75th anniversary in full swing and worth celebrating !…read more They offered 30 minute city Seaplane tours for $75 this weekend, so we brought our kiddo to celebrate her 6th birthday. She was all smiles and still talking about all the sites she saw on her very first flight (UW, Space Needle, Puget Sound). "Everyone gets a window seat on one of their beautifully restored de Havilland Beaver or Otter Seaplanes for a birds-eye view of the Emerald City, University of Washington, Shilshole Bay, and Discovery Point." The pilot, Quinn, went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. He took photos for our family, and even let our kiddo sit in the cockpit after landing. The maintenance crew was also willing to answer any questions and were full of smiles. It was truly nice to see people who enjoy their jobs/careers. In the lobby you'll find awesome coasters, teeshirts, beautiful coffee mugs, hats, and even a toy seaplane that our kiddo had to have. I love that everyone was required to wear a mask, especially since our kid is unvaccinated. Hubby and I look forward to catching another flight in the near future! Thank you for an unforgettable experience during such uncertain times.

Cruises offer much more than just relaxation on the open sea. They provide an all-in-one vacation…read moreexperience with world-class entertainment, diverse dining options, and the chance to explore multiple destinations--all at an incredible value. Some of us were first-time cruisers, and the others had experience on other cruise lines. My partner, his family, our friends and I had decided on a 7-day Alaskan Cruise on the Norwegian Bliss departing from Seattle with stops in Sitka, Juneau, Icy Strait Point, Ketchikan, and Victoria, BC (to comply with a 100-year-old law) from 8pm to midnight. We had balcony rooms on Deck 10. We were blessed to have good weather with some sunshine sans rain. The Norwegian Bliss is the biggest ship we have ever sailed on. There was no chance to be bored on this massive 20-story liner. From the swimming pools, water slides, impressive go-kart track, and numerous activities to the varied, as well as many, food and beverage outlets scattered all over the ship. We enjoyed the entertainment of Brent and Sarah's magic show, the comedy show of Chris Bower with Clint Jackson, and Trina Johnson. There were so many people on board, as it's peak season. I also had an opportunity to reconnect with an ex-coworker from the travel agency after close to 30 years. Our steward, Edwin, introduced himself on the first day and took care of us and the cabin. The staff overall was consistently cheerful, friendly, and helpful, especially our greeter, Cherry, at the buffet. The port stops were well worth the trip on the Inside Passage. My only critique was the Ketchikan dock. One's docked 7 miles from town, and that puts a time crunch on the excursions. One needs to factor in 30 mins each way of shuttle transportation. However, the Ketchikan port shopping terminal is massive, and wait until this port to shop. Overall we had a wonderful, memorable experience.

It's so beautiful here that you can actually see the high rise buildings and modern downtown Seattle views. Good architecture. Amazing. Perfect for photography too. Not all cruise terminals in the U.S. have great views that stands out. Seattle needs to protect these important terminals and landmarks. Lines move fast and there's plenty of helpful staffers to assist down the stairs before terminal entrance. Employees are friendly and welcoming. There's also services for luggage storage with an extra fee, in case you want to leave your bags and roam around for hours. Coffee shops and restaurants are main attractions in downtown Seattle which have some of the best dining experiences offered. I was here on a sunny day which is rare in Seattle throughout the year. Bell Street and other streets may have slopes like San Francisco that are tough to walk up or down while rolling heavy luggages, but some streets like 1st Avenue at Bell Street is easy to walk on. You can also take public transportation or Bell Street Link Light Rail Station if you have time. Walking to Pine Street and Pike Place isn't bad at all if you're up for it. There's an elevator for getting up or down if you don't want to walk and carry bags up & down the stairs to terminal. Check-in process was fast and easy for cruisers, especially those going on an NCL-Norwegian cruise trip to Alaska from here. I like Seattle views, so it worked out perfectly. Photos turned out amazing here at this terminal. Nice!
