Lots of books, mostly organized. The selection is mostly depressing --unless you like novels. The non-fiction skews right-leaning, but not the intellectual right. It's Fox News stuff. Storefront is too small and hard to navigate. Prices are cheap and books well-maintained. It was very busy. They got odd when I asked about the bathroom and seemed rather exasperated. Meh. read more

There is a great variety of books in this small shop but it can be hit or miss depending on what you are looking for. The books are priced low considering most are very well used and at the end of their lives. The service is really what knocks it down a few stars. Every time I go in the person working the register is extremely rude and judgmental of the books I am buying from them. This last time it was an elderly couple and an event was starting out the store. They both were extremely angry to see people coming in looking to buy. They were shoving people out if they were there longer than 5 minutes. read more

This is a smaller used bookshop but that's ok. It's filled to the brim with books stacked up but for my tastes there wasn't really anything for me there. There was one author in the paranomal section that I liked but not nearly enough of her books or another author that are pretty famous there. I waited for my friend who was looking at the scifi section. I thought to look in the YA section...but there were absolutely no graphic novels or manga. It wasn't really a shop for me but that's ok. Maybe you'll find something nice here. It's located in the city square so parking might be a bit of a challenge but not impossible. read more

We found some good reads and visited with the super nice lady that owns the store, when you buy some books they let you pick one or two books from a shelf by the counter, it's like getting a prize! I was looking at a book back in the store 'cause I wasn't sure about it....lo and behold...it was on the free shelf so I took it as a sign and got it! There aren't many town squares with used book stores left and this one's a keeper! read more

I used to love going here to purchase used books and trade in my books to receive credit, but not so much any more. The right-wing rhetoric and Christian books are overwhelming when you go in, and the prices are way over-priced now. They used to have a good pricing system, but now they go to a couple of websites to pick what price to charge and the few comics that they had were dollar-bin books that they said were around $6-$8 each. Whatever they are using to price books with now, is just causing me to go to eBay, Amazon and other used bookstores instead of them. read more

When I moved to Belton 4 years ago one of the first things I looked for was a used book store. this place is the bomb! I take my used books back and get credit for them. Then I pickup a couple,of dozen more to read. The store is so well organized by genre and then alphabetical by author...a real bonus. Love this place. You won't be disappointed. read more

We visited McWha on the recommendation of a friend. They were right-it's a great used bookstore! We were so overwhelmed the first time we visited because there are SO many books. We spent an hour and didn't make it to every section. We ended up going back the next week, making sure we made the time to see everything. We bought a stack of books both of our trips. The owner is super nice and helpful. She will comb through the whole store looking for that one book for you. The pricing is simple - half of the retail price unless otherwise marked. But, if you find one without a price, just ask, and she's happy to tell you. This is a wonderful local bookstore! read more

This is probably one of the coolest book stores I've ever been in. I like how there are books all over the place. It's well organized though so you'll easily be able to find the section you're looking for. What you find in there could be anything. I've found several books there that I have a difficult time finding anywhere else. The only thing is the prices are kind of confusing. There aren't any prices listed on the books so you have no idea how much they're going to be until you get to the front to pay. If you ask how much the cost is they sort of act like it's obvious. The prices are half what it says on the books if you were to buy them at a regular book store but sometimes there aren't any retail prices on them so you still don't know how much it is. Buying the books on their own is a little pricey but if you bring in your own books that you don't want anymore you get store credit which really helps make the prices more manageable. But overall id say this place is worth the trouble. The only other thing to beware of is its not open on Mondays for some reason. Other than that this place is cool read more
