We moved back to Stamford after two years away in summer of 2020 during COVID-19 in full force. Charmaine really stood out for us during our housing/apartment search as she really went above and beyond before we even arrived back in CT by corresponding via email, calls, and text. After looking at three other properties and a few homes, we chose Element One. The amenities are great, such as a roof top area to lounge, pool table, corn hole, full outside kitchen/grilling stations (2), free coffee downstairs, workspace areas, state of the art gym, etc. Our lady who takes care of indoor cleaning is absolutely amazing. Really keeps us looking beautiful. The location is great as we are in downtown with parks, restaurants, theater, bars, a target and mall are all walkable. Access to I-95 and the Merritt Parkway are easily accessible. Rent with confidence. read more

Walls are thin, you can hear everything. Don't move here if you want peace. Parking is a mess. Even if you pay for parking, people park anywhere and sometimes you don't even have a spot!! Management is incompetent and very hard to reach. Even when you reach them, nothing is solved. If you have kids or pregnant, do NOT live here. You will have ZERO peace and you will not be happy coming "home" to this place. read more

Stay away. It's a Bozzuto managed company - with pretty much all the horror that goes with it. e.g. * If you don't park in your assigned area, they tow you. Except there aren't enough spaces in your assigned area, and you either park on the street (if you can), or get towed 'cos you parked elsewhere * Maintenance requests are hit-or-miss. Usually takes a couple of tries before they actually get done (oh, they'll *say* they did it, but good luck... I can go on, but shouldn't need to. If you have *any* choice other than a Bozzuto building, take it. (yes, we've stayed in a couple of Bozzuto buidlings. This isn't a one-off thing) read more

This is a few months late but I am so happy I chose to move into Element One! Charmaine was so helpful and knowledgeable when I went for my initial tour and very flexible with the move-in process as well. The building is beautiful with all of the standard amenities and then some. It's also in a great location that is close to downtown but still in a relatively quiet neighborhood. I absolutely love my apartment itself but it's the management team that really helps to create a welcoming and homey environment. read more

Overall this was a very good building. The building is clean, the apartments are a good size for the price, the location is good and the maintenance staff is great. The staff in the front office are also friendly and helpful. The negatives are that it is very easy to hear the neighbors above (which is probably not unusual in apartment buildings) and there is limited parking. In addition to the limited parking (there is a waitlist), several cars do not have stickers, which makes me think that the resident parking is either used by visiting guests or people in the neighborhood. So I would say that the office needs to be more aggressive about towing cars that do not belong. The management has dealt with COVID very well and masks are required to walk around public spaces in the building. read more

I Had the best of hopes however the staff and the way they handle problems such as trash management, package delivery and parking is atrocious. They sell 300$ parking passes to more residents than they have available parking spaces. The penalty for not parking in the correct location, (2nd floor, 1st floor, 1st floor covered, which all have separate stickers) is a mandatory towing, which costs you 500 dollars. This is a great example of the many ways in which they do not extend any sort of understanding accommodation, and yet we are forced to accommodate with there lack of cleaning staff, and the constant smell and puddle of dog urine. It is an unforgiving double standard and I refuse to pay another months rent to people who on-top of their shitty business practices; are just plain rude. I would recommend living here to zero people, but if your stuck with a dog...tough shit!!! lol! read more

My family was relocated here from North CaroLina recently and it is a big difference in the cost of living HOWEVER Element One has EVERYTHING a family or individual would ever need and is worth every dime! The fitness center is like a small Planet Fitness. The lobby has a coffee bar that actually has the best hot chocolate ever! There are a couple of fantastic conference rooms, lounge areas and a nice pool table as well as a beautiful area that offers a kitchen and full lounge area for private events. Covered parking along with garage parking options make this a top notch apartment home. Lastly, for those pet lovers they even offer a pet spa for your convenience! I have been here since September. The building is very clean and very nice. maintenance is very quick to respond. Amenities are great and very clean. I really like living at Element One, love the layout of the apartments. When I moved in it was clean and freshly painted. Downside: Parking is awful. I pay for outdoor parking and the spots are always full. If you come home past 6pm it is likely you will not get a spot. I think there should be assigned parking spots. Other downside is water pressure and low grade appliances. read more

The building is nice, including the gym and rooftop. The location is nice too, being technically downtown but not in the middle of it. The biggest downside, and I'm sure most ppl living here would agree, is how thin the walls are. It's impossible to sleep without a noise machine/earplugs because of the people upstairs, and sometimes that isn't enough. The building is dog friendly, which is awesome except for when there's one living above you. The ambulances coming from the hospital across the street can be startling but not terrible. I don't plan on renewing my lease and will look for a building that has better sound proofing/insulation. read more

We absolutely love living at Element One. The staff is super friendly and always there for you when you need any assistance. The apartments are fresh, clean and up to date with style. The amenities are great & we love using the gym, outdoor roof area in the summer and all the community activities they promote. ELEMENT ONE IS A BELOW AVERAGE PLACE TO LIVE!!! Element One property managers are constantly sending long emails about what is bugging them on a particular day- noise, smells, dogs, parking.... I don't want to hear their opinions. I think they are confusing themselves with the police. EO Community, We'd like to kindly remind all residents and occupants of our community quiet hours. Quiet hours begin at 10pm and end at 8am daily. For example: we want all residents to enjoy their apartment home as they see fit but please be conscious of your neighbors. Residents should be considerate at all times of upstairs, downstairs, and adjacent neighbors, as excessive and unreasonable noise, sound, and odors will most likely affect the persons living immediately above, below, or next to a resident's apartment. read more

Filled with friendly people, Element One is a great place to call home. Built in 2016, the sunlight filled, modern apartments feature large Pella Windows, manufactured wood floors, Berber carpeting and white modern kitchens/baths with quartz countertops. Soft-close drawers throughout. The roof deck Sky Lounge is a great place to hang out. Manning the first floor complex of 24/7 fitness center, conference room for residents, demonstration kitchen, bar and offices are Jack, Tania, Raquel, Jamie and Greg. I moved in with my family a couple of weeks ago. Thus far, it has been a wonderful experience. The apartment and easy living make it feel like you are away on vacation. I've lived in Stamford almost all my life and I don't feel I am in Stamford (I love Stamford), everything is so unique. Having been busy unpacking, I haven't made use of all the amazing amenities, but I plan to ASAP. It is a very quiet and friendly building. We absolutely love living at Element One! The modern characteristics of the apartment building are exactly what we were looking for. We also face the West and have the most spectacular view of the sunset each day. Another great aspect of living here is we are just a short walk to downtown, but are just outside the hustle and bustle enough to have peace and quiet when stepping onto our balcony. I chose element one for the location so close to downtown that you can still walk and go out to eat but it's less noisy. I love the pet spa and how dog friendly the building is. Bozzuto Management has since brought back the concierge on a limited bases and increased the hours of the cleaning crew. I'm thankful for the changes, its just too bad it takes lots of resident backlash for them to do the right thing. read more

Can verify we were tenants here. Very recent change in ownership/rental staff so am hoping things will improve for current and future tenants. First: noise- the building looks nice, but is poorly constructed- thin walls-sub-par appliances (kitchens are big though-which was nice) and fire alarms trip simply because the micro-hood exhaust fan is anemic and the fire-alarm is placed too closely to the kitchen. If you are in any apartment directly under the common terrace or adjacent to it-expect foot noise and party noise in general during it's open season. Make sure you unit's master bedroom does not have someone else's terrace over you-as there is zero insulation and the noise is unreal. If you face the street-expect to be woken all hours by either ambulances/sirens or noisy neighbors from adjacent buildings. Also, people forget they are in a building shared with other people and partying-especially those with terraces can go late/loud. While one should expect some noise in apartment living-had this been constructed more solidly, one might not hear partying from 3 stories down. Also- on windy days the noise in the hall can be disconcerting- and the doors rattle every time anyone in an apartment nearby enters/leaves theirs. At $3500+ for a 2 bedroom-those types of things just shouldn't even be an issue. Parking is horrible for the amount of rent they charge. There needs to be gated entry/exit to prevent interlopers from nearby buildings. Good luck during a snowstorm or if you arrive later in the evening. Amenities- almost non-existent for the monthly fee- especially when things like elevators, coffee maker and large capacity washers are out of service. Should note that the concierges and repair staff were wonderful. While we loved the convenience of the location, all of the negatives completely detracted from our ability to enjoy living there and resulted in our looking to move earlier than we had intended. Enjoy living here! Everyone is very accommodating and professional . Service is outstanding for all aspects of apartment living. After living in various new buildings in Stamford we find Element One has a different feel with great floor plans and distinct touches that are appreciated. We even upgraded to a larger unit. read more
