I am extremely disappointed with our experience with Bellevue Healthcare, and after what happened…read moretoday, I have serious concerns about the quality and safety of their mobility equipment repair work. My 92-year-old father-in-law relies on his Baja Wrangler scooter for his mobility and independence. About a year ago, we brought it to Bellevue Healthcare because it would suddenly lose power and die while he was using it. We described exactly what we were experiencing: the scooter was losing power. They told us the batteries needed to be replaced, so we replaced them. That seemed to help for a few months, but then the exact same problem returned. We brought the scooter back and again explained that it was suddenly losing power. This time, we were told the circuit board was the problem. Bellevue Healthcare kept his scooter for THREE WEEKS to replace the circuit board. When we finally got it back, it was still having the exact same problem. Now we are being told the problem may actually be the right rear motor because the rear tire has been wobbling and has damaged the rotor. But what happened next is by far the most concerning part of this experience. While examining the motor, Bellevue Healthcare had removed the right rear wheel. Afterward, the nut securing that wheel was not properly tightened. Today, while my 92-year-old father-in-law was actually driving the scooter, the wheel nearly came off. That is completely unacceptable. This isn't simply an inconvenience or a repair that didn't work. Returning mobility equipment to a 92-year-old with a wheel that was not properly secured created a potentially serious safety hazard. Beyond that, throughout this process there appears to have been no thorough diagnostic evaluation to determine WHY the scooter was repeatedly losing power. Instead, we have gone from batteries, to a circuit board, and now to a motor/rotor issue while the original problem has continued. When we questioned the previous repair, we were actually told that because WE described it as a "power issue," that was why they replaced the circuit board. Of course we described it as a power issue--the scooter was suddenly losing power. We are the customers, not mobility-equipment technicians. How could we possibly know whether the underlying cause was a battery, circuit board, motor, rotor, wheel, or something else? Diagnosing the cause of the symptoms is precisely why we brought the scooter to professionals. At this point, we have had multiple visits, multiple diagnoses, replacement batteries, a replaced circuit board, three weeks without the scooter for a repair that did not solve the problem, and now a wheel that was not properly secured after Bellevue Healthcare worked on it. This scooter is not recreational equipment. It is essential mobility equipment for a 92-year-old man. He should be able to trust that when his scooter is returned from a medical equipment repair company, it is safe for him to use. Customers should not be expected to diagnose their own equipment before bringing it in, and they certainly should not have to worry that a wheel may nearly come off after that equipment has been serviced. For a company entrusted with repairing equipment that elderly and disabled people depend on for their mobility and safety, I expected a dramatically higher standard of care, competence, and accountability. After our experience, I have lost confidence in Bellevue Healthcare's ability to safely and accurately service this equipment. While they previously were helpful when we purchased a wheelchair, their repair department is deeply disappointing and dangerous.

Our objective was to see how often and how we would use a boat. After a season, we decided to buy a Cobalt boat. We had stayed in touch with Shane over the last year. Tommy sent me a library of videos to review prior to delivery and then did the on water boat orientation and walk through. He took me through all the systems and how they worked. In general, SBC sells and services high-end boats. They provide a concierge type experience. There are always staff around to answer questions and help you with any issues. They are definitely a higher-end dealer and it is not the low cost place. However, they provide the service and facilities that goes along with the price. Highly recommended.

I've been flying since I was 3 years old and I'm 52 now, so that should tell you how many flights…read moreI've taken in my life. Somehow, though, this was my first time ever on a seaplane. To say I was anxious is an understatement. Every bad thought was going through my head. Every movie about a plane crash, every news article about a small plane or seaplane accident, every worst case scenario you can imagine. I was honestly questioning my life choices and wondering why I had agreed to do this. The first reason was my daughter. She flew with Harbour Air from Vancouver to Seattle, and she has the same flying anxiety that I do. She absolutely loved it and kept telling me, "Mom, you have to try it!" The second reason was that my friend and I only had 24 hours in Victoria. I didn't want to spend half the day driving to the ferry terminal, waiting, taking the ferry, and doing the whole process all over again on the way back. We wanted to maximize our time, so we decided to be brave and go for it. Honestly, right up until boarding, I was thinking about turning around and calling it a day. I had my noise-canceling AirPods ready, my anxiety was at a solid 100%, and I was trying not to panic. Luckily, I met a lovely lady who ended up becoming a friend, and she gave me a few tips to help when my anxiety started kicking in. The flight from Seattle to Victoria was honestly wonderful. The weather was beautiful, the views were amazing, and the pilot was a young gentleman who was an absolute sweetheart. Smooth takeoff, smooth flight, smooth landing. I couldn't have asked for a better first seaplane experience. The flight back was a little different. We had an older pilot, there was some fog leaving Victoria, and it was a bit rougher than the first flight. But that's weather, not the airline. We landed safely, and that's what matters. I also have to give a shout-out to the staff in both Seattle and Victoria. Every single person we dealt with was super nice, super chill, professional, patient, and helpful. Nobody made me feel silly for being nervous, and their calm attitude definitely helped. Would I do it again? Absolutely. Would I be nervous again? Probably. Would I still do it? 100%. The views alone are worth it. The time savings are worth it. And for someone who spent half the trip thinking about all the things that could go wrong, I ended up really enjoying it. So if you're anxious about flying on a seaplane like I was, take it from someone whose imagination is way too active you'll probably be just fine. And yes, I would do it again.
