The space inside is modern looking and very spacious with lots of seating. I've been to the other Tous Les Jour in Ellicott City so I knew how the process worked. We got our tray, paper liner, and tongs. We checked out the pastries available before grabbing a Pistachio Cloud Cream Donut, Portuguese Egg Tart, Curry Croquette, and Mushroom Onion Cheese Pastry. At checkout, we also got a Latte and Honey Lavender Macchiato before sitting down to dine. Everything was amazing! We loved every bite of the pastries we got. Coffees were also great. We've been coming here for over a year and only had good experiences up until today. Our iced tiramisu latte had waxy unblended chunks of cream or something white in it, and we told three employees and all of them seemed unconcerned. It tasted and felt like out-of-date cream. They didn't check the cream, they said they could remake it but it would taste the same because it's made with the same stuff. The chunks are not normal and we have never seen this in any other drink we've been served before, here or otherwise. I don't know if it's lack of training or blatant disregard but I'm really put off at the total lack of concern and attitude. read more

Tous Les Jours bake shops are opening up around the area, and I went to this location to have coffee/tea with my brother. It is a South Korean franchise, and many of the baked goods reflect the Korean style. This location was right on the Pike, in a small strip shopping center with limited parking. But inside, it's very lovely. There are cases and cases of bread and baked goods, self serve style. There is also a coffee bar area where you can grab lattes, matcha, and teas, as well as a dessert/cake case. There are many tables and chairs to sit and eat, or lounge, sip, and do some work. My brother was very happy with his latte. My chai latte needed to be redone, as it was a bit cold and mild. The baristas were kind and redid it with no problem, making sure it was hot and had the correct spice content. They do have some basic pre-packaged sandwiches, but not much otherwise in the realm of actual meals. So don't come expecting to get a full entree. But the pastries and cakes looked amazing. I was really in the mood for a delicious coffee on a Sunday afternoon after a foot massage. I decided to check out this new location in my neighborhood and I am so pumped that they are here. I've been to other locations but this one being so close is really nice. Inside is pretty big and they have a great selection of sweets and savory items. I picked out a few to try and that was really hard because I wanted a little bit of everything! I especially loved how interesting their coffee menu was and all the different options they had. They also had a beautiful looking cake display that I will remember in the future! I sat down with my items and my drink and I really enjoyed the experience of just taking it easy on a Sunday afternoon. Original review for Catonsville location: Seen this bakery many times, but never had a chance to try. I was in the area for an appointment and decided to check it out. I was surprised by the size of the space bc it looked small from the outside. Very nice atmosphere, peaceful and quiet inside. The layout is organized neatly and uniform. When you enter the first thing you see (on the left) are the baked goods lined up in see through enclosed cases, great presentation. There's a large selection, so you have many options to choose from, including pastries, breads, doughnuts, pies and more. The right side of the bakery has lots of seating, you shouldn't have a problem a place to enjoy your baked treats. As you go further in, they also have a small section offering cold sandwiches, and bottled beverages. Further towards the back you can pay at the register and also order coffee/tea beverages, or smoothies. Next to the register you can also see their specially cakes. OMG, I wanted to try them all. I find it difficult to resist when it comes to pastries, cakes and all things sweet. So now of course, this is now one of my new favorite places. Anyway, I ended up starting off with a chicken salad sandwich, it was delicious. I ate it so fast bc I was famished and forgot to take pictures. I also got an iced early grey cloud tea, very tasty. I felt satisfied and happy after eating. Moving on, I decided to get a few pastries to go. I got the Portuguese egg tart, caramel almond pastry, and a pain aux raisin. All of these were excellent quality and tasted great, flaky and fresh and everything you look for in good pastry. Service was also pretty good, staff was attentive and friendly. After trying to grab donuts right down the street and it being closed, I remembered Tous Les Jours was not too far. We went in and almost jumped for joy because our sweet cravings were going to be pleased with all the choices. They have a multitude of treats from cookies, macarons, cake and brownies. I decided upon a mango sponge cake from the case since it was actually already enclosed in packaging and I didn't like how some of the other desserts in the display case, were open and a thin piece of plastic was wrapped around it for the staff to grab it from the case to serve. We both wished we had selected a different dessert after getting home and digging in. There was much left to be desired. The flavors weren't very strong and my mango cake was somewhat dry. Visited Tous Les Jours on a Friday morning and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't too crowded. I was able to grab a table without any trouble. There's an impressive selection of pastries, and everything we ordered tasted fresh and delicious. I also tried both a hot and an iced caramel macchiato, and they were really good. Cute little bakery right here on Rt. 40. While out running errands I saw Tous Les Jours out the corner of my eye. It's in a weird yet effective location. Situated next to a chiropractor and a vision works, on the side of 40 west where other businesses have t been in a long time. But it works because I was able to see it while driving and they have parking. They have an open floor plan with plenty of seating. You can choose from a community table, couch seating or 2 & 4 top tables. The selection of pastries is kinda crazy. When you first walk it, there's a wrap around pastry case. You grab a tray a tongs and pick what you like. Near the register you have an enclosed pastry case that has cakes, macarons and cake slices. They also have a nice variety of lattes and teas. I ordered the Gingerbread Latte with oat milk (extra .95), the Chocolate Pretzel, the Pink & Green Cloud cake, and the Strawberry Cream Cloud cake to go for my son. The name is French however this is an Asian bakery with so many cute Hello Kitty cakes, Matcha desserts and other Asian inspired treats. They also have a savory selection and some of those are in a heated case. You can also get your pastries heated up. Everything I tried was really good. The pretzel was perfectly flaky with the right amount of chocolate and nuts. The cakes are a dream. So light, airy and flavorful. The coffee was really good. I wish the flavor was stronger as it didn't stand up to the pretzels flavor... but that's just me. The staff here are lovely. They also sell fresh bread. The tables aren't as cluttered and there are different types of seating (standard table vs coffee table with more comfy chairs). Service didn't take long as usual. The pastry selection did look smaller than the usual location I go to. HOWEVER, the pastries were equally as good. I called ahead to order a cake for my dad's birthday for pickup and they were so helpful in taking my order and making it easy to pickup at 9:30am which is earlier than their normal scheduled pickup hours. They have 2 different sizes for their mango cloud cake. I got a smaller size but it was still good for 6 adults and we had some leftover. Mangoes weren't in season so they didn't actually have mango chunks throughout the cake which I honestly didn't mind. The mango cream was light and airy and not too sweet! Awesome! Chris is the best barista ever! Skilled, Knowledgeable, Personable, Professional! The lattes that he concocts are always expertly brewed! So many customers sing his praises. Regulars prefer him because of his special ability to time steaming just perfectly and to compose the espresso so perfectly with the milk and various flavors. Tous Les Jours deserts are freshly baked, unique, and not over-sweetened! The owner, John, manages this site quite well and values his customers! Heather is another great asset! This is one of the largest stores I've been to. Plenty of options. We got a bunch of pastries and everything was delicious. Is a self serve place. You use a tray with tongs ro pick what you want. Lots of seats and you can see the bakery itself in the back. Staff was friendly and helpful. It's almost easy to miss because it's in a corner of a shared lot. This cafe is much bigger and more spacious than the tiny one in Ellicott City. It also has many items that I don't see in EC- like more varieties of donuts (mango, matcha flavors in addition to the chocolate and vanilla), a few cake flavors which are new to me, and they have buttercream bread which I intend on trying, and croque monsieur. I don't know where you can get croque monsieur for $4.50, so I went for it, and this berry croissant. Both came out to $8.50 or so which is an incredible price for a meal and dessert. I will definitely be back to try other things, although I don't think I will go for the croquettes since they are sitting out in the regular casing rather than the hot ovens. The items in the hot oven look legit so I'll try those next time too. read more
