I hate doing negative reviews- so I usually don't... I love giving great reviews- and this is one of them. Stopping on the Santee exit off 95 can be dicey. The Breakfast Nook gets it right. It's a down home place, kitschy with simple furnishings and friendly staff. Everything is clean even if it isn't fancy... charm it has! We ordered a burger with fries and a breakfast sandwich. Fresh bread, fresh made Patty, fresh made onion rings... none of it was frozen. The price was super reasonable and the service was super fast and friendly. This is simple fare but made with care.

Hidden Treasure!... delightful... seriously great food. Love the charming ambiance I definitely recommend for the whole family ! Chris is an awesome host. The menu is full of great choices. The French toast was superb... it was light and sweet & tasty. The bbq quesadilla was unique & flavorful. The corned beef hash was cooked just right. And the classic cheeseburger was excellent. The décor added to the quaint feeling of coming home. We will come again for sure!

We stopped here for breakfast on our way to Myrtle Beach. This is the cute little place that serves good food with good service - the reason you look for places on yelp that are family owned and not the chains you can eat at anywhere. My wife had the mini breakfast with egg's over easy and I had the mini hash breakfast with poached eggs soft - everything was cooked perfectly. BTW - they are now open till 8:00pm so you can enjoy them all day.

Don't let the outside fool you! This place is a gem! Cozy & Delicious with friendly staff (thanks Kelly!). The breakfast was perfect. I had the big grits breakfast plate with perfect over medium eggs (so hard to find!!). They surprised my 6 year old daughter with an awesome Mickey Mouse pancake that was fluffy, golden, and perfect. Sausage patty was good, bacon was cooked perfectly, crispy but not over cooked, one of us had the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and the biscuit was fluffy and golden. Everything was great and prices were too. Thank you so much for just the meal we needed on our drive to Williamsburg.

Great prices, decent service. Cute little diner with a homey feel! You can get breakfast, lunch whatever (both) and they have great kids prices as well! Loved it :)

It was so bad. I know they are moving locations so maybe that will help somehow. Don't know where to start. It was just that bad!

I did not ask for bacon , they put a ton of bacon on it. I picked it off . I hope I wasn't charged for that. It was a $25 lunch. It was a big burger & lots of fries. I had the other half the next day. o would recommend this place. The entire menu looked amazing . the service was very good . I called it in & it was ready in 10 minutes.

I ordered the turkey which included stuffing two sides, salad or coleslaw and dessert. I even had leftovers . Here are the pros and cons would definitely go back. First, the coleslaw was fantastic. The turkey was with juicy, but could've used a little more seasoning, but overall very good. I chose the sweet potato casserole, which didn't have any marshmallows and the pineapple casserole which I had never heard of before instead of bringing the pineapple casserole. He brought me mashed potatoes instead, which were fantastic. He did bring the pineapple casserole which was just very strange. I chose the berry crisp for dessert which seem like it was just pie filling with a crumble on the top. After my meal came, I realized I did not get any rolls or bread when I asked they had cornbread . Was just curious to why I wasn't asked if I wanted a cornbread with my meal. I also noticed that the website menu was a little bit different than the one at the restaurant. The website indicated soup which was available, and there were a lot more sides indicated on the website.

Justin was our server and he actually greeted us outside. We did not wait more than 2 minutes before someone greeted us at the host stand and actually apologized for making us wait! As we were walking to our table, we noticed the fireplace going and it had real wood! It was so cozy! Justin approached us not long after and offered us to order drinks. We ordered waters, wine, and beer. So the last time we dined at Cracker Barrel was almost 11 years ago because we became deathly ill. The last time, I do not believe they served alcohol so we were surprised seeing it on the menu. Our drinks were delivered quickly and Justin offered us to order dinner. Hubs ordered the Country Fried Turkey with mac and cheese and hashbrown casserole. I ordered the Country Vegetable Plate with green beans, coleslaw, mashed potatoes, and hashbrown casserole. Justin came back later and informed us there was only enough hashbrown casserole for one of us so he said I could order a side salad for no extra charge-sweet! Our food arrived not too long after and the salad was massive! Very fresh too! The Hashbrown casserole was good, everything else was okay but not magnificent. When we went to checkout, there were people taking way too long while their f'in kids were causing havoc in the store so we paid by using the QR code on the receipt. Our check was $45, which was pretty decent for 2 meals, 2 beers, and 1 wine. Oh but there were charges for getting apple butter and having a mix of biscuits and cornbread- was not aware of that when ordering. The bathroom was as clean as it could be but definitely needs to be upgraded. Best part of all, we did not get sick! We will be back if we are in the area again.
