We stopped in at La Fiesta after a long day of driving from Dallas, TX on our spring break…read moreroadtrip. We were greeted by friendly staff, a really prompt waitress, and the restaurant was clean & had great background music! We are spoiled with excellent Mexican food, living in Texas, and so I think that's a necessary disclaimer before I continue. The food arrived exactly as ordered, we chose the chicken & beef combo fajitas, corn tortillas, with the rice & bean side "for two". The food came to the table sizzling hot, and smelled wonderful! It was mild in flavor, and didn't have much spice. The menu cover clearly stated the food is mild, and for additional heat they provide hot sauce. So, I food was still as-expected. My only criticism is that the veggie to meat ratio was very off. There were a TON of bell peppers & onions, and not much meat. I was only able to make 2 tacos out of the meat on the platter, and the second taco had hardly any meat, mostly veggies & I added beans & rice to the mix just to have a full taco. Overall, I'd be happy to stop in at this restaurant again, and would try a different meal! The fajitas were good, just VERY mild in taste, and there was not enough meat on the platter.

Nice, bright and fun meal. Food was good...my wife had quesabirria and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not…read morethe best she has had, but still tasty. I had the Cancun platter and it was good- Admittedly we are spoiled with a couple of fabulous Mexican restaurants we frequent, and all others seem to fall short. Service was a home run and super pleasant. Ice cream was a great finish!

The Best BBQ Ribs that I didn't have to smoke myself in YEARS!!!…read more I like GOOD BBQ... I LOVE GREAT BBQ!!! No matter whether you are a local or just traveling through, this is a GREAT place to stop! I live about 45 miles away and was traveling through when we stopped and had some BBQ... Honestly great food…read more My wife and I tried almost everything as we were on vacation and try and stop at local places. The ribs were by far the best thing if you like dry rub, good (not overwhelming smoke) and great meat quality. The sauces were not watered down and runny but a great consistency and a solid offering from your typical sweet, medium, hickory, and hot. The golden one was not any type of mustard style I've tried. We also really enjoyed the pit ham and hot links. The other meats were decent. The only meat we didn't care for was the turkey, it definitely tasted like a pre-pumped turkey with a slightly metallic / saline taste you get with pumped products. Overall great BBQ meats. The sides were a little more hit and miss. The okra is definitely something worth stopping for. It was fresh, hand battered and sprinkled with their house rub seasoning and utterly fantastic. We also really enjoyed their potato salad, if it was Sysco special you had us duped! The Mac and cheese like most joints was from a boil bag and the coleslaw though EXTREMELY fresh left a little to be desired as it hadn't marinated enough to really pack some flavor in. The staff was friendly but the young girl working the counter wasn't quite sure of the meats and how they were prepared. We were looking for bone in turkey or chicken and she didn't know. Over all really nice and the food was prepared in the open kitchen and quickly brought out! The place could use some TLC and a little degreaser as the floor was a little slick and tacky. Trash was picked up but a little after hours scrubbing and I think it would really stand out. This is a Coke products restaurant so Pepsi people don't bother stopping LOL. Our next time thru McPherson we will be stopping.
