This is one of the best buildings in Stamford. The leasing officer Andre is our go to guy! He and his team have been helpful since the time we moved in. I've been living here for a year now and have no complaints. All the facilities are very good! Free breakfast Fridays is just a cherry on the cake! There are many building parties as well. I have lived at the Blvd for 4 years now. The amenities are fabulous as well as the modern apartment appliances. The location of the building is so convenient, positioned close enough to downtown to walk to bars and night life but far enough to not have to deal with the noise. Management has changed hands a few times but the current manager, Randy, is the best yet. He is extremely responsive and willing to go the extra mile to assist residents. He has been amazing in helping me with any small issues that arise. Julissa is always helpful and genuinely kind as well. The team we have now is top notch and I truly hope that they stay permanently. read more

I wish I could give 0 stars. I would advise everyone to avoid this property especially when there are comparable buildings in terms of amenities - such as Parallel 41 & 75 Tresser within a short walking distance. The management is completely inept. They also park in the handicap spots and that lack of respect shows through in every encounter I have had with them. You pay a $60 amenity fee for a small living room with no AC spotty internet and a rooftop with broken grills and no propane, a broken tv with no volume that is only open memorial through Labor Day regardless of the weather! Keep in mind the other buildings mentioned about offers a pool, rooftop open longer, theatre rooms and public kitchens. The stainless steel counter tops look nice when you first move in - but are completely impractical for living purposes. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

RENTERS BEWARE: I have lived at the Blvd for almost a year and I would guarantee that the reviews posted online are all written by management company staff. Let's start with the basics: The Management company and owners have changed over 3 times since I've lived here. The only good thing about this team is the maintenance guys. They are awesome. The people they have cycling through the office have no idea what they're doing and they are not friendly. You can hear conversations through your closed windows, they are that cheap. Condensation builds up and you have to keep diligent about keeping them clean otherwise mold will form. The walls are all cracking, the baseboards are all separating from the floors and walls. There is no garbage disposal. All fixtures are from Ikea. Doors slam all the time and you can hear everything through the walls. They don't even have peepholes on the doors for safety measures. And beware of the trash rooms, they smell to high heaven and stink up the hallways. The parking lot is a popular cut through for bar patrons to shout and yell through at 2am. And there is some weird, very loud noises coming from the UConn HVAC systems. During the summer, you can't even keep your windows open from how loud it is. Parking here is a JOKE. You get 1 parking spot for $25. Each additional spot is $125. The parking lot is a nightmare to try and get in and out of your space. It takes a 3 or 4 point turn to just get into your space. Forget about trying to keep your car ding free, the spaces are too small even for a compact-sized car. Also, they let residents/staff park in the handicap spots. Let's also cover the revolving door of corporate/transient housing they are providing. Moving trucks from Churchill are here almost weekly loading and unloading furniture. Did I also mention they have been listing the apartments on Air BnB? If I sign a lease and pay the huge rents, why then is this building acting as a hotel? It negates the safety of knowing who we live with. Do they have to sign the same lease requirements? I think not. The "coffee bar" is just an espresso machine that is broken more than it's working. You pay $60 a month in "amenity" fees for a broken espresso machine, a pool table and a "gym" that smells like burnt electrical equipment all the time. The moral of the story? Learn from my mistakes and don't rent here. They charge HUGE rent for very little quality, comfort and value. UPDATE 2/4/15 : I forgot some items on my review. Since the two big snowstorms, our parking lot looks like a disaster. The first storm, the plow driver, who must be new at plowing, his truck broke down all day in the parking lot. They have effectively plowed people IN to their parking spots. Barely any salt to battle the ice and whole plow piles left, leaving residents to have to shovel and ice pick their cars out themselves. Deliveries are allowed right up to your apartment without asking for identification or verification on who is delivering items. It states very clearly on the website : "controlled access" Nope. With no peepholes in the doors, there's no way of knowing who's at your door unless you open it up. As a woman, that can be frightening. I have asked repeatedly to be put onto the buzzer system, but have been told since April 2014 the software was broken. Packages are left in the hallway for anyone to take at any time. With the building's front door always open, how can we guarantee our deliveries aren't stolen? Stainless steal counter tops? No Aluminum, "Resident Bar and Club Room" No, it's a kitchen that has a pool room in it. "Community Events" No. They bring in partner vendors to promote their goods/services. "Evening Concierge Service" Nope. It's just someone that is sometimes there from 6-11pm watching tv on their phone. There is no cafe here. Yes the company accepts credit cards, if you want to add a minimum of $300 to your rent. Just a heads up. read more

WARNING DON"T GIVE A SECURITY DEPOSIT I previously posted a review giving the BLVD a 5 star rating do to the great staff. I wish to take back that post as I am having difficulty getting my security deposit back. Kathy Vargas the manager of the building has not come through for us! BTW, our housekeeper cleaned the apartment after the movers left and we left the apartment cleaner that when we moved in! If you are considering renting at the BLVD, I would negotiate a low security deposit and on your last rent bill, minus the security deposit from the check. I needed a place to live with easy access to I-95.After looking at a few places I made my way to The BLVD. Andre in the leasing office was friendly and easy to work with. A nice touch are the themed get togethers which create a sense of community amongst the residents. The entire Blvd team is top notch. I have been really happy with my experience at The Blvd so far. On top of the gorgeous, modern apartment with luxurious finishes, the building is beautiful, clean, and inviting. The Property Manager, Randy, has been very helpful and responsive. You can tell he takes pride in the community and in making it a great place for the residents here. Jeleisa in the leasing office has also been great and quick to answer any questions or needs. The maintenance staff is fantastic as well. Renters beware: I am a former tenant at the Blvd. Management at the Blvd has changed three times during my ten months there--it's crazy! The current manager, Andre Holgate, was recently extremely rude and unprofessional towards me. My husband and I had to vacate our apartment 2 months early due to out of state job relocation. Despite the fact that we pre-paid our entire rent in full before moving out, Blvd management has still chosen to be extremely rude and unhelpful towards us. They do not return calls. I have had to chase them all the time to get any answers to my questions. When I do finally get someone on the phone, they are very unhelpful and rude. Good luck dealing with these people at Village Green (the current property manager)--If you are considering renting here I suggest you look elsewhere. There are many other good options in the downtown Stamford area and it's just not worth having to deal with unhelpful and nasty management. I learned the hard way. read more

Insanely expensive for nothing!!! Avoid this property at all cost! Charges for everything!!! What you may or may not be told in advance is that you pay everything in addition to your rent. $60 amenities fees, $25 parking, $125 additional parking, $25 trash, $$$ water and sewer. You will be charged to no end. Windows freezing on the inside in the winter and you can hear every single car. There is actual ice on the inside and your electric bills to heat will be through the roof. I had to use and additional electric heater to feel the least bit comfortable. Management changed three times while I was leaving there and made mistakes on my contract twice. They have not been replying to emails addressing issues. They are unfriendly and very difficult to deal with. They say they will do things and unfortunately don't. One of them was nice - James - he is gone now. No community - the so called "Boulevard community" is really only a boulevard. When I was moving in I thought there will be events like in some of the other buildings in the area. The two events for about 15 months were a welcome party for a new manager and a barbecue to which no one showed up. The lounge is always empty - one of the reasons is that several TVs are on on different channels and music is playing and no one knows where the remotes are or how to operate the TVs. Move out. I left the entire apartment absolutely spotless - cleaner than it was when I moved in. They only returned $211 out of my $250 deposit for no reason. To be fair, the rooftop terrace is nice when the gas for the grills is on, which is often not the case. Jeff, the maintenance person is a good guy and Jose - the concierge during the week - is a sweetheart. All in all - save yourself the headache and move in somewhere else. read more

Bait and Switch: The building is charging a PREMIUM rent (which is being raised btw) and promised commensurate amenities, like a 24 hour doorman, rooftop access, and an in house coffee bar. The amenities are being striped away one by one, but the rent is going higher. The building looks great, but it is largely a facade - the fixtures are cheap (literally from Ikea) and the building staff is largely rude and unhelpful. Just try picking up a package from the doorman who's hours have been halved. The rooftop deck now has limited hours and the coffee bar, while open, rarely has coffee. The building was grossly negligent during the hurricane, leaving a forty foot banner loose during the storm and it damaged the outside wall of the building and broke several windows. They also essentially abandoned the tenants in the following days without electricity suggesting we find another place to live, which perhaps I should have done since the hallways were literally pitch black because there was no emergency power. The doors were left unlocked in the days after the storm with no security. I regret moving in here and recommend you avoid it. read more

Remember that the model with the new builds is to max out the tenancy and re-sell to another managing agent. Fast forward 3 years and with the turnover of the management companies the blvd is now in a clearer direction and has adept management staff as well as maintenance staff. The new management team has turned the building around which has stemmed the outflow of the original virgin tenants. To step across the road or south of i-95 to a newer build will demand a 20% delta on your rent, yes you will get a pool which will eventually be opened and a fresh smell of paint which will last a month. The trade off is the short to medium term. The buildings need occupancy to pay for the staff to care for it. The spreads on rentals to overpay and overstaff, over clean and over maintain a property do not get applied back for the benefit of the tenants unless it makes sense and is demanded. The Blvd management have clearly read reviews and have taken action. Every step change in management has seen improvement into the current phase which is second to none. The location works, the car park works and is monitored and enforced. The snow removal is a fact that will not go away, it will snow again, and if you park outside you will need to shovel your car. The only thing missing is a pool, which would gladly be received by the tenants. read more

I gave the the blvd 4 stars instead of five because I was here before the new management team took over. Having said that since the new management team has come into play and with the addition of James as the apartment manager it won't be too long before I give it 5! Any issues that were lingering have all been taking care of its definitely become one of the best buildings I have lived in from Manhattan to Stamford. I've lived in The BLVD for almost 4 years and it is been a great experience specially moving to a new place just by looking at pictures online. The property manager Michelle Munday is amazing and very helpful. She always addresses any concerns immediately, she cares about the resident and she makes an effort to get to know them. Do you hate your family? Well, then move them into The BLVD because misery is sure to follow! This place is a nightmare! The common areas are filthy and, just to make sure the scent matches the look, the wise management team at The BLVD have put the garbage rooms right next to the elevator. It's a dream-come-true for anyone who has ever longed to live side-by-side with a dumpster! That said, the trash rooms are the most pleasant-smelling part of the building because selfish residents make sure that the rest of the place perpetually smells like curry and weed. The floors and walls are paper thin, the air conditioners seem to be from the turn of the 20th Century and are about as loud as lawnmowers, and the parking spaces are big enough for your average motorcycle. In short, The BLVD is as close to North Korean government housing as you can find in the United States. Enjoy! read more

The Blvd is a great place to live. Great location and the staff is absolutely top notch, they really make the place feel like home. Michelle especially! She is so happy every time I see her, and is more than happy to help out with whatever I have needed. Her attention to detail is amazing!!! I mentioned to her in passing on Wednesday that I was excited for the weekend because my sister was coming to visit. I walked in on Friday (not remembering that I had even mentioned my sister to her) and Michelle had made arrangements for an extra parking spot for my sister for the weekend. That is just one example of the quality of service, and attention to detail that she and her team have shown me since I have lived here. Great place, great location, great people. read more

I've lived in The Blvd about 16 months now and have really enjoyed living here, thus I signed a lease for a new year over the summer. I've had two property managers, James and Michelle, and they have both been extremely accommodating. Michelle is the current property manager and has always helped me with everything I have needed whether it comes to searching for new roommates, questions, packages, etc. She has also been very good about creating community events for the residents to come to and hang out so everyone in the building can meet. The concierge, Jose, is so welcoming and always helpful to everyone around him. Over the past 16 months he has grown to become one of my friends and is more than helpful when it comes to helping with packages, getting phone numbers I may need, or helping out on the roof with lights/grills/music/fire pits and more. I have really enjoyed living here and am happy to have signed another year lease. read more

I've lived here for about 5 months. The experience has been a very positive one. The BLVD is a very nice place. Safe, great location. Walking distance to the train and many restaurants. The staff are wonderful and extremely accommodating. Parking is a bit challenging (spaces are small), but they are everywhere these days! The noise from the UCONN HVAC is noisy, but you soon get used to it. It's part of living in an urban setting. The apartment itself is great. I hear very little from my neighbors on any side. The sky lounge is wonderful and great to enjoy a glass of wine and grill dinner. The gym is small, but really what more do you need? It has the key equipment. And I enjoy the coffee bar regularly. It's a great place to call home. read more
