i stayed in a tower suite at the the boca raton for a conference and had an excellent experience. the service is absolutely top notch, every day i would receive a new item from shower spray to chocolates to glasses wipes. i also heard that other people received cord velcros and other small, useful items. the level of thoughtfulness is truly next level! in addition, the entire property is incredible, from the historic architecture to more modern builds. i definitely enjoyed my stay. read more

Service was very poor and staff without knowledge of the facilities, food or amenities. For example, I asked one staff member where to find men's swimsuits and he directed me to women's swim shop. I told him there are no men's suits in there. So he sent me to a golf shop that did not have men's swim. This went on and I realized he along with anyone else I asked had no clue about their shops or what's around. Every question I asked about, no one working at The Boca Raton seemed to have a real answer for that solved a problem. The staff seem to make up answers on the spot. So service is 1/5. Facilities in the new renovated tower were nice but we paid upward over $2k per night that did not deliver the luxury of a $2k per night stay. I have stayed in more comfortable Hilton and Marriott's and even Airbnbs for far less. The sheets are not soft. The bed was not firm. The space was quiet though and the bathroom was nice. However toilet paper was the cheapest brand I've ever seen. So definitely far from luxury. Food 1/5. The snacks in the room and all over the resort for kids all had red dye and carcinogens. There is no care for healthy truly good quality food here. So you pay a premium for the cheapest food in America. I have seen most all businesses, even basic businesses, move away from fake junk food, dyed food and those with carcinogenic links, but not The Boca Raton. So we paid a lot for food that we never you touched. No organic options either. High pesticide load as well. I have to say overall this is an overpriced resort striving to be luxury without the ability to live up to luxury. Overcrowded. Overpriced. Pesticides and Carcinogenic. Poor quality. They're doing a lot of construction since it is a pretty old hotel. I have been coming here every other year for over a decade -- for a conference. I've seen the ownership changes over time. This last visit left me with a need to update my review. I like to start with a positive. This is a very cool, historic resort dating back to the 1920s. The hotel has a vintage luxury vibe that is authentic to Boca Raton. The condition of the property is good, and it has been updated in the right ways. However, my last visit showed a huge problem with the management and customer service. I had numerous problems--which can happen--but the biggest problem was a lack of follow-up. It started when the fronk desk promised our bags would be delivered immediately to our room, and we had to find them in the bell desk closet nearly an hour later. Then we had a hot water problem. I took a few cold showers. My first complaint had no action. My second complaint resulted in a "fixed" sign, but it was not. It took the third complaint to finally get an answer -- you have to wait 10 minutes for hot water. I'm not kidding -- that was the real answer. For my trouble I was promised a bottle of wine that never came. I also was promised a room credit that wasn't applied. On the next to last day I asked that my Tesla be put on the charger for my drive home, and asked again the last morning, but it never happened. At check out I was finally -- after raising the issue again -- given a $100 credit after spending nearly $1,000 at the resort. So... there was something. However, I believe there is a systematic problem here. All the staff is very friendly and seemingly helpful, but the follow-up is generally poor. When you pay premium prices for a luxury resort like this -- you expect a wonderful experience. The Boca Raton delivers in some respects, but there is more work to be done to be the world class resort they would like to be. This was our first time staying at the Boca Raton as we were invited by park West for the art action. We were very surprised with how BIG the property was. 5 different hotels, many restaurants to choose from. Beautiful private beach. The pools were nice, however, I think there should be an adult only pool at the main hotel (instead of at the beach) because this hotel is kid friendly. The Spa was wonderful, very private, super clean. Has all the amenities. (Spa is not co-ed) I do agree with some of the other reviews on here that this hotel definitely caters to the members- The monkey bar was member only and there was almost no one ever in that place. We walked by many times with someone playing live music (we love live music) and not a single person was there to enjoy it The food and drinks were good but pretty expensive. I paid $27 dollars for a dirty martini, more than most would charge. We over all had a pleasant experience at the hotel and with the staff. They were very polite , professional and accommodating- We will come back for special occasions. read more

I attended an art auction held at the Boca Raton Hotel. What an experience staying at the hotel for 3 nights! The first amazement was at the gate. I was welcomed at the gate and was told the hotel was expecting me. When I pulled up, I was greeted at the entrance. Checking in was a breeze and I felt very welcomed. I was given a map and was told that all the snacks and drinks in the minibar in the room are complimentary, and if I needed anything refilled, just ask!!! My room was in the Cloister. There are 5 distinct hotels as part of the resort. The Cloister is the renovated part of the 6 story original hotel. I was truly amazed when I entered my room! See pictures! My room faced the entrance. The nespresso coffee machine was the highlight of my room!!! I toured the hotel and took the ferry to the Beach Club where the pools and private beach access is located. There are many restaurants, bars, snack shop, ice cream shops, outdoor pizza oven, regular shops plus a salon. The history of the hotel aligns one of the corridors leading to the ballroom s. The staff was friendly and inviting!! I truly did have a great stay here! Parking- valet parking and self park behind the hotel at a cost/day. Horrible hotel we stayed at the beach club I am beyond disappointed I was given a room with dirty bed sheets and a dirty tub. The next day until I made a fuss my room wasn't cleaned. Pool and beach food is terrible something you would expect at a 1 star hotel. On the day of the check out it took a bus boy 30 minutes to come. I give this resort 5 stars all around because there are very few places around this world that have so many different hotels behind their security gated property that can keep up a level of excellence the way this property does. For starters, the valet is extremely well run; checking in and checking out is seamless- you can request a time that you would like for your car to be upfront and it will be there. The hotel itself it gorgeous and very well put together. We dined at the Japanese bocce club and had a piece of plastic in our sushi and the entire meal was hard to take down.... Ended up going and ordering a pizza elsewhere. we ate at Marisol as well and sent the steak back, it was a very disappointing experience. Today as the burger bar this grilled cheese really just made us realize staying at the Boca is great, but dining here is a definite no. I have now stayed in the Cloister building, the Yacht Club, and the Tower. The Tower and the Yacht Club are amazing. The service throughout The Boca Raton is good, but the Yacht Club and the Tower definitely stand out- obviously because you pay more. I love my staycations at The Boca Raton! The only thing I would mention is that it can get very crowded and sometimes feels like there are way too many people, likely due to the members' club. Also, the Japanese restaurant on the property is quite underwhelming. If you're planning to dine on-site, I would recommend any of the other restaurants instead. We also had a guy walking around who told us some great architecture/history of a few of the lobbys. My wife recently had a conference in Boca Raton and since the conference was at the Boca Raton there was no need in looking at other hotels or resorts. When you first get here, you realize the attention to detail from valet to check in, to room service is well choreographed. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly, professional and helpful. The rooms are slightly dated but the room size is decent and again, the attention to detail is apparent. We were on the ground floor and the only issue is you can hear people walking right outside of your room. We didn't eat on the property but there are plenty of great restaurants around to choose from. Overall, the stay was nice and the property is immense, well manicured and everyone there is there to make your stay as pleasant as possible. IF you decide you want to rent a vehicles, they do have them onsite, such as a Ferrari or Range Rovers, but nah, I'm good! read more

I stayed here while having a surgery and the view was amazing. The staff was incredibly helpful and on certain days you can find deals for Florida residents on their website. They do have great perks like electric charging at the Beach Club (where I stayed). They have a selection of snacks and a full mini bar. Even a couple of beers waiting in the fridge when you arrive There were a few things which I didn't love. I was on the sixth floor and there were some bleach stains on the carpet coming out of the elevator and under their hands sanitizer station. Also, I had some issues getting a $100 credit for my breakfast but it was somewhat resolved toward the end of the stay. In my room the carpet seemed like it needed to be cleaned to obut it wasn't horrible. Everything else was amazing. In addition, I requested a juice through room service and the brought the wrong one twice. I can't really complain, this place is awe inspiring and the staff is super friendly but there's just a few details here and there that didn't make it 5 stars to me. read more

Where to begin? I would consider myself a hotel snob as I only like to go to the best, and if I'm in Florida I better be on the water. My partner convinced me to try the adults only area of the Boca Raton called The Yacht Club. From the moment we drove on the property I was impressed. The grounds are clean and tidy, the service is top notch. We were personally escorted to the Yacht club and once seated we were given champagne. The hostess even recommended we eat at Flybridge for dinner (more on that later) but we already had reservations. Dinner at Flybridge was the whole reason I decided to try out the Boca Raton outside of the adults only area. If you want to relax in peace the Yacht Club is where to have to stay. It's a little further out from all the activities but it's quiet, private and keeps the riff raff out. Turndown service every night was exceptional. Probably the best I've ever experienced. Every night on a tray was a little gift (either hand lotion, chocolates, lip balm, or shower spray etc) with a note showing sunrise and sunset. What a nice touch! The staff was always extremely friendly and warm and they always knew our name. Truly a memorable experience. I went to Boca Chica their resort wear store and was pleasantly surprised by the gorgeous selection and presentation. I ended buying a Lizzie fortunato pearl and turquoise choker and a "the Boca Raton" navy logo sweater. The grounds are gorgeous and expansive. Unfortunately this trip we weren't able to play golf but next time we will. We did end up going to the beach one day by taking their little shuttle boat where we were greeted every set of the way. We rented a day bed for $150 which was very worth it because of how windy it was that day. The day bed came with 6 water bottles and a fruit basket. We were able to order food that got delivered to the day bed. It was a great time. The pools were very crowded. Even the adult only pool had some kids on the perimeter. I would opt for relaxing on the ocean before going to the pool. Harbor house left much to be desired. Not my favorite restaurant. Palm court has an excellent bar and the food was great. Get the cavier! Flybridge deserves all the flowers. First the breakfast is exceptional. They have an all you can eat buffet or you can order food. Carmen I believe her name is the hostess and she's the best. Made our morning every morning. At night on the weekend Flybridge turns into a tasting menu. Michelin star worthy. This place is BIG! Easy to get lost, but staff was always super friendly and asked questions if you looked like you needed help. I was here for a conference and I'd have to say the size of the hotel property is a bit daunting. My room was in the Beach House, which was literally a 15 min bus trip to my meetings (you could use a water taxi too). The Beach House is not located anywhere near the main building.... not even part of the main property. Shuttling was a bit of a hassle because I had to bus to my meetings each day (and back). Otherwise, the rooms were comfortable, not huge, but they did have a nice TV (limited channels... but you did get Netflix) and I really liked the waterfall showers. Others in my group did complain about loud AC's and rooms that were either too cold or too hot. (I didn't have any of these problems). Try to get a room on the beach side (which I did). The view of the pool(s) and ocean are pretty great.... And the sunrise is spectacular! Like I said, the staff was very helpful and well trained, but they could use a few more people at registration in the morning and another bartender or two in the evening. It is made up of 5 towers located on both the harbor and beach side. There is so much to do from relaxing at any of their pools, private access to the beach, enjoying the water park, water sports, spa, shopping, playing golf, having a few cocktails at any of their gorgeous bars and my absolute favorite, dining at any of their numerous high end restaurants. The list goes on! Many of the restaurants are a part of The Major Food Group, same folks as Carbone. Also, in order to dine in, you must be a hotel guest or member. I recently stayed at the Boca Raton for Memorial Day weekend and I had an absolute blast and honestly, I'm obsessed. Based on my experience, I highly recommend staying on the harbor side as it's close to the main pools, bars, restaurants, etc. I personally stayed at The Cloister which was the perfect location in my opinion. Whenever I wanted to go to the beach or beach side, I would hop on their water taxi boat that picks you up and takes you back; pretty awesome! I believe there's also a bus. During our two night stay, we dined at 4 restaurants, all were great but we did have a bad experience during breakfast at Sadelles - we waited two hours or more for our food. Besides that experience, service and food was excellent at all the other spots. I truly enjoyed dinner at The Flamingo Grill, everything was delish! Be sure to save room for their banana foster dessert. Bocce Club was another great spot for dinner and lastly, you must have breakfast at Marisol, it's on the beach so the view is spectacular. Regarding the bars, The Supper Club is a must! They had live jazz & fabulous cocktails. Overall, I highly recommend the Boca Raton to everyone. I had such a great time and I'm sure you will too! I don't know how anyone can give a Waldorf Astoria historic resort less than 5 stars. I was lucky enough to stay here as part of a human resources conference. I am sure that the normal price of the rooms is well above my price range so I enjoyed it. Our rooms were in the historic building, built in 1926, which must have been the golden year of architecture in Florida because it is the same year that the Tampa Theatre was built and the style is very similar. My room was beautiful. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the mini bar/coffee area was everything I needed, and the bathroom was nice. Also, the whole room smelled amazing every time I entered the room. I didn't have dinner in the historic hotel but I did take the shuttle out to the beach and had dinner at the bar on the beach, which is attached to the Mediterranean restaurant. This is a great little spot. The bartender was super nice, the champagne was good and the grilled octopus was fabulous. You can hear the waves and just relax. There is a really nice pool out at the beach hotel as well, which is right next to the bar. I considered going out there the next day after our seminar ended but I decided to check out the pool next to the historic hotel. The pool on the main property next to the historic property is really nice, with bar service. I didn't get there until about 5pm but it was pretty busy with families. Apparently I got there at the right time because it wasn't overcrowded. I stayed there and enjoyed a few drinks until about 8pm. At that time it was getting dark and they were starting a movie for people to watch in the pool. There is never a bad day reading at the pool. If you are there for a conference or a wedding, you will more than likely be at the hall across the courtyard. It is a beautiful hall with plenty of nice meeting rooms or reception rooms. We had breakfast service and afternoon beverage service each day at the center, and the staff there was awesome. Every staff person I encountered was great. For a luxury hotel I can honestly say I was highly disappointed. The staff was great, they were very cordial. The lazy river was ok, very small though. The transportation to and from the beach was great. The issue I had was with the over priced horrible tasting food (seasoning matters ). My biggest gripe is the parking though. The mandatory no option valet parking was horrible. If you are in any kind of situation where you have to depart immediately you are screwed. My family and I have been coming here for many years and I got married at the hotel in 2022. However, in recent years the resort has gone significantly downhill. It has turned into a private club rather than a luxury resort. The staff is very rude and unaccommodating to hotel guests. You get hassled every time you go to the pool or any restaurant. If you are a hotel guest you won't be waited on as they only care about members. The resort allows members to take over all the amenities. There is no service at the pool. We rented a private cabana and still had terrible service. Service in the restaurants are terrible and the food is horrible. Also the famous monkey bar is now a members only club and there is no one is in there. The Boca has lost all of its charm and all things/people that made it a very special place. The new owner and management have ruined it. Nothing about it is five star. It is very sad that once was my favorite place to visit and is sentimental has become a huge disappointment. read more

Unless you're booking a room in the new tower, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. It's over 100 years old, and it shows in every aspect of your stay. I paid $700 a night for a one bedroom suite, and it was a huge disappointment. The bed felt like a valley--high on the sides and caving in the middle--making it almost impossible to get a good night's sleep. I struggled to get out of bed each morning. The suite also has a tiny bathroom with only one small sink, making it impossible for 2 people to use at once. The old wall to wall carpet was in terrible condition, adding to the overall unpleasant atmosphere. Save your money and stay elsewhere. It's not worth the price. Update: i've requested to speak with a manager, Monica (director) was unhelpful, her suggestion was to have housekeeping flip the mattress upside down... read more

The Boca Raton resort is truly a special property in South Florida. My wife and I spent a few days at the property as a quick getaway from NY and as no surprise, ran into numerous other couples from the ti-state area. The property is expansive and feels truly like your own private oasis in the middle of Boca. What some people may not know before getting to the hotel, is that it is a completely private resort, only open to guests and members. We opted to stay at the Cloisters given the proximity to restaurants, fitness center and pool. Rooms are large and well appointed. We can't wait go get back! read more

so I decided to give the Boca Raton a second chance to see if anything has changed as my last day there nothing has changed. The new non-tipped policy is not working the employees don't look excited no one is looking to help you because they don't get any benefits tip wise everything is done by occupancy. I got to talk to a employee who told me that everybody does not get any tips in the salary has not been raised. They're getting $14 an hour and no tips. If you get caught getting a tip you are immediate written up and fired on the spot for accepting tips. Apparently, you have to turn down tips three times and then if you do get a tip, you have to bring it downstairs put in an envelope and write down the guess you got it from at the end of your shift bring it upstairs, which gets divided between 30 to 40 Bellman there are three towers tower the yacht club and the bungalows. The bungalows are run really bad. They say there's one Bellman there who they supervisor and they don't know why he is his name. Is Ryan who treats everybody with no respect to all their staff members. The Front desk doesn't know what they're doing a lot of people leaving because it's a non-tip hotel anymore since Michael Dell the guy who owns Dell computers bought it right before the pandemic apparently so now no one gets tips. It's based on occupancy and sometimes slow. The occupancy is not high. The only people making money is the valet department and they're sneaky about it. They're making a lot of money in the hotel that they seem to care. They're holding cars blocking traffic guy named Lubo who is in charge of it. It's not even a manager, but he's in charge of scheduling. The whole staff stealing one. Bellman says he doesn't care if he gets fired or court because he needs to make money to support his kids and a $14 an hour with no tips, you cannot support your family he would think about leaving, but he needs the insurance cause he has a very sick child at home so if I was you, I would think about not staying there because it's run or micro management. they don't let the staff actually do their jobs if they do their jobs are telling to do wrong. They're worried about getting Five Star readings at all their buildings, bungalows towers, and the beach resort so I would think twice before I book a stay read more

I've stayed at the Boca Raton multiple times and always had nice experiences. However, during my most recent stay in early October, I booked through Agoda instead of directly with the hotel, and that led to some confusion regarding the resort fees. The booking stated 'taxes and fees included,' so I assumed the resort fee was covered. When I checked in, the front desk couldn't confirm whether the resort fee was included, which seemed odd, but I didn't press further. After my stay, I was billed for two nights of resort fees. When I reached out to the billing department, it took several calls to get a response, and when I finally spoke with someone, I found the interaction dismissive and unhelpful. I was told that it was an issue between Agoda and the hotel and that I'd need to resolve it myself by contacting Agoda. I explained that I didn't understand why the lack of communication between the hotel and third-party platforms like Agoda or Expedia should become my problem. It seems unreasonable for the customer to be the one chasing down a refund when there's clearly a miscommunication between the hotel and the booking platforms. The issue wasn't about the money--it was more about feeling like I was being slighted and, frankly, cheated out of something I wasn't informed about up front. The conversation ended with the representative saying she would speak to the front desk, which didn't address the real issue of unclear communication about the resort fees in the booking process. This soured my experience with what is otherwise a lovely hotel. I would appreciate it if someone could contact me who can actually help resolve this. read more

Beautiful property, fun albeit expensive dining options and a wonderfully restored part(s) of the hotel is unfortunately overshadowed by dirty carpeting, a poorly remodeled room and dirty couch. Wait, was it remodeled yet? We had to initially change rooms due to broken AC. Cloister side is still a work in progress. Prices are absolutely outrageous, ridiculous and borderline insane for where the property is at in completion. The construction noise was early every morning. We were here for a work convention and it was so tropical and tranquil. I was reminded how beautiful Florida is and this resort is truly a peaceful escape. Upon arrival, you have to give your name at the security building outside before you can enter the premises. The architecture reminds me of Alhambra and is Mediterranean revival in style. The colors are soft pastel pinks, palm trees line the property and you will find pockets of mosaic designs, fountains and stunning views at every turn. There is a spa on-site and you pass the eucalyptus fragrance as you walk to the convention center. The resort has many restaurant and bar options , even the famous Serendipity ice cream shop from NYC and the movie with John Cusack. Rooms: Comfortable beds, sleek modern bathroom. I had a shower, no tub. The toiletries are from Molton Brown. I loved the little balcony and view overlooking the courtyard. Each room also has robes, a safe, TV, and plenty of snacks in the mini bar. I had a very quiet and comfortable stay and loved my room. Food: We had banquet meals at our convention and the food was outstanding. The service and banquet teams are phenomenal. My only complaint was having lunch on the lawn at 12pm with only a few umbrellas. It was hard to eat with the sun bouncing off of the white tablecloths yet that was a planning issue on the company's part, not on the hotel. Resort views and exploration: There are walking paths and plenty of places to explore on this resort. You can also go to the condo tower that is part of the complex. They have a restaurant and bar on a high floor and the view is amazing. We went for happy hour and I think it was called Blue. Worth the visit and drink. I truly enjoyed my stay here. It was a tropical getaway in Florida and the staff, accommodations and experience were all stellar. read more

Gorgeous backdrop for a Wine Jazz Auction sponsored by the Boca Chamber of Commerce. My first time at the enchanting Waldorf Astoria hotel influenced by Addison Mizner. The entrance, lobby and ballroom were elegant, Boca style. The event was nicely organized. All the wine you can drink! Too bad I don't drink much. But, I enjoyed tasting some interesting white wines. I never post negative about places - but I am a bit perturbed with the ridiculousness of this place. It's a Shakespearian comedy. Reserved 3 days for Christmas, they required payment in full - so I paid over $5500 for a two bedroom suite. Being that it is an upscale place I didn't mind the price. We arrived to find the rooms were dated, as you can see in the pics - stains on rug, chairs with noticeable dings as well is areas on bathroom counter. For the price I paid - I would expect an IMMACULATE room! Nevertheless, my party and I stayed without mention of this. What was also interesting, was that we received refillable water bottles of which we were told that we would have water stations in various locations around the grounds to refill. We are a party of 4, and are those types that drink a lot of water. So we searched for the refillable water station near our floor (3rd floor) - the closest water station was near the front desk. No way we were walking all that to get water.... Ok so let's ask for water bottles, we said - to which we were told they do not have and that we would have to use station or have one of the workers come refill the bottles. Now imagine us having to go down 3 floors, past the front desk to fill our bottles each and every time we want to refill because there is no way we would allow someone else, who possibly has Covid, take our bottles and refill them each time - especially having to do so in the middle of the night. We addressed the concern the first time; all the clerk did was apologize and reiterate that there were no other options. As if satisfying their customer's needs and not being properly prepared for such situations was a hassle and an annoyance. We spoke to another clerk later on in the day and guess what she produced.... The nonexistent water bottles and were provided only 4 bottles. But wait it get's better, we had dinner and were offered a "special but delicious" meat that was not on the menu which "was absolutely divine". Granted, we should have asked for the price before ordering it but when we got the bill - that 12oz piece of meat was $230. Ok, so they reared the cattle themselves on totally organic food, gave it multivitamins and prohibited from having liquor to avoid being unhealthy??? When we arrived home the same day, we realized an item was left in the room and immediately called to see if they can mail it to us (I even offered to cover shipping cost) - still haven't received my items; not even a call back to let me know fee. So now we have these concerns leaving a bad taste in our mouths, and yes we may sound petty; but I remind you that we paid over $5000 for high end quality service - and all we got were lazy people, disgusting room and overpriced cows. The best part is that 90% of the workers there proudly tell us during our casual conversations with them that they have been working there for a week. This may answer a lot of answers on the poor service.... We were offered a discount on room, which was a nice offer - but have yet to receive it, even after I received a call from the "billing" department. There is no answer when I call, I tried other departments which was not helpful at all. Needless to say, I now have to travel a few hours to go in person to not only discuss the refund issue, but to pick up the items I left if in the room - which I hope they still have. read more

My family was brought to the Boca Raton as part of a Make a Wish trip for my son. We were blown away by the location, the rooms, and most importantly the staff. Guillermo treated us like family while we were there and went above and beyond to make sure we were always comfortable and had everything we needed. As a mom traveling across the country with three kids in tow, this meant the world. Nick took us on a fun and educational Moke tour of the property and surrounding area. It was a blast and we learned so much! George as so kind and always made a point to talk to us and give the kids gummy bears along with Guillermo. The kids couldn't get over how nice they are and actually miss them! We are forever grateful for this beautiful experience for our family and hope to one day return. read more

Beautiful, sophisticated and pleasant. Facilities are very well designed and cared for. Building design is beautifully balanced between rustic structures and modern design. This resort has many facilities that appeal to a broad range of interests all in one place. It offers exactly the right balance between relaxation and fancy, luxurious accommodations all with top notch amenities. Good location and close to the beach club (regular shuttle service). The live music at various venues during our stay was also a treat. Animals are welcome! Luckily I saw no kids around! Not really a kid resort after all. Staff: Very great, helpful, courteous, respectful staff everyone seemed like they wanted to be there and share a great experience of the place. Everyone treated equally and nice whether your a silver gold or diamond member you're treated fairly. Shaka grill poolside serves awesome food, get the fish tacos made of daily catch delicious. I didn't like Bar Luna's lunch menu (we ate at 4 pm). 501 East restaurant is awesome and food too! I am not a Sushi person but heard is great! Serendipity is awesome but very expensive. It doesn't matter what you get here it's going to be huge! Very pricey but GOOD! I am a "spa girl", please do yourself a favor and take advantage of all the water therapies available! It is a great Spa but I have been in better Spas...especially in Grand Cayman Islands. I had a masaage and facial, again could be better. I was not 100% satisfied specially when you pay almost $500 dlls for both. ~Cons: *Food was overpriced. Limited choices of just normal food. Everything was really elegant and fancy. Which is fine but sometimes u just want a simple sandwich or burger that doesn't cost $25. *The rooms need to be renovated and are very outdated for this kind of high end resort. *Unfortunately, we didn't have a room with a view and our room was noisy during early morning due to door slams. Our room was on the 3rd floor facing the spa area so ask the lobby before getting a room in this area. The rooms have doors that don't close smooth or quite. Every morning from Sunday to Friday stay, I was woken by doors being slammed not by 1 or 2.I counted about 26 slams one morning by guests or room service when cleaning, but either way it was very frustrating trying to sleep specially when sick, even at evening is annoying if guests are next to your room. *Another note, the bed sheets were not soft at all. They were full of tiny fuzz balls all over. See pictures! It was a comfortable mattress but very uncomfortable to sleep on it with the sheets. Hotel needs better laundry procedures or invest on better quality of sheets. *Got very sick after eating at Bar Luna - I ordered Calamari and it just made me very sick for 2 days. I am one of those who eats raw seafood since little girl and never ever gotten sick. I am pretty sure it was the lamb added to this dish. I had never eaten lamb before because I hate the taste. Anyway- pricey or overpriced- 100% YES Do I recommend this resort? Yes! Still a nice resort overall. read more
