They even have a large discounted book area towards the back of the store where you can easily find some gems from even $1.50. I've gotten a copy of The Secret History for only $4 in wonderful condition And hardback from that bookcase. There are plenty of places for you to take a seat and relax, try out your new potential book or wait for others in your party to shop. If you want/need information or have questions they are more than happy to help and love to have conversations about books with you. I love the creak of the floorboards while walking around and it is always a comfortable, cool temperature. There is also a selection of fun smaller items in store to purchase like posters, puzzles, DVDs, VHS tapes, postcards, and trinkets. They also hold events like a book club, workshop events like embroidery, and host authors for book discussions. A little bit of all genre. Some albums, coffee mugs, stickers, incense, just a really cool place to grab a book, read, walk around and look at all the little things. Owner is wicked nice. The store was super inviting - lots of chairs to relax on and lots of unique books. The associate was also super nice and eager to help. I decided to take a chance with their blind date with a book. I took my littles there today to spend some of their Christmas money. The moment we walked in we were greeted by the owner and her daughter; they asked what kind of books we were looking for, what we liked to read, and helped guide us to find some books. We picked up 5, all of which I was unfamiliar with prior to visiting. We read 4 of them at bedtime and my boys loved all of the selections! The bookshop also has a little kid sitting area, some GIGANTIC bean bags, and a little play corner where my youngest immediately started to play in the play kitchen. Please go check this place out- it's so rare to have a local children's bookstore these days!

This is a wonderful secondhand bookstore inside of the Georgetown library. They have an excellent…read moresupply of books that are like brand new. They graciously offer them for whatever the person wants to pay for them. I got a wonderful book about bugs for my grandchildren, it has a original price tag on the back of $24.99. This book literally looks brand new. I gave them $10 which I think is a fair price for a secondhand book. I think it's important not to take advantage of their generosity. They also have CDs for music and books on tape and a children's section and fiction and non-Fiction. This is an excellent resource right here in our beautiful Georgetown! The ladies who work here are so kind and generous and sweet and considerate. They were very helpful. I highly recommend this store. I'm going to save this book for a Christmas gift. It is in such good condition. My grandkids are gonna love it!

Always progressive, always on the right side of history. It's definitely the center of the community. They've got an amazing collection of books including the important banned books. They host lots of events with authors, they've got book clubs, and more. It's really like a collab of like-minded folks gathering together over a shared love of literature as well as wanting to make the world a better place. It's wonderful to walk into a space like this where you're always treated like a lifelong friend or family member. If I'm in the mood for a read and not sure what I want, their recommendations are always spot on. In addition to books, they carry some really neat gift items too. Support local. I found it here, and it was such a refresher. I mean, the selection of new authors and books was right here in front of me. So I took my time with the different genres. I like how they dedicate areas to this subject and to other types of books. She also told me she can order books that are out of stock, which is great for me. I like to keep one-of-a-kind books on my bookshelves at home. They have so much worth and lessons I like to refer back to. Well, you have to be an author or writer to understand that last sentence. I made myself laugh! I saw an area for authors to speak, and we talked about the monthly events they host. They are an independent bookstore, which is high on my list because you cannot only find the best books, but also new books and authors, but also other items like accessories and more. And it goes back to the events of hearing an author read an excerpt from their book. I always say it's worth the cost and value, which isn't expensive, to experience what the independent bookstores offer.
