Thought we had found a great place for pizza and pasta. Well not so much. Eggplant Parmesan was burned, meat balls tasted like they had been frozen and had to use a sharp knife to cut them. Marinara sauce was absolutely the worst ever. The AuJus was incredibly salty. We told the waitress to please clear, she asked if we enjoyed our food, we told her no. They have a really good menu and plan to return and try other items! What a fantastic restaurant, everything we have ordered from a wedge salad, to the Baked Potato Pizza, to any of the other specialties have been amazingly fresh and served hot and timely. Every pizza we have tried has been GREAT! Kids menu is wonderful, a fresh made pepperoni or cheese pizza that my grandchildren love. Completely dismissive and disrespectful and told on himself by saying why can't you eat the burned pizza but the other people in your party can. Excuse me???? Ate here for lunch, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and welcoming. The service was great and the timing for the food was perfect. Ordered the Forbidden Fruit cocktail which is probably my new favorite drink. Has the artichoke dip for an appetizer which was very yummy. Decided on having the Rueben with pasta salad for my meal. The Rueben itself was alright, I did not like the sautéed sauerkraut (I prefer cold plain sauerkraut) because the charred taste was not good. The pasta salad was different but delicious (not Italian dressing based). The only real problem I had was my silverware had gross stuff all over it. read more

The pizza tasted like Little Caesars (which is mediocre), but costs more. Was nothing special. No specialty pizza slices or smalls. No crushed red pepper or parmesan on tables. My pizza was cold and rubbery by the time the red pepper was brought to me. Staff was nice, but slow. Do not plan on coming back. I'd also like to add that I always support local pizza joints over chains, but if you're craving pizza in Jackson you're better off with Pizza Hut sadly. read more

We have tried to eat here numerous times (they close at 2 on Sunday and they are closed on Monday) and we were in town andfinally got the chance tonight. We came in around 830pm so they weren't really busy and we were seated right away. We ordered our drinks and a spinach artichoke dip to start because we were starving. When it came out (about a half cup of dip) it was way over cooked and half of it was baked to the side of the dish and it was being served with the most pitiful excuse of tortilla chips I think I've ever seen and straight out of the bottom of the bag. So of course I'm not gonna pay seven bucks for this junk and we sent it back (the other server that took it back for us said she never would've served it in the first place it was so over done). We asked for meatballs instead. Well at this point our pizza was already done and it came out before the meatballs. We ordered the version that hs everything. The name escapes me now but pepperoni, Italian sausage, peppers nd onions. I asked about the sauce beforehand because I like a lot of sauce and we ordered extra for this reason. The pizza itself was pretty good but I don't think we got the extra sauce and if we did I would want double extra sauce in the future. The meatballs were good but I probably wouldn't order them again. They are a little overpriced and didn't knock our socks off! So as we are eating the pizza (and freshly arrived balls) this lady come to our table and says "what seems to be the problem" and at this point there was no problem because our balls had arrived and we were eating. We told her nothing the servers had taken care of it but I did explain about the tiny portion of over cooked dip and how crazy I thought it was they served it with tortilla chips and she explained that their 1000 degree oven didn't allow them to bake bread to go with the dip to which I'm thinking "1. how much does a loaf of bread cost? 2. Why don't you buy a bread oven? And 3. Why is the oven THAT hot?" Anyway she gave us some 10% off coupons for our next visit which I handed out to other tables. I know they are fairly new and we really do want them to succeed but she should have given us the meatballs for free or taken five bucks off our check. That would have gone a lot further in my opinion than offering me a measly two or three bucks off my "next" visit. Nice as the owner was it will be at least a month before our "next" visit and in the meantime we will probably just go up the road to Lovin Oven. Oh and we loved the decor and the place is really clean. We really hope they get the kinks worked out sooner than later! read more

My wife and I went to the Brickery for lunch. Outstanding restaurant physical design, and full bar. My wife ordered a side salad and pepperoni pizza. The salad was fine but the brown too small for the salad. The pizza was a bit greasy. I ordered a pepperoni, mushroom, sausage, pepper calzone. It was huge. A two meal serving. However, it was overlooked. The lower crust was so hard a knife would not cut it. But it tasted great! We will probably not return for a lunch but plan to try them for dinner for their mix and match pasta. We hope it will be better. read more

First time diner at The Brickery this evening after a long drive from vacation. We were quickly seated and greeted by the owner. Our waitress arrived promptly and took our drink and appetizer order. We had the garlic knots which were good as anticipated. Our pie came out hot from the brick oven and was delicious. We each ordered a 12" pie (we don't agree on toppings!) and had almost an entire pie to take home for later. Great ambiance and decor...extremely clean and fresh with plenty of TV's tuned to sports and news channels. Maybe a few service kinks to iron out but the food is well worth our repeat business. Would recommend placing red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese on the tables. Also had to ask for additional napkins. We will make the 25 mile trip the next time we crave a great pizza. read more

the pizza was very nice, me and boyfriend ordered a medium sized margarita pizza and we weren't disappointed. However, the service (especially from the host) was very disappointing. She practically turned two customers away with mentioning a very long wait time (all though the restaurant was no where near full) and a very bad attitude. We got to the Brickery right at 5:00 pm and they were not busy at all in fact we were the 3rd table to be sat 1 table had their drinks the other did not. We sat there for 21 minutes and no one ever came to our table and none of the staff was anywhere to be seen so we got up and left without ever seeing anybody that worked there! Unbelievable. We have group of friends that eat dinner together every Thursday. We are all adults (40+ to 60) and, at least once a month, Tonight, we ate at the The Brickery, in Jackson. Never again. Eight of us were there tonight. As an added bonus, we also celebrated a birthday for one of our group. We all ordered drinks and appetizers. Then we ordered dinner. Everyone's dinner came except the birthday boy's. So, the rest of us waited....and waited and waited. FInally, I left the table and found the server. He said he had made an error and did not put in that order. I asked that the meal be comp'ed and was told no problem. Approximately 15 minutes later, the missing meal was served and the owner came to our table to apologize. I said, "No worries, as long as his meal is being comped. Oh no.....she refused. Seven us of us waited over 30 minutes, with our food growing cold , for the final meal to be brought to the table. Our food was ice cold by the time the final meal came. All I could say was WOW! Tonight is graduation night for the Jackson High School Seniors!!! An absolute Black Friday of sorts for the restaurants in touch with the community here in Jackson. The great local operators must be thrilled to be able to take advantage of the approximate three thousand or so hungry thirsty folks at Red Devil Hill!! This for certain is a real opportunity to show the folks how a little foresight and planning to accommodate the masses after a beautiful graduation ceremony can cement the bonds between the good folks of Jackson and their restaurants. The above is wonderful if you were to use a little foresight sadly The Brickery must not need the good folks of Jackson to sustain their business.....my family and a few Graduating baseball seniors families went to get a table or three at 8:35 and sadly we were turned away, rebuffed, told we are no longer seating, we ran out of pizza dough? I thought surly this is not possible don't the operators know this is graduation night and they must have used just an ounce of foresight and we are being punk'd I kept waiting for the cameras to come out and say just kidding we are actually in touch with the local community and have arranged to stay open late on the Friday night to accommodate the masses!! Nope not the case this family of four who dine routinely at the Brickery are voting with our wallets and will move on. May I suggest Pasta Max in Mcdonough over the past 20 or so years we have never heard we are out of our mainstay menu items and have never been turned away 30 minutes before closing from service ! I ordered a veggie sub sandwich with onions, spinach, tomatoes, green peppers and mushrooms from The Brickery in Jackson, GA. I'm from the Chicagoland area and wanted to try this place. This was the soggiest sandwich I have ever seen. I couldn't even hold my sandwich that's how soggy it was. It's as if the bread had been soaked in water before they made my sandwich. I "ate" the "sandwich" right after it was made, so I was expecting the bread to be toasted fresh just like it is for the pizza, but this was a totally bad experience with the sandwich I ordered. The ingredients (veggies listed above) were meshed together as if they had been mashed up in a blender to make a drink and then poured onto the sandwich. I could swear the bread used for this sub was not the same bread they use for the pizza. I would definitely NOT recommend this place to any one else. Also, I ordered a potato salad on the side and received a side of pasta. I would rate a zero star review for The Brickery if I could. read more
