What an epic effing find after a long hike! If you're a bread lover, this place is a must-visit. As we neared the end of the trail, we could literally smell the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bread, drawing us in like a magnet--thankfully, it was far more inviting than the scent of the porta potties that was next door (hahaa, you've been warned)! Once inside, we were greeted by a delightful spread of everything you could imagine. There's wine, beer, syrups, jams, and an impressive selection of pastries, but the bread?! It's like stepping into a bread lover's dream. There are so many different options! Whether you're into savory or sweet, this bakery has something that'll make your taste buds sing. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area--just go the long route of the trail and follow your nose!

Walking down the Trolley Trail I exclaimed "That was a damn good muffin!" So friends, head to Ellicott City - get yourself on the Trolley Trail and walk to the Breadery for treats! Actually, probably just drive and use their parking lot so you can fill up on all the things. This place was adorable and has such a selection! Baked goods, breads, olive oils, cheese, wine, and beer are all available in their small store. The pumpkin pecan muffin was amazing - my only regret is not buying 6. The dinner rolls we bought a dozen of are also delicious. 5 stars - we will be back!

Cute little place to have coffee and a baked good! It is right next to the trolley trail so I love stopping by this place to get a drink and a snack before hand. There isn't all that much parking so going at odd times would be easiest when it comes to parking.

Love the Breadery. Always stocked with fantastic options to choose from. Their pastries are flaky and delicious and always have great flavor. The Breadery has everything from beer and wine to olive oil to an large assortment of breads. My favorites include the herb bread loaf, the tomato basil bake and any of their sweet options. Tip - get there early because they do sell out of their popular items.

(Partially eaten, sorry!) Raspberry and Chocolate Chunk Muffin. Notice the large pockets of both chocolate and raspberries.

COVID-era review: this weekend we hiked up the Trolley Trail with masks on (definitely required because you won't be able to maintain at least 6 feet from other parties at all times). We planned to stop at The Breadery to grab takeout for breakfast. It was the first weekend with more relaxed restrictions, so the Breadery was open for walk-ins. 5 customers in the store is the limit. They are still taking online orders for pickup too. The Breadery has a variety of breads and other baked goods (namely muffins and croissants) daily. They also offer other items (wine, oil, coffee), which I will have to try another time. I was impressed by the less-conventional, more exciting selection of muffins, which included: pumpkin pecan (seasonal), raspberry chocolate chunk, and pineapple coconut. I opted for a raspberry chocolate chunk muffin. The muffin had a very good distribution of large chunks of both raspberries and chocolate. I had eaten most of it before I remembered to take the picture, so it's mostly just to show the distribution. The muffin was slightly too dry and crumbly for my taste, but the flavors helped make up for it. Our family has gotten pumpkin bread (both with and without pecans) from them for a few years now. I have yet to try their other bread selections, for which I have heard positive feedback. Also please note that they do NOT offer fancier coffee beverages like lattes or cappuccinos. Why 4 stars? I won't go out of my way to go back whenever I am in town, but I know I can could count on them for a solid fare of bread and muffins if desired! They were very busy even with the 5 customer restriction, but their service was fast and polite.

Very cool place. Quaint, old fashion, with an interesting selection of products beyond bread and baked goods.

**Charlsie's Bakehouse - Catonsville, MD**…read more So curiosity got the best of me this morning and I popped into the new bake shop in downtown Catonsville--**Charlsie's Bakehouse**. Let me just say: this place is *cool.* Like, 1950s corner-bakery-in-Baltimore cool. From the moment you step inside, you feel like you've time-traveled into something special. I wasn't sure what to expect, but was pumped to see breakfast sandwiches on the menu. I went with the **"Do You Kiss Your Mother With That Mouth"** ($7.50), and without exaggeration--it was **BY FAR** the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The biscuit? Light and flaky. The sausage? Grilled to perfection. The egg? Right at that sweet spot--done but still runny. Absolute harmony. And if the sandwich was *that* good, you better believe I'll be back for dessert. The key lime pie, hand pies, and donuts all looked dangerous in the best way. They've got seating for 20-25 inside and even Wi-Fi if you need to hang a while. Welcome to Catonsville, **Charlsie's Bakehouse**--you're already a favorite. Eat well, my friends. #wheresaaroneating #CharlsiesBakehouse #CatonsvilleEats #BestBreakfastEver

It wasn't visibly burnt so I didn't say anything, but the taste was just off. If I find myself back there I won't be going for that - but will seek out some other treats for sure!
