I…read morewas in the market for a nice black leather belt - I did not find it because all the belts are woven out of 550 cord (hence the name Fivefifty). If you are unaware, 550 cord is the cord that is used (primarily as far as I'm aware) in parachutes. It is lightweight, rugged and has a very high tensile strength making it a favorite of survivalists. The woven belts are the only kind of belts there (of various colors). There are also a few other items like bracelets and purses/bags but if you're looking for leather go elsewhere. The belts cost $42 a piece - I think this is rather high. 550 is cheap ($55 for 1000 feet on amazon) and I'm not sure but I assume the weaving is mechanized. However, it is a local business which is a great thing to support so if nothing else swing in to give them the courtesy of a look around.
