En route to Two Brewers I accidentally stumbled onto Marlow's charming main streets. Filled with…read moreshops and pubs and award-winning restaurants, it was hard not to scrap my original plans. I left the main street though, making my way towards Two Brewers, comfortable with the idea that if it wasn't what I wanted, I'd just return to the hub of town. Then I made my way down a quiet street, past an old cemetery in an even older churchyard. I continued on, noticing the little lights that stood outside buildings older than my last few generations of ancestors. Two Brewers stood at the end of this road, announcing itself as "the oldest pub in Marlow". With its comically low ceiling in parts I can only assume that past generations were Lilliputian. I wore it like a badge of pride. When in Marlow, take the time to seek out Two Brewers. It's a bit off the beaten path but you can be back to that path in minutes. I doubt though that you'll have any reason to do so.
