Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad (grilled) with side of cottage cheese
    Shannon A.

If you don't have Braum's in your area, you definitely need to hit one up in the Midwest! Hands down some of my favorite ice cream! You can order off the menu or buy containers in their grocery section. I highly recommend the Peppermint or Cappuccino Chocolate Chunk. During the holiday season, try the gingerbread! And a fun summer flavor...cherry limeade! As for food, you can get anything from bags of burgers for around $6 to a strawberry poppyseed salad for around $8. Salads come with a side of cottage cheese (the BEST cottage cheese ever!). Today I went through the drive thru and service was quick and the staff was friendly!

I'll just have the Reuben sandwich, thank you.) Actually, I didn't end up getting the Reuben, although someone in my party did and it looked amazing. I got the BLT sandwich, and it had some of the best, crispiest bacon I've had in a while. Also piled on my sandwich was fresh bibb lettuce, tomatoes and mayo, all on toasted white bread. If you want a great BLT, you'll find one at City Sundries. They were super busy when we visited, and I was super hungry and bummed because I thought I might have to wait a long time to get my food, but the lone lady working behind the counter was whipping around taking orders and making food as fast as she could, and she did a great job. I didn't have to wait long at all for my food despite how busy they were. Two interesting things about City Sundries. One, there's a room upstairs with lots of games, a pool table, foosball, an old-school arcade game and couches to sit on and hang out. And two, this place is also a store with lots of gifts to purchase. (I guess that's where the "sundries" part of the name comes in.)

She visited with us, told us of local landmarks to visit, etc. We compared notes on 20 something daughters. She had 2, us 1. I would highly recommend this sweet store. Ice cream was delightful, as well as the owner. We saw that she serves lunch too. We enjoyed looking at her store, as well as visiting. Go there, you won't be disappointed. Loving submitted, Charles and Kathy Ford, Olathe, KS.

We wandered into the shop, and the first thing that struck me was the delicious smell. They make their own waffle cones here, as well as stroopwafels and sundae bowls. I got a kid-sized scoop of banana cream pie ice cream. Like I said, I don't like ice cream, but I love banana cream pie, so if you put it in ice cream, I will order it and love it. The banana cream pie ice cream at Indigo Moo'd is amazing. My only regret is that I wish I would have ordered a bigger size. They have a lot of the classic flavors, but also flavors like salted caramel, kringler, lingonberry, coffee and others. All of the ice cream is made in-house, and you can tell because it's fresh and creamy. The ice cream parlor itself is located in a cute space that looks like the outside of a town square (but it's indoors), if that makes sense. There are several tables in the shop, so you can stay a while and enjoy your ice cream there. My friends and I got our ice cream to go and ate it while waking around downtown Lindsborg.

It was later in the day, probably around 3pm, and I was a bit disappointed as they were out of most of their flavors. I think there were only a few options left, but what we sampled was all good and my three year old enjoyed it, which lets face it is probably the most important thing at any ice cream shop - that the kiddos have a good time. All in all it's a fairly standard ice cream joint, the flavors are on point, and the service is kind. If you want to try everything they have to offer I'd recommend getting in earlier in the day!

We were meeting our family here and despite having a huge group we were promptly seated. The interior of this place feels very small town Kansas, but that's not a bad thing, it just has a homey, casual vibe to it. Our server was incredible. If it was just a review on her hospitality I'd give this place a million stars. Part of the issue, well actually the biggest issue was that she was the only person working in the whole building. Despite being open and having a few tables with folks seated, there was only one person in the whole building and she was the server, the hostess, and the chef. So, we all ordered, all different brunch items, she apologized in advance for how long it might be and then she went back to make our meals. It took probably 45 minutes to get food to come out and it was pretty good overall. I won't say it was incredible or the best omelette I'd ever had, but it held up to other brunch spots and I enjoyed my meal. The main issue was how long it took, and the lack of help the staff had. When we were about halfway through our meal two more folks arrived, one was a very young man who worked to bus the tables etc. and the other was a man who appeared to perhaps be the owner? What really rubbed me the wrong way was how hard the woman in the back was hustling to get food out and how he just walked around and chit chatted with folks, when there were clear issues that morning getting food out the door. It just left me with a poor taste in my mouth regarding how employees and customer satisfaction is valued at this place. Overall though the food was pretty good, and I love supporting local places when we visit Lindsborg. I'm sure we will be back next time we're in town and I hope I have a better experience!
