The food has always been good as well as the service. We have enjoyed the atmosphere, because it is relaxing.

So the place itself is very nice. Three story and open top patio. What was odd is they had no beer of their own on tap upstairs. He said they had two on the main floor. We had a beer on the rooftop and then went downstairs to see what they had of their own. We couldn't get the bartender/staff to pay any attention to us so we left. We went with a large group and had reservations. About 10 out of 20 had arrived and we were told the kitchen was put on hold. I have no idea what that means but it still took a long time to get our food because the orders weren't being taken or at least not offered to be taken until I guess the kitchen re-opened. I realize that the person we expected to be running the kitchen was not there so I am willing to retry the restaurant since I had a good time. I am very disappointed that even with the massive understaffing, no one except our waitress apologized for the 2 hr wait much less attempted to help her. She was super friendly and chatty but that probably put her behind as well. Or she was stalling for the kitchen. Note: the fried fish was awful but I didn't even attempt to return it. I had to get pitches of water from the bar and not even a thanks for coming and spending $1000 guys. Most of the party were very upset and some had to leave because dinner started at 7 but it was after 9 when the food arrived. I hope to go there the next time I know their is an adaquete support staff and better chef behind the wheel. PS the managers were made aware of our unhappiness but thus far none of the 20 women have been contacted or even acknowledged of the poor kitchen management that evening. We were polite and did not complain but our high hopes for good affordable food were not met. $16 for what was definitely frozen breaded fish and since it was soggy and greasy I would guess (but not confirm) that it wasn't even fully frozen when fried. I know how to cook fish, breaded or otherwise and this is not the way to do it. Others enjoyed their food but they were super simple and also slightly overpriced. We have been here five times in the past year and really the only reason we go is the smoked wings, especially now since Riff-Raff in Greer has changed so much in the pandemic. Here's the bottom line. The wings are good, the beer is ok, the food is ok, and the service is consistently disinterested, aloof, and rude. Every single time. They just don't care about service and it's evident every time we have been. It's like ownership makes sure each customer feels like they are lucky just to have a server come by I think we are probably done as we've found some other places with really good smoked wings that don't make you feel like you've been done a huge favor for having taken your order. read more

Ordered eggs Benedict with yolk hard and we've waited 30 minutes for them and we are still waiting. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here tonight!! We had a fantastic waitress and food was all delicious. We had the smoked pimento appetizer and I could have made my meal off of it was sooo good! Me and my daughter then shared a steak bomb sandwich (very much like a Philly cheesesteak) and fries and my husband had a buffalo burger and fries. My fiancé and I recently moved to Greer and have been waiting for restaurants to open to find our go to place near us. The Blue Ridge Brewing was the first place we went. There is a neat rooftop seating area that is open during warm months. They have great craft beer and a wide variety of other types of alcohol for those who don't drink beer. We did not have food, but everything that came out of the kitchen looked great. Not only was the atmosphere heat, but it has a great vibe. The staff was incredibly friendly and so were the regulars. I had the Bison burger, which was delicious. The fries were outstanding but I didn't care so much for the ketchup. I believe it was beer ketchup. We also had the wings as an appetizer and they were just right, crispy and tasty! Also, I wasn't asked how I wanted my burger cooked. I assumed it would be well done, but it was a little on the rare side. If this is an issue to you, be sure to tell them you don't want your burger pink. As far the service goes, it was your typical service for a Brewery. But I didn't go there for the service, I went there for good food. read more

So dissapointed! I read great reviews about this restaurant and was really looking forward to dinner. Took my wife and two older kids to the Blue Ridge Brewing last night. What a let down. Let me begin by saying that the restaurant was more than half empty except for one large party of 16 that was at the end of their dinner. I ordered a sample of a maple bacon stout. It took about 10 minutes for the server to bring the sample. I liked it and ordered one. It took about another 10-15 minutes to actually receive the beer. The waitress set it down saying, "I'm sorry, the bar is just so busy tonight". I looked at her and said, "Really?. We are 20 feet from the bar and looking right at it. There are only 3 people sitting at the bar and the restaurant is half empty". Seriously, one thing I can't stand is being lied to or some fake excuse. I'm looking directly at the bar. Its empty. The bartender is at the one end just socializing with the couple there, laughing and joking. The large party of 16 is at the end of their dinner...and they're all drinking soft drinks or water. The bar is so busy? Really? For appetizer, we ordered the chicken wings. There were 6 small wings and they were absolutely burned. The waitress asked how the wings were. I replied, "Very overcooked". She blurted out "Oh, so sorry", and briskly walked away. No exaggeration. Literally already 2 steps away and heading back to the bar before the word sorry was out of her mouth. No thought of actually making us happy by correcting it. My son ordered their pizza with meat toppings. Heavy and greasy. Crust was thick and terrible. We all tried it. I could have made a better pizza at home in our oven. I ordered the Carolina Q, which is basically a pulled pork platter, based on the waitress' recommendation. Total dissapointment. Definitely not "fall offf the bone tender". The meat was tough, especially for pulled pork. There was a sizeable bone in my chopped up pork. I have had much much better at Bucky's Barbecue and other similar restaurants. The mashed potatoes were okay, nothing special. The special side dish of the evening was the brussel sprouts. They were tiny and burned. My ten year old daughter did enjoy her her kids cheeseburger. She said it was very good. Waited a very long time with an empty beer glass for the waitress to come and ask if I needed a refill. In the end, we all agreed we will definitely not be back. Being a regular customer of the Blue Ridge Brewing in downtown Greenville, we decided to head to Downtown Greer for dinner. We decided to give Blue Ridge Brewing a try. We were so pleasantly surprised that this location was even better than the Original. First the service from our server was exceptional and consistently attentive. She knew all the specials for the night and was enthusiastic about the quality of the food and the drink specials for the evening. We ordered the Fried Mushroom appetizer .... WOW the best mushrooms I've ever had. Huge order, freshly cut mushrooms and hand battered, serve with both Horseradish sauce and a German mustard. EXCELLENT ! My Girlfriend and I split the Fish & Chips and we were glad we did ....piping hot and a HUGE PORTION. Again fresh fish hand battered, served with lots of lemon, tarter sauce and home made ketchup. Home made ketchup who does this ? Blue Ridge does ! The attention to freshness coming from the kitchen shows and we noticed ! Spoke to the owner before leaving and expressed our appreciations or the additional effort he and his staff went to make this a great dinning experience. Very nice atmosphere. I went at a time where there was a smaller crowd so it was very peaceful. The service was nice as well and catered to everything we needed with a great attitude. The food was good and definitely made fresh and in a timely manner. It is a little pricey for my liking for the value but it was a good meal at the end of the day. My SO and I had ordered drinks and everything was mixed well but for a price. If you're wanting a nice little night out, it's a good spot for occasional visits when you're in the mood for a treat in the small town of Greer. read more

We started with the appetizer - crispy, 1/2 sour pickles - UMM YUMM! They are pickle chips with a BBQ sauce & Parmesan peppercorn sauce. Then my hubby got the lunch meat & 2 special - county style steak w white gravy (yum yum) with chipotle mashed (too die) & mac n cheese - he loved every bite! I got Bahn Mi sand which! I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!!!! Shredded toast pork, Asian slaw, cilantro, & sweet chili Mayo stuffed in a crusty banquette w fries. Now - the fries are average, BUT sand which - a new fav!! We stayed over Christmas and they were always open and welcoming. Cam made sure we were taken care of every time we came in. Just got our order (from Bite Squad) and none of the food was good. My wife's 'mystery tacos' were chicken and in one bite she had 2 bones... rough start and the end of the tacos. (Hint for the restaurant - doesn't matter how good the flavor is, and there wasn't much flavor, if someone finds a bone in their food you've failed). My burger wasn't much better. The center was definitely pink but the quality of the meat left more than a little to be desired... also, a bit of flavor to the meat would have been helpful. The 'chipotle' potatoes were ok - except that there wasn't a trace of chipotle in them. Again, bland - missing even the basic salt and pepper flavors, let alone the chipotle. The pimento fries were ok - and the reason this managed 2 stars, however they need to leave the fries in the fryer for a couple more minutes. If they're supposed to be the base of something like this they need at least a little body. All the fries were extraordinarily limp and without any structure. After this order they probably aren't getting a second shot - which might be the most telling part of this review. read more

We live this place. Found it when one of our other favorites in downtown Greer was packed. It is so nice up on the roof top. Mary has been our server but I found out she moved so then we met Madi. Bob is the same owner from the original downtown Greenville Main Street location. I also understand that he is in the process of relocating the original Greenville Main Street spot. As for the downtown Greer restaurant, believe it or not, the food and beer selection is even better than the original. They carry beer that does not even ship to South Carolina stores. Very cool. Bob has also continuously sought out the best chefs and the food offerings show just that. There is also a great rooftop bar! Great job Bob!!!! Open up the next spot. My wife and I sat in the roof. Our server was prompt and attentive. We ordered a beer each. The server was unsure about some questions we asked about the beer so she went and got the ambers instead of lying to us which we appreciated. We started with the pimento fries which were very good. We also had their homemade ketchup to finish the uncovered fries. I ordered the trout with potatoes and the daily vegetable which was all very good. Unfortunately my wife ordered a pizza, which was the whole reason we chose this restaurant, that was visibly undercooked. We tried it anyways and ended up asking to have it cooked up. The server was great about it and had it back in no time. Unfortunately the kitchen sent it back in no time as well and it was still undercooked just a little hotter. We have been looking forward to visiting this place for months. Finally got an opportunity and drank/ate upstairs since the weather was great. Bartender was clueless, could not (our would not) recommend anything (wine, liquor or food) and unlike most bartenders, had a less than hospitable attitude + zero sense of humor. Hey, if you can't or won't be sociable and you work in the hospitality business, perhaps it is not your calling. Food was OK and we will not fault the restaurant or chef since perhaps we ordered the wrong thing. Note to whoever manages this place: please make sure your bartender upstairs (and wait staff) belong in the restaurant business and do not turn off your customers before they even order! We made reservations here for my mother's 52nd birthday. The service was awful and the waitress was obviously stressed out so much she just talked really fast and ran off every time. Took an hour and a half for appetizers to show up and another 45 minutes for dinner. My poor mom was sad by the end of it. Also I am an severe asthmatic and the whole time my throat and chest were getting tighter and tighter and I did not know why. So we were sitting on the mid level seating area, right next to the air vents. On our way out I looked behind me and there was the blackest air vents I had ever seen. They don't change them. Literally the nastiest air vents I've ever witnessed. I'm sitting here this morning still struggling to breathe. An oasis of good food, good music, and good beer in Greer. The menu has a nice variety and, from what we sampled (pizza and pimento cheese dip) as well as observed being served, is well executed. Blue ridge brewery is close to GSP airport which is nice for a good drink and meal before you head to the airport. The beer was mixed...the Red Hare 50/50 was delicious and the key lime pie gose was good too. The Hefeweizen wasn't great and was flat. The food is good for bar food, mostly comfort food and not many healthy choices. There are not many sides to choose from which was not great either. We had the burger, the pulled pork sandwich, the half chicken and the breakfast sandwich. Each weren't amazing but did the job for being a brewery mostly and not a restaurant. read more

We've been dying for this place to open. The food was pretty good. We went with a group so we were able to try and few things. The pickles were great. The she crab soup was pretty good, the corn inside in the soup was mushy but overall flavor was good. The banh mi sandwich was pretty tasty and the mountain grilled cheese was pretty good as well. The service was pretty bad BUT they did just open so I think they are still getting use to the crowds, etc. They are not serving their brew yet either. One of my favorite spots to go to when in town from Los Angeles. Everything I had here was amazing. The grits will make you twitch it's so good and they can make some killer hot toddies (was a bit under the weather last time I was there). Cam the manager makes you feel at home with a smile and a hug every time. Katie and Damien who are servers give the best experience possible by being their southern warm selves. This was our first visit and we had a blast! Joshua (the future assistant brewmaster after they get their state license) was our host and he was awesome.
