The store clerk told me it was the initial degassing and should go away within a week or so. While the smell is not a horrid as when the mattress first arrived, there is still a pungent smell. I cannot sleep in that bed. The store has a no return policy unlike most of its more reputable competitors. The manufacturer Simmons: Beautyrest has not responded to my complaint. I shall be purchasing a new organic mattress. My advice, stay a mile away from this store.

The second reason for the 5 stars rating is the selection. There are 3 models of twin mattress in the showroom. All of them are within my budget of $200. The nicest one costs $200, and it looks like something that would cost more somewhere else. I went to another mattress stores before I came to Springmade. There was only one mattress on sale under $200. One note to people interested in buying a mattress at Springmade: all the prices are HST inclusive, and you can pay by major credit cards. I checked out the site and some reviews and orders the level up from their base model. It came in around $500 delivered! They do make a third level that people rave about, but I didn't think it was necessary for my guests who typically only stay a night or 2, totaling 10-15 nights a year. Delivery was fast and efficient. Their delivery guys were friendly and clean. If you need a mattress for your own room, get the top of the line. (Still cheaper than most other brands).
