Arrived Saturday just before noon. No customers and 2 employees in kitchen. Sat down and waited nearly ten minutes and no one emerged to greet us or take our order. Grandson went to the restroom hoping they would see us. Then I went up to the counter and stood for almost 5 minutes and no came out. After nearly twenty minutes left disappointed. Such a shame Not the Burger Den I remembered all those years and the hospitality the previous owners showed their customers.

We ordered a specially sauced wings dish (I can't remember the exact name), a classic burger, and onion rings. My son loved the burger, while my husband and I absolutely loved the jumbo wings and what were honestly the best onion rings we've ever had. Before we ordered, the server mentioned that the chefs really know what they're doing--and we 100% agreed after eating. The food was amazing, but what really stood out was the atmosphere. It felt like a place full of regulars, with a very warm and welcoming vibe. The staff seemed genuinely relaxed and happy, and there was a lot of friendly interaction and joking between employees and customers, which I really loved. We had such a great experience that it looks like I'll be signing my son up for more classes :))

There are oars, caps, scarves, golf banners, a bowling pin and even an empty golf bag suspended from the ceiling. Its management bills the place as "Upstate New York's #1 British Pub." One reviewer called it, "weird." I think "eccentric" and fun might be more appropriate. The food and drink are great. I ordered Samuel Smith's Chocolate Stout and Grilled Cheese and Tomato Sandwich. Both were delicious. My friend and I were in the Hoosick Falls area to do some leaf peeping. We pulled over to get something to eat before noon but the pub was already packed. We were lucky to get seats at the bar. The bartender took our order. He was very nice. We watched as he made a remarkable looking Bloody Mary for another customer. The customers say the Bloody Marys are a pub favorite. Another pub favorite is the French Onion Soup which I did order. It was very cheesy and flavorful. I look forward to coming back to this unusual pub. The patrons are mostly local and regulars. They're friendly. It was fun.

The buffalo calamari was cooked perfectly, piled up, and topped with blue cheese crumbles and green onion. Don't even get us started on the boneless wings... also, the ranch and blue cheese dip were out of this world. Guess what? HOME MADE. We came here to watch a Sabres game, since we heard there were a ton of TVs to watch the games. And we ended up being surprised with a fantastic dinner and great service. What a great night.

Two of us had the fish and chips with the house special tater tots. The fish was OK, although nothing special. The tater tots were actually a disappointment. They were powdery and dry on the inside and had an unpleasant texture in general. The other two guests ordered the BLT sandwich and the chicken pesto sandwich. No big complaints, but no big compliments either. All in all, a swing and a miss and we probably won't return given the other great choices in Saratoga Springs.
