridesmaids dress I purchased when I was twelve weeks pregnant. In anticipation of just having a baby and being in a wedding I purchased the dress two sizes too big(didn't know how my body shape would be after baby). Well, as it turns out I was really sick the entire pregnancy and didn't gain much weight. Take that, plus birthing a huge baby and you have a dress that is waaayyy to big. Thanks to yelp, I found The Bridal Tapestry and I'm so glad I did. Barb got me in quickly, fitted me and scheduled an appt for a week later. When I came back for my last fitting it was still a little big, but not a problem for Barb. I sat in her cute little shop room as she went away for about 20 minutes to fix the dress exactly to my liking. In the end, the dress fit great and I will definitely go see Barb again for any alterations. I was referred to Barb from the salon where I bought my wedding dress. I cannot rave enough about her! My initial request started with basic wedding dress alterations, and to attempt to replicate a discontinued veil I had seen in another store unavailable for purchase. Barb was just a pleasure to work with! She made me feel very comfortable during my fittings and had great suggestions about how we could customize my dress. In the end, we did a total transformation of my dress making it exactly what I had been looking for in stores but was unable to find. She created a sweetheart neckline and made lace straps from the hem that was taken from the bottom of the dress. Then she created a beautiful birdcage veil that completed the look. I have had a wonderful experience with Barbara! She is just recently getting over breast cancer yet she still has such a wonderful spirit about her! I enjoyed every minute of every fitting. She made me feel super comfortable and did a BEAUTIFUL job on my dress. And her price is definitely affordable compared to a lot of other alterations places. She works out of her home and the customer service that she has with her brides is so much better than most places. I found Beatrice online first and had talked with her on the phone but did not have a good feeling about her. I had made an appointment because I felt as if it were my only option. Then I found Barbara at The Bridal Tapestry and I'm so glad I did! I immediately canceled my appointment with Beatrice even though I had to wait a few days longer to get an appointment with Barbara.
