Came into town to visit my dad and decided to check out this cute coffee and pastry shop. I'm definitely a matcha snob, and after seeing some promising Yelp reviews, I was excited to try it. The kid at the front was friendly, and the place had a lively vibe with groups of kids and other customers. I ordered an iced vanilla matcha and a cranberry white chocolate scone. The scone was warm and delicious... honestly the highlight of my visit. Unfortunately, the matcha was a letdown. It tasted mostly like milk with barely any matcha flavor at all. For a matcha lover, it just wasn't matcha-ing. You could even tell by the color that it was weak. Such a disappointment, especially after the good reviews. read more

I came to McPherson this past weekend since Eric R. planned to do the Storm the Castle bike race. We spent the night Friday at a hotel, and he left early for the race on Saturday morning. I looked for local coffee shops and noticed that Craft has matcha, so off I went downtown! The atmosphere is really nice, though I felt like I was making a lot of squeaky noises as I walked inside. There were also tables outside and it was cool enough in the morning to sit, but there were several groups there so I stayed inside. I ordered a 16 oz iced matcha latte with almond milk and chatted with the cashier about it being my first day in McPherson. She was very friendly. I sat down at a table and watched the Tour de France on my phone while enjoying my matcha, watching many people come and go, happily enjoying their beverages. This place is a gem! Quality coffee, modern design atmosphere, and kind staff. I loved my single origin coffee and the granola was very tasty. Here's the only downside, no adult rear can actually fit in their seats, so order to go or pack a pillow. read more

Every town has a refuge for hipsters looking for high-priced artisanal coffee. MacPherson's entry is better than most. I very much enjoyed the fruit granola thingy for breakfast and my cafe latte was just fine. I am from Pennsylvania and was staying in McPherson for 2 weeks for work. I came the craft coffee at least 6 times. I got the acai bowl and parlor Cubano. EVERYtime I ate there I had to pause after the first bite/sip because of the sheer joy it gave me. Always fresh, whole food based bowls eith top quality ingredients. The coffee brand is a premium quality, no gimmicks. Also, the rich, deep flavor of the parlor Cubano packed a titillating punch that overwhelmed my tastes buds in the most pleasant way. I would absolutely recommend but if you're a plain jane kind of person you may be a little taken aback. If you tend to be more adventurous and appreciate strong, robust flavors... this is the spot! read more

Decent coffee. I think it's worth going to if you live there / aren't in a hurry. If you're just passing through and need to be quick, maybe consider choosing somewhere else! It took about twenty minutes for a latte which is fine if we were sitting down to chat, but not so much when we have an eight hour drive. That's our own mistake, though! Excellent coffee I mean just beyond excellent! So smooth and a very cool atmosphere... If you're into knitting definitely the place to come according to a group of elderly ladies in here at the time. Best chocolate chip cookie I've ever eaten The spiced apple cider was incredible... would it be weird to say it had an amazing mouthfeel? Well, it did. It was almost "thick" but definitely not in an unappetizing way -- hearty, I guess I should call it. It was topped with cinnamon which only made it better. The dark brew drip coffee wasn't my favorite blend, but it was good. I tried the John Brown. It had nutty undertones. I'd love to try something else, especially an espresso. I visited just minutes after they'd opened for the day and they were having trouble with the card reader, but the employees were apologetic so I didn't mind the delay. I especially didn't mind it after tasting the product. I'm only in McPherson on Sundays, so it looks like this will be a regular Sunday stop for me. It's probably a good thing that I'm only in town once a week... I don't need the temptation of that many cookies. read more

Great local coffee. Worth the drive off he freeway if you're on I 135. We make it a point to frequent local independent coffee places & this is a good one in central KS. Not many flavors for lattes but a good coffee doesn't need to hide under sweet flavors. After numerous visits, still a good coffee with few flavor choices, but if you're in a hurry, this is not the place to go. We've had to wait more than 20 minutes each of our last 3 visits. read more

When I first moved to McPherson the coffee scene left a lot to be desired. Then Craft came along and it's the only place I go. They really know how to take the time and make a perfect cup of coffee. I highly recommend stopping in and trying a pour over. You'll be hooked. And they serve really good breakfast now. Definitely stop in. read more

This coffee shop is hands down the best coffee I have ever had. The staff makes the experience all the more better! Craft is community oriented, kind, and above all they make fantastic drinks, scones, and cookies. They always do their best to please their customers and also they support local artists! They are constantly holding open mics and hanging up artist's work on their walls. Craft is a great place for a time to relax,study, go on a date, or even to get your coffee to go. My band and I were playing at the college ave stopped here for some coffee. Being Bostonian and District coffee snobs, the espresso drinks more than satisfied our palettes.
