Mike and his wife are very personable and know auto upholstery backwards and forward. They have a very neat and large well organized shop. I wanted to add headrests to the existing seats and Mike set me out on a hunt for headrest parts that he can put on the existing seat frames. He is great to work with. My wife will have to pick out trim and color pattern for our new seats. Since the Malibu is hi metallic black on the top and hi metallic red on the body, we will have black seats with red and maybe silver accents. Should really dress up the Mali SS. So many repair shops did not answer their phones. I left messages and only about 1/2 called back. I did get a price quote from another shop but it was a price with a flat hourly rate. I felt I should call around a little more. When I called All City Convertibles Matt answered . Listened to the issue I had .Then He did his best to help me. I told him I lived in Puyallup. He said that he knew a shop that did really good work and it would be easier for me to get service a few minutes away rather than an hour or so drive. But if they could not help call him back and he would fix the top. So I called the other shopp but they were booked until after January. I called Matt back and he got me on the schedule. I drove up yesterday it took an hour and a half. Matt was there and got the car in immediately and started to work on it. About an hour and a half later he had the job wrapped up and I was on my way back home. Perfect! The reason I contacted All City Convertibles and Customs was because of how rare it is to see a company with 100% 5 star reviews. Yes price is important but it was not the driver to go there. It has been a well-used and well-loved couch. There are photos on my mom and dad after getting engaged on that couch. I opened Christmas presents as a little girl on that couch. My whole family, at one point in their lives, has slept on that couch. It has seen celebrations and illness. And it looked like it. Seriously looked like it. The cushions were under an inch thick, and the once very swanky, mod fabric was threadbare in places. Marie agreed to take a look. I sent photos, but then she actually drove 30+ minutes to where we lived at the time to see the couch in person for a proper assessment. She also brought with her thousands of fabric samples from which to choose. She spent almost two hours with us talking about the job, helping us choose the right fabric, and educating us about upholstery in general. And as if that wasn't enough, she is a genuinely good human to whom you could chat for hours. She glows from the inside. Marie gave us a fair estimate and told us it would be about a month. She was right on time and did AN IMPECCABLE JOB! We couldn't even believe it was the same piece. Yes, she's a perfectionist with fabric (Look at her portfolio to see how she matches intricately detailed fabric seamlessly from cushion to base to piping, etc.), but she is also a true craftsman who went above and beyond. She re-stuffed every inch of eac section rather than just here and there. She put in new springs at the front of each base so the sections are at the right angle for sitting. She reinforced the base of each piece. She Scotch Guarded the whole thing. She even gave me some oil/stain so I could freshen up the coffee and side table bases (glass tops) that my gran bought with the couch. We could not be more thrilled.
