Easy experience purchasing from The Brick. The sales consultant named Dania was easy-going and great to deal with. We purchased a dining table and some chairs during their 'tent sale' period. Pricing was decent. We had the table delivered to one location and the chairs delivered to another. You get texts and emails and even phone calls from the delivering drivers just before they arrive. Delivery was during the assigned time period and prompt. The drivers were nice to deal with. No problems. I'll be back for more items in the near future. read more

Definitely should have read a couple reviews before I walked in. I went in knowing exactly what I wanted. A pop-up sofa bed. As soon as I walked in, a sales person approached us so I told her the item and she walked us right to it. The price was removed from the sticker so she said she'd look it up on the computer. After spending 10 mins attempting to find it, she asked for all my personal information and started a purchase page. I had no intention of buying a couch without knowing the price, but she said she couldn't get to the next page of the screen without filling out this information, and made excuses saying she had to start putting in delivery information as it would take months before they could deliver... Finally as I looked onto her screen, I saw her go to the company website and look up the price, which I could have done myself in 20 seconds... Overall, waste of 30 mins and we left without a purchase. read more

My experience with the Brick had been fine until recently I bought a queen-size storage bed. I placed the order at the end of June and the expected delivery date was in early August, so I went on holiday for the whole of July. After I returned in the beginning of August, I found a missed call from the customer service of Brick. In the meantime, I got an email notifying me that the delivery couldn't be made until they got my verbal confirmation. I hurriedly called customer service multiple times, 5 times at least, but nobody answered the phone. So I had no choice but to drive an hour to the store and do the confirmation IN PERSON. The delivery happened 2 days after what it was originally planned. Now it's been more than a month since the bed was finished, and the industrial smell of engineered wood is still present. We've tried everything to get rid of it -- opening the windows, blowing it with the AC -- but we just can't seem to get rid of the smell. For the past month, I've had my daughter, whom the bed was originally meant for, sleep in the guest bedroom because I was afraid she would get some sort of disease from inhaling that awful chemical odour. I've called customer service to report the issue, but they said that there was nothing they could do and told me to just put the bed outside in the backyard for a week. Mind you, this is a bed on the second floor and would take more than a day to disassemble by myself. I feel that they have continuously ignored the issue at hand and are not willing to take ownership of the problem. The Brick has been calling me for days now, non stop. But they aren't trying to reach me. Alas, they're trying to reach another customer who sneakily wrote my cell phone number down instead. The first time they called I was polite: "You have the wrong number." The guy was not polite back, almost as if he didn't believe me. They then continued to call me, leave messages, etc. It's not done. Maybe it'll never be done. So far all their messages do not include their own damn phone number, so clearly this place is not great when it comes to numbers. read more

We recently purchased our Bedroom set from the Brick and our Service and delivery was so good we returned to purchase a Stove. The Delivery service they provided was prompt, on time and professional. The Salesperson- Chris was professional and not pushy at all. We will return to the Brick in Markham! read more

The worst experience with this store, bought a furniture and got it to pay for 5years finance with no interest,but be careful,the salesman who helped us for preaprove creditcard made us to sign with no informing us that he checked the prime insurance to be paid, told us something went wrong with the computer sistem and we have to sign one more time. Our mistake we didn't dabble check,but nobody has the right to sell me something that I don't accept . Be careful the insurance company is The Brick,but with other name of course. And the most unprofessional thing is when you tell them "I found out that I have to pay something I didn't agree for " they will reply You sign for it . The Brick store in Markham has very bad customer service. There isn't enough staff in the store to attend to customers. The manager is extremely rude, does not have any management skills and is very aggressive when a customer makes a complaint. I had purchased furniture and appliances worth 11,782.43 $ from the store. The items included Fridge Dishwasher Gas stove Washer Dryer King size bed Dresser Night stand We also paid 20$ extra for removal of the old appliances. This included the Dishwasher, Stove, Washer and Dryer unit. When we were looking for appliances we were quite apprehensive about the removal of the old units we have and the installation of new units. We did express this concern to the sales person. Though initially he said, it would be on us to take the old units out and he will send a guy to install the new appliances. We were quite skeptical to proceed with the purchase so he went ahead and spoke to his manager and told us he has charged an additional 350 $ which would include removal of old unit and installing the new one (This was agreed for all the units that has waterline - old fridge, dishwasher, washer and dryer.). When we bought all the appliances it was agreed that the delivery date will be on 30th June 2018 for all the appliances and furnitures. Later we received a call from a contractor who was supposed to install the Dish washer and fridge line stating that he is not available on 30th June and he will do it on 2nd July 2018. We did communicate back with the sales person and he told it is given to a contractor and he will have to be available to get this work done. We agreed upon that too though it was inconvenient to us. We also got a call from Brick store on the 28th June stating that all the appliances except for the dishwasher will be delivered on the 30th and Dishwasher will be delivered on the 2nd of July which the contractor will bring. The delivery date was on 30th June 2018, and as agreed with the sales person, we did remove the old stove and cleared the path, but the dryer and the washer units were not removed as we were told it will be taken care by the delivery guys. I requested the delivery guys to see if they can remove the old units as that is what we agreed upon initially. They tried to remove but told they do not have the right tool to remove it and we need to call the office so that they can send someone else to come and fix it. They also misguided us saying the contractor who comes on Tuesday (2nd July 2018) would help us with it. They left the brand new washer and dryer on the garage, and took away the old stove. Further to this when we checked with the contractor on whether he will be doing the washer and dryer installation, he told he was paid only for the Fridge and Dish washer water line connections. He did come and fix that on Tuesday and we do not have any complaints with his service. We did follow up with the Brick's office , unfortunately the sales person with whom we interacted was not in office that day and we happen to speak with another lady who was pretty rude. She clearly kept the phone saying since the path way was not cleared, they will not send anyone else again which was absolutely contradicting to what we initially agreed upon. We did contact the sales person and he said he will talk to the office and let us know what he can do about it but he has not got back to us so far, today being the 6th July 2018. Bought a dishwasher here last week and it was such a disastrous experience from start to finish. This appliance is for a house that I was renting out and when we bought it the sales guy told us it would be ready for pick up on Friday 12 pm,which is perfect because the renters were moving in on Saturday. I decided to pick it up myself since I was already going to be renting a uhaul to move some furniture out and since the delivery was to Newmarket it would've been $140 delivery fee. Came in Friday at 1pm and was told it wouldn't be ready for pickup until 4 pm and the sales person should've told us that. I wasn't going to come back from Newmarket and then go back up in rush hour and They realized that I was clearly angry at the miscommunication Between departments. They offered to deliver it to us for free on Tuesday. I agreed, and got a confirmation that it will come between 2:30pm-5:30 pm. Since I wasn't expecting them till later in the afternoon, I was away from my phone all morning. Return to it with 3 missed calls, didn't even leave a message. Called them back and they wanted to come earlier, told them earliest I can do is1:45. They said they'll call back. I call the renter letting her know that the delivery will come earlier than expected and she tells me they just delivered it and left. THEY DELIVERED AT 1PM WITHOUT MY CONFIRMATION. What if no one was at home would they leave it on the lawn?!? Even caught the renter off guard as she was expecting them during that time frame. As the purchaser of this item I expect to be there during delivery. They didn't even unpack it from the box like my previous deliveries from the brick. Just left it in the middle of the kitchen. This experience is very infuriating and the type of delivery service I received was very unprofessional. They didn't even call for a survey like how they usually do probably because they knew I would give a bad review. Sent the brick an email about the service I received to hopefully they will contact me back. read more

Not a good experience, purchased a special order sectional... or so we thought until 5 weeks later we found out it was discontinued and no one could or would try to explain or contact the vendor to find out if we would still receive. They do not stand by their own products. Boxspring and bed purchased for my 2nd child, boxspring broke in less than a week. Management not only brushed me off but wouldn't call me back when they said they would. I know how to treat a boxspring...I've never had this happen. Shady shady place...shop elsewhere. read more

Absolutely disgusted by the customer service team at The Brick in Markham. I tried calling them hundreds of times today from work and cell, no answer. No voice mail either. I finally decided to block my # and try one last time, poof! They answer the phone! They have been ignoring my calls all day, will not let me speak typo a supervisor or manager, so I'm being forced to go out of my way to the store tonight to speak with someone about our orders. I went to the brick to look at dishwashers. I was approached by an employee who made a deal with me and my wife for an LG dishwasher. This same dishwasher was almost $150 more at all the other stores so I was quite happy. I was told at the time of purchase that there were 8 dishwashers in stock and the I could expect delivery on Wednesday (5 days after purchase). This was confirmed when I went to customer service who again confirmed that shipping would be Wednesday and that someone would call between 8 am and 11 am to ask if I was home. Wednesday morning and afternoon passed. I had a technician which I called at 1pm. Since no dishwasher came he wasnt able to set it up. I ended up loosing $50 for his service fee. When I went back to the brick to find out what happened they said that it was due to deliver a month later and that they had never told me it would deliver Wednesday. They said that the item had been out of stock for a while and a new shipment was due in a month. After asking to see the manager the customer service rep. made a few calls and out of thin air found a unit that could be shipped Saturday. The manager came around and showed me the bill of sale which had nothing filled out under delivery date. The manager then proceeded to blame us for not checking this and said that the protocol is to make a confirmation of delivery call 3 days before delivery. The customer service rep. then corrected him and said it was 5 days before delivery (which was when we bought the product). We spent over an hour at the store during which we simply asked for $50 for the technician fees that we incurred. Again the manager blamed us and said he could do nothing but apologize. With such a big name like The Brick you would expect the best customer service but this was a very bad experience for me an my wife. We have gone to other brick locations and had a much better experience. Just dont go to this location!! read more
