I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback from my visit this evening. First and foremost, I want to recognize Alexis, who was absolutely amazing. She was attentive, kind, and handled everything with such professionalism despite clearly being given a lot of responsibility. She truly stood out and made our experience better. I did notice that she was responsible for distributing food, handing out sodas and waters, and assisting guests all at once. It seemed like she was being pulled in many directions while other staff were not stepping in to support her. From a guest perspective, it felt like a missed opportunity -- not only for efficiency and service flow, but also for her personally. Alexis has the personality and skill set of a strong bartender, and it seemed like she wasn't being utilized in a way that allows her (or the business) to maximize her strengths or earning potential. She was essentially serving waters and sodas while having the ability to provide full bar service, which would benefit both her and the establishment. My intention in sharing this is truly positive. Alexis is a fantastic employee and clearly cares about the guests and the establishment. Supporting team members like her and ensuring responsibilities are balanced among staff would likely improve both customer experience and employee satisfaction. I forgot to take pictures!! What a fun place to stay cool under Bakersfield 100° plus degree heat . Best place to book a lane is through the bowlero call center, they will send you a link for payment, and BOOM ! YOU'RE officially booked for a bowling lane! Customer service was on point ... the server checked on us on a regular. They even have a little arcade to distract you while waiting for your turn to bowl. They have a pretty decent looking bar and some delectable bar foods. Pizza, fries, I think I even saw mozzarella sticks on the menu. To start off just wanted to say that my family and I ultimately did have fun. We had a great time and for the price it was worth it. We visited on a Sunday night. Place was not busy at all and there seemed to be 2 bartenders, two staff members, and one manger working. There are a few things I think would really help the business improve: To start off the customer service is below par, you don't get greeted or talked to unless you start the conversation off first. During our entire visit about 2.5 hours no one came and checked on us or ask us anything. Bartender was the only staff member who wore a smile and was extremely friendly throughout the visit. I would say some table touches by management or maybe having one person on the floor talking to people could not only generate more money but also better experiences. Usually I'm not the type to need most interactions when going places but this place definitely lacked it by a lot. Concerning the overall cleanliness of the building it also could have been a lot better. Restrooms were fairly clean but the tables themselves were very dirty as well as the booths. We had to ask twice for tables to be clean and ended up gathering them ourselves in order to sit down. The food was good though we ordered two pizzas some pitchers of soda and beer and some nachos. I do believe they should have a wider selection of food sold but I know most of the time that doesn't really fall on the management but more so the actual corporation. Price was also not too bad for food. For the actual bowling it was really fun I paid about $120 for about 7 people to bowl with shoes included apparently it was a special and you can bowl until they close. The equipment seemed really really old though I think this place is due for a remodel. The pins would fall on their own with no ball in sight, the balls would not go into the chute and instead roll back on the actual lane and get stuck and at times the whole system would just freeze and during those intense moments where we were trying to crown a winner the experience is just ruined. Overall the atmosphere was alright there were about 5 other family and they bunched us all up in the same booths instead of spreading everyone around to give people more space. The music was okay and the place didn't really scream fun. I think this place had lots of potential despite the age of the building by just tweaking a couple things which would make everyone's experience that much more enjoyable. Will I be back soon? Maybe not. Do I want to be back? Of course. Given there is basically no places in town like this I think this place has lots of room for improvement. read more

From the front counter check in. To the staff out on the floor to DIZ in the pro shop. I can't believe the knowledge DIZ has about his trade ,the game,and his customers from beginners to pro. Your staff were very good about helping out with any thing. They helped with the game start up,always out on the floor within eyesight always stopping by to see if you needed something .They even came over and helped with the furniture and made more room for us .We had a great time due to every --one's kindness and work ethics . Bowlero is probably the last bowling alley in Bakersfield. They have a fairly large junior league, which I'd recommend to anyone with kids from 8-18. Bowlero is clean and probably short staffed most of the time but I'm guessing that's only during the day because it seems like it is packed out for the evening and nights, for league matches and the late night crowd. They have a full bar in the back and done alright bowling alley food. Overall if you want to go bowling, this is the place to go. It's clean, ran well and has everything you need to have a fun time. read more

Visited on a busy Friday night for my birthday and expected a wait. Definitely will take advantage of reserving a lane ahead of time for next visit. We were given two lanes much quicker than expected! Once we started playing, one of our lanes immediately started glitching (pins not being removed, pin grabber getting stuck, gutter balls collecting at the back). Then eventually the other lane started glitching. We stayed patient yet eventually we were moved to another lane. Just at this point our party had lost their momentum and everyone was tired. Experienced glitching again briefly. The new lane area we were given was the handicap area due the ramps provided for the space. The ramps were not sturdy and just sketchy to walk up and down on. Definitely need to be replaced with metal ramps. The tiling next to the ramp entrance was damaged as well which was a fall hazard. Also, the bowling alley has a security guard. My brother was asked to lift his stomach to show he wasn't concealing weapons. We have a pretty good sense of humor and found the situation odd and my brother just laughed it off. I appreciate the thoroughness of the security guard yet perhaps invest in handheld equipment that could detect weapons. One plus was the staff at the bar area! Very nice and the Shirley temples were delicious! We have been to this location multiple times and have experienced the glitches yet never to this extreme. We (party of 6) had a prepaid bowling reservation at 6pm in Bakersfield- our full party showed up at 6:20 our reservation was honored on our lane we had several Bowlero EE's come make sure everything was good. Very pleasant and willing to go out of their way to make our stay pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our bowling experience as a family. They have a nice bar and arcade area. Always cleaning and a lot of busy workers. The only we found was not enough bowling balls. We had to ask lane next to us if we could share their bowling balls. Upon walking in you are greeted by the staff which I like. Customer service great. Checked in we were a party of 8 (3 Adults, 5 Kids). I believe you pay per game and its 9.99 and shoes separately that I did not get the price I did not bowl so I didn't do either my kids did. They dont have much staff so when we had an issue it was hard to get help, with anything. When we ordered because the kids were thirsty we couldn't just order a pitcher (soda) we had to order food this was directly said from the person at the bar (Sharlene) we couldnt just order soda, we had to get food, and every time we wanted a refill which is a waste of food IMO. When going to pay she (Sharlene) was good to check us out quick easy but the comment of tips are greatly appreciated was a no no. As someone who use to work just for tips I never say that, or would ever say that. That's just not what you say at all. Also the cups for soda are so small the kids had a good time but us parents were a little bothered thar we had to buy good just for drinks or do individual drinks, why not just sell the pitcher alone. Other than that because its one of the two only places here in town to bowl we will be trying The BLVD and definitely comparing the two. read more

Went to Bowlero for an FYG outing with the FYG™. Firstly, the price per person is outrageous. Secondly, the bar has overly strict policies. One of us wanted a drink that's meant for two people, so we had to provide two IDs. They said they couldn't order another drink until that first one was finished, and that they BOTH had to drink it. One of us wasn't even able to order a drink after waiting 15 minutes because she had a vertical ID, despite being well over 21. We ended up leaving early and going elsewhere. We had our daughter's birthday party here. I highly recommend having any kids party here. From the moment we checked in, all staff was so helpful and polite to me and my husband. This was our first time having a party here, so we were kinda not knowing what we were doing, but the staff helped in all ways. From correcting my errors on putting the kids' names on the board to who was allowed to bowl (only kids for us, no adults) so there was NO surprise bill at the end. They helped with moving tables for parents to sit and, of course, bringing our food. They have the arcade, bathrooms and just the atmosphere is beautiful. I can't mention enough the staff coming up to us and asking if there was any assistance we needed. Our birthday girl plus the guests(kids) received a card with an amount to use at the arcade. Giving this place a 1 star for horrible customer service and basically robbing people for their money. My son ordered a large pizza priced at 25.48, he gave the cashier $30.00. She then told him she would take the change when the pizza came out. Not sure why she didn't just give him the change then and there. When the pizza came out it was a 8 piece. Clearly not a large. Stoped by for a Saturday afternoon extravaganza with my fam. Place was pretty packed, but it was the weekend! So it was expected. Vibes are cool inside and it's pretty spacious. Lots of bowling lanes. And a Big ol arcade as soon you walk in! With a giant pac man game lol. Came for the pool and the bar! Pool is $12 an hour and $0.17 or some odd cents per minute after every hour.... Hope that makes sense. Only one pool table though... And there is only 3 usable sticks, others were damaged. Nice little bar set up, Drinks we got were about 9 dollars and some change each. Very tasty, but a little too weak in alcohol content! Bummer. Not to mention the bar tender seemed miserable. Lol but he was cool to us. Played about 5 games of pool in little over an hour, total was $12.33. Not bad. Overall it was a cool and easy extravaganza. Bowlero is my family's go to bowling spot in Bakersfield! The pricing is reasonable. We paid $35 per person for 2 hours of bowling with the shoe rental already included with the price. We typically don't get food, but we love their drinks. The manager on duty, Amanda was so awesome. We were having some issues with one of our two lanes not working and she was so accommodating with no hesitation. I definitely recommend this spot. It's clean, fun, fairly priced, and has awesome customer service. read more

What a great experience today! I wanna thank the staff "Becky and Amanda" were amazing! We celebrated my Step Son's 16th Birthday today. The price for the teen birthday party was ideal. Came with Arcade cards, pitchers of soda, Two Pizza's, Pretzel Bites, Chips & Salas. Along with Two Hours of bowling! They constantly checked up on our party. The waitress and party host was always attentive! I saw the District Manager there. Probably cause they had a lot of party's and a huge corporate event going on. I mentioned to her she hired a good team of managers! This place did great today. Check in was smooth by the front desk boy. I hadn't been bowling in years so I was happy to join some friends one Saturday afternoon. We didn't make reservations so the wait for our lane was about 20 minutes. In the meantime we played in the arcade with cards that can be loaded by cash or card. Once our lane was ready we received a text and picked up our shoes. Turns out I'm terrible at bowling. BUT, I have a great time at it! Last weekend we were looking for a place locally to double date. We didn't want to do the usual dinner thing, so we looked around at activities. Bowlero Bakersfield fit the bill. Not only were we able to reserve online, but they also provided a good chunk of time (2.5 hours) plus food and beverage credit and shoe rental. I was pleasantly surprised to find the old Southwest Lanes totally reimagined as Bowlero. With some interior redesign they've really made the place shine. We were greeted quickly by the hostess and provided shoes. She introduced us to our server (which we liked!) who took us to our lane. She gave us the menus and took our orders quickly. Our server was an absolute doll and was super quick with all our orders. Even when I was finicky with a drink order, she was a rockstar! As we left, we noticed plenty of security at the doors and in the parking lot. They were extremely pleasant and kind as we left and just added a notion of more security. I know that if I return with a friend group we'll be in good hands. Bowlero exceeded my expectations. Was it absolutely perfect? Nope. There are improvements such as a better food menu and a bathroom update (some of the stall doors didn't lock). But overall, I was pleasantly surprised and will be recommending Bowlero to others. Love this place. Bought a Groupon but once there Bradley told me about the upcoming summer pass. My kids and I had a fun time. The lanes were great. The food was good. As I write this-My family and I are enjoying a bowling party that Amanda and her team Alex and Hamzzah put together literally last second today for my 14 year old Son. We do all our Birthday celebrations here and Amanda has NEVER let us down!! The center is always clean, we maintained and fun! And the pizza today...WOW! You walk in the door and ladies at the from Amanda and Alex never really smile or interact with anyone. The bar serves good drinks and has a couple good bartenders. I did however overhear an employee named Stephanie degrading another employee in from of customers. She was also overheard talking very loudly to another employee about another coworker that she did not like with other people around to hear the conversation.
