Made a return trip to the BLVD with my wife yesterday to see if we had a better experience and it was much better. First and foremost Isiah's customer service skills are outstanding, he addressed all of the issues we ran into last time and was thorough in letting me know about things and offering us a game card to make up for how many games were down last time. There are still some games down but considerably less than the last time we visited and they are waiting on backordered parts which is something everyone is dealing with right now due to supply issues so it's not that big of a deal. We had a great time playing the games that were available. The food was night and day better than last time. The cheese sticks were far less greasy and just a touch of salt really brought out some great flavor. I tried the wings again, this time with the spicy garlic sauce and they were delicious. No more dirty oil/burnt taste to them, the sauce was fantastic and the wings were well cooked. My wife had a prickly pear-tini and a Bakersfield Sunset, she really enjoyed both drinks. The only small issue I saw other than some games still being down is the menus were really dirty. We sat at one table and both menus had dried food all over them, one had a big spot of garlic or something right on the cover so we moved tables. The second table the menus looked like a drink or something was spilled on them, the pages were sticking together. The Blvd is your ultimate entertainment venue. When I visit Bakersfield I have to bring the family here. Arcade games are so fun, laser tag is neat, and the atmosphere is lively. Perfect for your younger and older family. The manager, Joe, is always ensuring top-notch entertainment quality. He helped me when my kiddo lost her card. He was able to remake her lost card and didn't make me feel stupid! Ask for Joe Cruze if you are looking to have the best experience at a family venue you'll ever have. Deseree, was our server at this first time visit to the boulevard in Bakersfield, California. My future grandson turned four and she treated him like a little king. He flew high as he ran around the place in his Superman outfit, but spent most this time at the Mario video game. Before started with a little bit of a meal variety of kids dishes, fish, and chips that were super crunchy and delicious and moist. Tater tots that had a lovely garlic cheese sauce on it and what was really unusual was a jalapeño stuffed wonton as you've bit into it, it would ooze out the side. I was expecting more jalapeños so they weren't as spicy as I thought they would be. The building was full of teenagers maybe a church group or something they were very respectful and stayed with their own. Pleasantly surprised. Popped in to talk to someone about a fundraiser and stayed for lunch. It was Veterans Day so it was a little busier than usual I guess, but since I've never been here I wasn't sure if it was or just a normal day but anyways onto the food. Trisha/Tricia our server was outstanding. At times she seemed a little hurried but to her credit checked in on us more than once while we were eating and kudos to her for being attentive to her customers. Food came out pretty quick and with good temperature. Food was good. Garlic/cheesy sticks were lacking on the garlic and cheesy - they were more like bread sticks. Maybe I read the menu wrong. The marinara was not your typical boring sauce. It was tangy and very good. Fish n' chips were on point. Burger was very good and cooked perfectly, maybe a little more BBQ on it would be nice. Came here on a Saturday at 11:30 am. Was greeted promptly by Giselle who took my order. I usually order naked traditional wings and fries. I don't know why I changed it up and ordered Korean BBQ flavored wings and sweet potato fries. Presentation of wings and sweet potato fries looked delicious. I was expecting a sweet and sesame taste but I received a mouthful of saltiness (tasted more like soy garlic). After scraping off the sauce on a drummette, I took a bite into the wing and realized it was under cooked. Hopefully I won't have a tummy ache tonight (fingers crossed). I took a piece of sweet potato and was expecting crisp and sweet but got salty and soggy! I let Giselle know that service was great but the flavors and textures were off! The food here is decent. I've had the Cobb salad and the gluten free pizza. The salad was decent and the pizza was edible. The burgers looked good. They have great looking drinks and desserts as well. Staff, for the most part, are very friendly and helpful. The place is really clean, both the restaurant and game area. We've come for both lunch and games, and for 2 different parties for our kids. The parties were nice and our guests enjoyed them, but I'm not sure I'd do it again because of the pricing. It's s lot of money and would have been worth it, but they make you pay per person and you are locked in to a certain number you are in a contract to pay even if you don't know who is coming yet. And they said you cannot add anyone that you did not already account for, and if someone extra shows up they would likely not be admitted past the number we contracted, even if we paid. So we had to pay for everyone who could possibly show up, at roughly $30 per person and only half showed up. That cost us $500 extra that went to waste. The host at the last party was not attentive or helpful either. She was nice though. All in all, nice place and the kids love it. read more

We had the best birthday party there for my Dad's 77th! The food was so good- we got the loaded fries, sliders, and blooming onion. The adults and kids had a great time bowling, and we were able to distract the little ones in the arcade. They let us bring in our own birthday cake and the drinks were well priced. One of the nicest family-friendly places in Bakersfield. Activities for all family members to enjoy, regardless of age. Although it's not cheap, you get what you pay for--it's fun, clean, and safe. Given that The Blvd is essentially a grown up Chuck E Cheese, I didn't expect much from their food or drinks - but boy was I wrong classifying it as Chuck E Cheese status. The nachos were better than most restaurants and the dry rub bone-in wings we ordered were some of the best wings I've ever had! The specialty cocktails are super tasty and reasonably priced. They are made with fresh ingredients and even the mocktails are good (and for only $4). Service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Definitely pleasantly surprised by this place. read more

this place is super fun! i went with a small group of friends for bowling. it was $35 for the hour which wasn't bad! we didn't try the food so i don't have a rating for that, but the service left a little to be desired. the ambiance was pretty loud but that's a given for a bowling alley. they also had a big arcade and a ropes course so there's a lot to do! This is for the food only. Excellent hamburger with fries for $15.45 plus tax. Good size for both and between the two you won't need more food for a while. And of course the taste is good. I highly recommend it. Also had the pina colada which kind is a large smoothie with some alcohol. If you have that you won't be able to finish the fries and burger so space it out if you're bowling or playing pool or other games. Nice place, sort of noisy (obviously) and good casino-type experience for those not old enough to go to a money-type one. Here you play for points or tickets that can be exchanged for prizes. Today was the first time I have ever been to the BLVD. We bowled for a couple of hours. I got the summer salad and chose the cranberry vinegarette. The salad was so good! And the chicken was juicy and tasted so fresh. My husband got the kickn' chicken and he enjoyed it as well. I don't remember the name of our waitress but she was kind and attentive. As you walk in you are greeted by the host, and also have the reserve desk next to it. If you need a card for games get them at the reserve desk. They have some arcade games, bowling, laser tag, and Bungie walking above the crowd. The bowling alley in the back is very nice, good music and good service. Any time i stopped someone for help they were so nice. They also have party rooms and they were very attentive to our needs, even though we are away from the crowds. I didn't try an alcoholic beverage but the bar was truly busy. We ordered the chicken tenders and an order of nacho fries. The fries were perfectly cooked and tasted amazing. My son crushed the chicken tenders before i could try it. But him being a picky eater, i knew it had to be good. It's a good place to have a party. read more

Had a large party, when we got the bill there was an automatic 18% gratuity added, which is expected for a large party. What I did not expect was, when the waitress returned with may card they had added a place for additional gratuity percentages, also fine with me, however the gratuity percentages were based on the total ticket amount which included the original gratuity. You pay gratuity on the gratuity. If I would have missed this and paid the 20% it would have equated a total 40% gratuity. The food was fine and the service was fine but this is shady. read more

I'd like to update my review. This place is really cool in Bakersfield. The parking lot is shared with a tire shop, so the parking can get a little packed for Bakersfield. the venue is huge and has a lot to offer. Let me start off by saying there's plenty of things for everyone, there's plenty of bars, games, bowling, pool tables. etc. This place is huge! I' haven't gotten a chance to explore the whole BLVD, but I've enjoyed my time eating, drinking, playing and playing games. They also have an indoor laser tag and roof top tight rope walking type of thing for the kids. They also have a shuffleboard if you're into playing. There's plenty of t.v.'s everywhere which is so nice! Reminds me of BWW or Dave and Busters. I got the double burger with hawaiian style bun, and it was the best! It came with crispy fries which were the best better than Macdonalds fries, I ordered a drink with it too. All the games are operated off a game card, which you can buy and add credits on it from Kiosk machine. Very easy to use and so convenient! Our server seemed to rush us to order and didn't check up on us, but overall, you have to check this place out. read more

We came here today to celebrate my son's birthday, he's been asking to play laser tag and we saw they had it here. They have a decent week day special and we played two games, it was a blast. I'd read some complaints about the set up so we were unsure how it'd go- but it was really fun, clean and a great setup. We had quite a few people playing and I'd definitely not describe the play area as a hallway like someone else did. The girls working were great and patient. We also bowled, After shoes and bowling it was $50 for six of us to play 2 games, average pricing compared to other places. The original plan was to leave after and go to john's incredible pizza, but the games and food were reasonably priced so we just stayed. The games and area are clean and well kept. Came out this Saturday with the family to enjoy a nice birthday lunch with my family. First of all the parking is horrible, then you walk into the place a whole other chaos. No lines or signs telling people where to go or stand the lines are so long. Their should also be a limit of entry. It was so packed Like a can of sardines . Anyways found a dirty table while walking around, they cleaned it up once we sat down. We placed order and our food came out quick but we had to flag a waiter down to get refills on drinks and condiments. This was ridiculous our waitress who took our order never came back . We've been here a few times for scheduled parties and random gatherings. It is loud. That's it. That's the review lol. They have s fun and pretty extensive food menu plus a whole restaurant inside. There's a 4-sided bar in the middle and a bowling alley in the back. They have shoes to rent for the bowling area. If you're there for a party or want to purchase them, you can get a card with tokens for games. They are loud. Like so so loud. Anyone with sound sensitivities will absolutely be overstimulated. It's not my go-to but it's fun a couple times a year. 6/10 will return. read more
