We were renting an Airbnb nearby and the house had two bikes for us to use. As we were a group of six we only rented four bikes from Ideal. However during our bike ride wine tour one of the Airbnb bikes broke and we called Ed to see if he could help us. He closed the shop and drove out to us with a replacement bike and took the bike which he didn't own back for us. This is really customer service and we were amazed at how awesome his customer service was. I highly recommend using Ideal bike shop for your bike rental needs while in PEC.

A day later I got a call to pick it up and discovered that the tire was not only repaired, but they had done some other adjustments and tuning as well. The customer service at this bike rental shop was absolutely nothing short of amazing. They were all so friendly, helpful and very funny. It cost us $60 per bike for a 2 day rental and the rental included 5 helmets and 2 locks at no extra cost. They also gave us all free water bottles that we could keep! There was a pretty large selection of bikes which was great so we got to pick which ones were the most comfortable. The woman working there was very helpful in planning out the recommended routes based on the quality of the roads and how busy they were. All of her suggestions were incredibly helpful. Although she said she has never been to any of the winery's she recommended a few that weren't on our list based on what her customers tell them. They also offer a service wheee they will come pick you up if you get too drunk to bike all the way back! If you're ever in the area, this is definitely the place to rent your bikes.

The next day I went in to pick it up, and Derek wasn't there. The lady upped the price by a large margin, and said she's the boss, what she says goes.. Excuse me? Nice customer service. Bit by bit as things broke or wore out I brought my bike into Frontenac Cycle for repairs. All parts that were replacing the worn out original parts were a definite upgrade in quality. As of this review my pedals, sealed cartridge bearings, freewheel, handle bars, ergo grips and thumb shifters have all been upgraded and the cost did not break the bank. I have been very impressed with the professional knowledgeable staff and hope to have a long enjoyable cycling relationship with Frontenac Cycle. It's nice to know these days where you can go for great service at a very good price . p.s. my bike now is nothing like it was when I bought it new,it is so much better.

The guy that dealt with me was really friendly, and assured me that they'd have things tuned up and ready to get back on the road by the next afternoon. Excellent. When I arrived back to pick it up, they almost let me leave without paying, which was a funny moment, but after things were settled up, I was able to see that they did a great job servicing my ride. I'll be coming back in future for sure. There is also a good selection of gear and accessories, so if you are looking for fenders, racks, gloves, locks, or lights, they likely have something to meet your needs.

The owner recommended for us to visit Norman Hardie for wine and pizza and it was a great recommendation. The owner was super nice and friendly.
