We loved our 2 years at postmark. We love the property, the location, and the layout. However, postmark consistently raised our 1BR prices over $400 over the course of 2 years. This is not ethical considering how the housing crisis just gets worse and worse. New tenants will get better deals than you will on your own unit. They almost encourage you to move out with the pricing. So if postmark is on the upper end of your budget, they will for sure increase everything your next lease. I would like to shout out the front desk staff. They are literally incredible people and all of them deserve more money from this shit company (cushman and wake) that runs this place. The staff is amazing. Corporate BS in the housing market ruined it for us tho. If they didn't price us out, we would stay for another year or 2. read more

Management blocked me from responding to the response he put up. Again when you have to defend yourself, and block me from responding directly, you know you have done the wrong thing. Its something to be said about hiding behind emails and phone calls, but the CONVERSATION WE HAD is not on record because I believed in good faith that he would return my deposit in full as he agreed to do...., and POSTMARK DID NOT DO THE RIGHT THING AND PAY ME BACK MY SECURITY DEPOSIT. I will continue to advocate for myself and anyone that has been lied to with this Management Team at POSTMARK APARTMENTS. I will also reach out to fair housing to reveal everything that has happen to me. AGAIN DO NOT MOVE HERE, See pictures below I left the apartment FLAWLESS.... I will post pictures of how I received the apartment. Keep in mind Cush Wake was not fully operational with the building at the time I moved in,. so again I'm being honest, showing grace and accepted the apartment as is. I want to let everyone know upfront that the management company will comment on this post and saw "We'Ve TrIeD tO rEmEdY yOuR cOmPlAiNtS." They're full of the biggest shit imaginable. Keep reading. I moved in at the end of June and was stoked to live in harbor point for all it has to offer. I had seen the building and a unit within it one year prior. It was ~fine, but not at all luxury. I sucked up the shoddy cabinetry for the neighborhood. Joke was on me from day 1, though. The moveable island was OUTSIDE on the balcony before I moved in. Matt (leasing) Mecca (prior prop mgr) assured me a new island would be placed in my unit. It wasn't. In September, I complained of the taste of mold in my water, the presence of black mold FLAKING OFF every water spout in the apartment, and in my shower. Only the kitchen sink was looked at and the spout was allegedly replaced. I complained in December (I would have complained sooner had I not been out of town due to a death in my family in November). Maintenance (Charlie, a self-acclaimed former plumber) told me that the mold taste in my water is "just Connecticut water" and that it tastes like mold. I'm sorry, all the water in Connecticut tastes like mold?! Wow, 3 years living in CT prior to this and many friends living in CT for MUCH longer, & not one of us has ever tasted mold in the water but ALL of Connecticut's water tastes like mold? Couldn't be the pipes in the building, no way. I was promised a new shower head in December because it was flaking with black mold and to-date NEVER got one. Not me just showering myself in mold for 9 months. My windows and my toilet tank were condensating since October. The maintenance team looked at the toilet and said "haha, it's sweating", tightened a bolt in the tank, and left. Plot twist, the toilet kept running afterword. Nothing was looked at for the windows. In January, I submitted an EMERGENCY maintenance request for an overflowing toilet at 6pm. No one came to my unit until 10pm or later (I have the time stamps). Because of the condensation on the windows, black mold accumulated on the window sills. Maintenance came to clean the wooden window sill in the bedroom AND LEFT THE MOLD ON THE METAL WINDOW SILL IN THE LIVING ROOM FOR A MONTH! The building's cleaners came to clean it off A MONTH LATER. Not me still just living in and breathing in mold for months. Best part about that was it was the property management company's own cleaners and they couldn't schedule them to clean MOLD for a full month?? Living with mold is already a health hazard, not to mention I have asthma & allergies. Easter weekend, my bathroom flooded again. Charlie, the self-acclaimed plumber, came back to fix it and instead FLOODED my closet. How you gonna hire a former plumber for plumbing work & he makes the problem worse? After Vincent Harris (current property manager), was GASLIGHTING me for weeks about my complaints, Nothing. Happened. The toilet was replaced but the bathroom kept flooding. It took the regional manager, Javier, to step in to say "hEy GuYs, maybe it's a PiPe LeAk." The man who doesn't do any maintenance or plumbing work could figure it out but the guys hired to do the job couldn't? Sure enough, they found a leak in a ceiling pipe. YOU MEAN I WAS TELLING THE TRUTH ABOUT FLOODING?! Wild. Too bad ~Mr. Harris~ still won't believe it. Side note, the building bathrooms near the gym not only are across the building, one has a door that doesn't lock, they're constantly out of soap, and the one with a door lock doesn't have a hand dryer or towels. Instead of the hotel room I requested while my unit was uninhabitable, he put me in a ground floor unit with a gap at the bottom of the door where ants were getting in and a CARPET BEETLE INFESTATION. Think: bed bugs, but instead of biting you, they eat all your clothes, furniture, fabrics. I told Vincent I wanted a room booked for me for two more days until I could get the fuck out of dodge. I have two emotional support pets. If you don't know this, CT apartmentS can't charge pet fees for ESAs. Bro got me a hotel room and refused to pay the pet fee for my animals. Where were they supposed to go?! If the property manager can't charge me for ESA pets in the apartment complex, & the property management company's shortcuts are the sole reason my pets are also displaced, hotel pet fees are not my responsibility. Thanks, Postmark, for infesting my life in the worst way possible and still charging me for rent after handing in my keys and a month ago and being unable to live there since March. 10/10 recommend LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. I am a resident at Postmark apartments in Stamford, Connecticut and have been here since 2015. You get no help or customer service from Vanesa Saez, the assistant manager in the Postmark leasing office. Vanesa's lack of professionalism, rude comments, nasty attitude and gross incompetence is shocking. If exceeding residents expectations is at the core of Postmark's values then you should not allow Vanesa to continue representing the Postmark Team. I know Postmark prides it self on exemplary customer satisfaction and Vanesa is not doing her job. She does nothing! She does not help with service, does not return emails, does not fix billing problems. She write the lease agreement wrong and it takes months for her to correct it. Worst employee at Postmark!! Just thought I would update my review of Postmark. I've been here for months now, and still going strong. The things I have grown to love: - Walking to necessities. I can walk to the grocery store (which also has a liquor store attached), Fortina (pizza place), CVS or Walgreens, and Bareburger just opened (which I love). I look forward to the Lobster place opening soon because I'll basically live there. I take my car out once a week, and it's only because I do my major grocery run at Trader Joes in Darien. - Walking to the train station. So far the weather has been mild, so I've chosen to walk rather than take the trolley when I have to go to NYC. It takes me maybe 10 minutes? Awesome not having to worry about parking (or paying for parking) at the train station when I have meetings in the city. The express train takes about 45 minutes into Grand Central. - The Concierge. So far, getting my daily paper or packages (many over the holidays) has been awesome. I get notifications when my paper is here or a package has arrived - and it's really convenient. - Responsiveness. We had a door latch break, and it was repaired in less than 48 hours. It might have been even faster if I had been home for other available times. - The Marina. When I first moved here, I really loved the park outside especially for my dog...but I've grown to appreciate how cool it is to be able to walk and see the boats. - Paying Online. You can pay your rent online, and communications are really easy if you're a busy person. The things that annoy me periodically: - Elevators can be slow at certain times. Usually when people are going to work or arriving home...so I don't fault them for that. - The use of space in the units is odd once you live there. For example, I'd rather not have an *enormous* bathroom and have a bigger space for dining. The things that have surprised me: - We both work from home, and this place is remarkably quiet. This could be different from floor to floor, but mine has been great so far. For the amount of dogs that live here, I rarely hear a dog barking...which could also be due to the concrete between the units, not sure. - People remember you. I know they deal with a lot of people, but Kelly (one of the leasing agents) is awesome. She remembered my dog, where I live, and who I live with...same could be said for the concierge. It's kind of a nice touch in such a big building. There's a lot of negative reviews (usually around leasing terms) so I'd do two things: 1. Talk to people who actually live here when/if you visit. It's what I did, and it made me really consider a lot of things. I don't have any affiliation with this place, but I really have appreciated what it has to offer. 2. Make sure you have a solid leasing agent - schedule with Kelly. If you check it out, I'd be sure to schedule with Kelly (my former leasing woman is no longer there)...I've had nothing but great experiences with her, and she's been nothing but honest and straight forward with us. My husband and I have lived here 4 years, in two different apartments. Overall we like it here. The biggest pull keeping us here is honestly one staff member--Marisol. Marisol is friendly, knowledgable, efficient, smart, and reliable. She is always happy and honest, and handles every situation with the utmost professionalism. We heard she might move, and the entire building went into an uproar! Marisol was out for a long period of time from an injury, and the entire front desk operational system was completely out of sorts and a muck. It wasn't until she returned that things smoothly were back in order. If she left, we, and many couples we know, we surely abruptly leave. Many have come and gone, and offer varying amounts of helpfulness, but the only constant shining star is Marisol! read more

We have been living at Postmark since November and the amenities are always broken or under repair. For example, there are 4 treadmills and 3 of them have been broken for the last month. The leasing office staff will always tell you they have called the vendor, or they are under repair or they are working on it, but this is an ongoing problem. Be sure to check out the equipment, including grills and fire pit areas before you decide to live here; although, the place looks nice, most are broken or problematic, including the residence elevator, which has been under repair more often than working. It's an ongoing nightmare! On the positive side, the folks who live here are very nice, though the place is overrun with dogs! read more

I have lived in Postmark for several years now and unfortunately it went from a beautiful building with a strong community to an absolute disaster. Every time I see a leasing tour I want to warn those poor people not to live here. They blatantly lie on these tours (they do not clean the gym hourly) and they advertise amenities which are often unusable (the outdoor TVs and 301 side fire pit have never worked). When you ask for a fix it takes forever if you're lucky. You are more likely to have your email ignored or get a generic "we are so sorry for that and we want to make it right" email. Currently we are dealing with flooded garages, no elevator service and all they are focusing on is locking pool gates to make sure you have to go in one door to get your band checked. And that's just this weekend. They have yet to fix the 2 broken fire pits and you have to turn the grills on with a lighter. After a Facebook group discussed the issue of mice in the grills it took them a week to announce it and I'm still hesitant to consider using them again. Mind you, these are just SOME of the problems over the summer. There have been many other issues since the pandemic began. Postmark used to be great but it's unfortunately have gone down hill. I have only been living here for a few months. But so far it has been a good experience. I love the pool views from my 10th Floor apartment. Everyone is friendly. Finch Living hosts activities on a weekly basis which helps to convey an overall sense of community. The concierge & management office is helpful. My move in process was straightforward & not as daunting as it had been in previous Apartments. It is a five minute walk to Stamford's Metro North Station & within 50 minutes you are in Grand Central. The lobby, outdoor garden area, pool & community room are well maintained. The Harbor with all the boats & activities is beautiful during the summer months. CONS: It is pricey to live here. But the prices are in line with the newer Apartments in Stamford. There is no overnight guest parking. Typically you can find parking spots on the streets. But BLT is building new apartment communities all over Harbor Point so who knows how long it will last. Living in the Postmark Apartments thus far has been a pleasant experience overall & I do recommend it. read more

Our moving company was giving us incorrect information and curve balls almost everyday, but thankfully the Postmark leasing office was super accommodating every step of the way and made our lives so much easier during a super stressful time. I seriously can't thank them enough for being so responsive and flexible with us over the last few weeks!!! We unfortunately had to move for work but if we could have stayed another few years we definitely would have. P.S. I don't live there, but was considering doing so last year. The place seemed nice enough, but the employees are just terribly unprofessional and clueless. The concierge was perhaps the worst. When trying to contact the leasing office, you would often get the concierge who always semed bothered by your call, never offered to take a message and just suggested calling back. Really? "They are here til 6pm, so just call back." When? "I don't know." Do you want to take my number and have them call me? "It's probably best if you call back". If they are that committed to treat their prospective tenants like crap, I can't imagine that it gets any better once you sign the lease. Think long and hard before you believe anything that any staff member at this apartment complex tells you. My wife and I, both professionals, had the unfortunate experience of visiting the Postmark Apartment and submitting a rental application (we were approved) before withdrawing it and renewing our lease in NYC. Our experience: Encouraging we out-of-towners to "reserve" an apartment before we could pay a visit, the leasing agent either intentionally or negligently misrepresented the cancellation fee. She said the deposit was $500 and if we chose not to rent, we'd lose the deposit proportionately over time during the reservation period. Not so. Per the actual cancellation policy, in fine print on the lengthy application form, the deposit is forfeited nearly automatically PLUS you are charged rent for the period prior to cancellation (despite that the building is not close to capacity). We challenged the excess charges with the apartment manager, who then lied and said he had logs or recordings of calls in which we expressly agreed to the more draconian charges. When pressed, he refused to produce any documentation but threatened us with negative credit reporting if we didn't pay. So, that's your landlord -- the same as receives the litany of negative reviews for the Yale & Towne apartments. On the plus side, the building is in the midst of a sketchy neighborhood: the wife and I were harassed by a hooligan on our way back to the Stamford train station at 6:30 p.m., and a later Google search uncovered Stamford's only homicide of 2014 as being an execution-style slaying on the street a block from the building. But hey, the Pain Quotidien and Dinosaur BBQ are within walking distance! Renters will make their own decisions, but caveat emptor doesn't even begin to describe it. read more

I called the office at 301 Commons Park and they had no idea what I was talking about. I re-explained all my issues to the property manager at this location and sent all the proper documentation (again!) and haven't heard anything back after 3 weeks. I have not one complaint. You are definitely getting what you pay for at this building. Very clean, the units are spacious, and there is always an event going on. Worst living experience I had to deal with. The staff was impossible to reach at all times and my time there was ridiculously expensive for a low quality apartment (with an even worse view) and included a lot of errors (Over 2 months to get parking space included in my lease, erroneous incorrect charges, etc.) Upon moving out I thought my experience couldn't get worse but it took nearly two months to get my security deposit check back as they repeatedly sent to an incorrect address. My boyfriend, dog, and I have been very impressed by Postmark after living here for about one week. Our leasing agent, Dakota, made the entire moving process smooth, despite limitations due to COVID. He always answered questions we had prior to move-in in a timely manner and went out of his way to accommodate our requests. In fact, the entire leasing office is extremely helpful and friendly. If trying to get ahold of a leasing agent is any indication of what it's like living here, I'd say run for the hills. I've spent all week just trying to get an appointment to see apartments. I literally have sent 3 emails through the website (which, even though they ask questions end with "This is an auto-generated email. Please do not reply to this email," and no contact e-mail or phone for the leasing agent, Rebecca), and have called no fewer than 5 times. The first and second times I called, I went through two different menus asking if I wanted leasing information, then when I pressed "1" for leasing on the second menu it took me to, it gave me a "this number is no longer in service" message. I tried again the following day. I pressed "1" at the first menu, someone picked up then hung up the phone. I tried calling back again, "all circuits are busy." Now, I just tried calling one more time, and after pressing "1" at the first menu, the call disconnected. Like I said, if it's this difficult to get someone on the phone just to TALK about renting apartments and scheduling an appointment, I can only imagine how terrible it must be if you actually rent from them! read more

In my time here at Postmark apartments I really have to say my husband and I have been so pleased with the manner in which any concerns of ours have been handled by Dakota and the rest of the leasing office staff. Any questions we've had regarding amenities, maintenance, moving and rent have been answered in a timely and professional manner. In this crazed time we find ourselves with so much uncertainty I feel that the team at the helm is handling everything to the best of their abilities and doing a great job at that! My husband and I lived here one year, the apartment and staff were great. We lived on the 11th floor had a great water view from our balcony. It was quite never ever has a noise issue. The grounds are well maintained and cleaned daily. Never had any maintenance issues however they have a full team onsite should anything arise. Diana at the front desk is a true asset to the complex! Tim and Eric's reviews are accurate. They're staff is mistake prone, accusatory, and lacking professionalism. Much of the Harbor Point area is managed by the same company, BLT. The company is privately owned, primarily by two brothers. Delayed returns on their continued investments have resulted in renting where buyers were initially intended and buildings are having trouble filling up, clearly for good reason. They're beautiful gentrified properties, surrounded by run down homes. The location is great for the train, just don't let the trolley be a selling point for commuters, it's practically useless for that. read more

I've been living at Postmark for a while now and love the building and the community. Everyone is so friendly and Vanessa in the leasing office is always so helpful. When you have a maintenance request, staff is very fast to address the issue. The area is full of life. The building and Harbor Point offer exercise classes and special events for residents in the community. It's in a great location too! read more

We lived in postmark for 2 years, which was 2 years too long. The list of complaints are long. The elevators on the 301 side are routinely out of service, at one point for over a month, the elevators are slow to begin with, not maintained and in poor condition, leading to their frequent breakdown. The parking garage (which you must pay for) door rarely works, and was out of service and permanently up for weeks on end, and was not fixed when we moved out. The RFid remote to get into the garage rarely worked, ours have to be replaced on 4 separate occasions. The apartments in general have the veneer of high end, but the counters are all plastic and flooring laminate. The carpets are old, unwashed and disgusting. We asked ours to be cleaned when we moved in, they just said no. The washing machine likewise was disgusting, and management would not replace the seal. This was when you could get management to return your calls, which was almost never the case. The hallway carpets are disgusting, stained and horrific, yet are never replaced. Many apartments in the building are now being used as airbnb stays (confirmed by the front desk) so weekends in postmark are particularly bad, with parties everywhere, empty beer cans in hallways, spilled wine everywhere and the police being called almost every weekend. People smoke everywhere, even though management sent out several emails not to, you can just look on a balcony at night and see all the smokers. During the summer months there is a pool, but because neighborhood children sneak in through the broken garage, its more like a police state where you have to constantly prove you live where you do, and are treated like a criminal in your own home. the gym is small, and i don't think once in two years of living there all the elliptical and treadmills were working. there's always at least one of two out for repair and even though everyone pays for the gym, there is never any urgency to fix anything at postmark, ever. This includes 2 water pipe breaks while we were there, as well as countless other things. The building was build with the cheapest materials possible, and its age shows. You can try and contact the leasing office, but honestly they are the worst to deal with. they don't return your calls, and once you sign a lease, nothing is a priority for them about fixing anything. Avoid this place. You might think you're paying for luxury living, but you'll find it's anything but. read more

My husband and I lived for two years at Postmark. The building is kept immaculate and the residents are friendly, many of whom are dog owners. One problem started at the end of our first year lease. Our leasing agent Kelley-who is no longer there-promised us one month free rent if we took a handicapped apartment. We were disappointed to learn that she never put it in writing so we lost out. We recently moved out and what happened to our security deposit should caution you. If you want to hang pictures on the wall, DON'T. They charged us for the tiny holes even though we fixed them. And if you have a bed or couch that has legs and makes dents in the carpet DON'T use that furniture. They will send you pictures of the non permanent dents and claim they are unfixable. They even ripped the carpet out before we had a chance to see the problem and then sent us a bill. They returned a fraction of our deposit. The best part of the building is leasing agent Vanessa. Pros: Building is kept spotless and the maintenance team does a great job of responding to requests pretty quickly. Front desk staff is friendly. The pool and surrounding deck is a great asset, especially in Stamford where it is not too common. Access to the train is great. Cons: I mentioned the maintenance team being great.... but on the other hand, this building is brand new and I had so many things (out of my control) break including the water heater, thermostat, blinds, refrigerator, etc.... kind of ridiculous is a new building. Also, the neighborhood is not great and is one of the more dangerous neighborhoods in Stamford. Leading office staff is not friendly and they don't care about you after you sign the lease. This is the worst place to live. The apartments are beautiful, but don't be fooled. About 200 units are section 8, lowest of low income requirements. You can have 6 unrelated people in a 2 br with a combined income of $32k/yr paying $1200/mo for a $4500 unit. There have been fights in the lobby, the common room was trashed, someone threw up in the pool, someone was stabbed. The doors don't lock. There is never anyone at the front desk and management doesn't care. They say they do not have to provide security yet when you take the tour they talk about all the security features.... they don't exist. read more

Postmark used to be a well-run building, and I used to LOVE living at Postmark. Well not since the new Pinnacle Management took over. Now the hallways are dirty, the trash rooms are constantly overflowing with trash, the elevators smell of baked garbage in the heat, the hallways and lobby are hot and sticky, the furnishings in the lobby and lounge have been replaced with mismatched pieces of furniture designed for children - there are literally bean-bag chairs in the tenant lounge room! They are also terrible to deal with when your lease comes up for renewal, they doubled the parking spot cost, raised the amenities charge, refused to negotiate at all, and then dropped the rents for other apartments that are the same plan by like $300 a month. Postmark Apartments seems like a wonderful luxury building, until you move in. That's when you realize that even though your apartment "looks" nice, it's still in the ghetto and there are ghetto people everywhere, inside and outside the building. Every weekend there is some club or neighbor blasting deep bass music, so the walls are just reverberating. Then the concierge (who are sometimes pretty incompetent themselves) tells you they can't do anything about it, and the police are just stupid and don't know what to do. And mind you, this is EVERY WEEK. Your living space does look nice, until you realize how cheap the cabinets really are as they start peeling after a couple of months of use, and the caulking around the tub disappears and mildew grows everywhere. On the plus side, it is an easy commute via train, and the backyard area is nice to hang out in during summer. But I couldn't wait to leave after 6 months. Well, only 6 months to go. read more
