So happy to say it feels like the good old days again. The pub atmosphere is warm, relaxed, and exactly what you want when you're craving a casual night out. Their garlic parm chicken tenders are still one of my absolute favorites -- consistently delicious. We also love stopping here in the summer after leaving the Plymouth waterfront with the boat. It's such an easy, laid-back spot to land, and there's plenty of parking which is a huge plus. And I have to say -- I LOVE their salads. Fresh, generous portions, and always satisfying. Watching the Buffalo / Denver game last night was made even better with great pizza and a beer. What makes the Black Raspberry unique is being inside the old Cordage Rope factory in plymouth. The smell of the oiled wood wood floors brings me back to my childhood and just smells like home to me, I ran into a woman years ago that traveled to Alaska. Walking into a shop, she suddenly smelled The Cordage Rope factory. Dinner with my In-Laws and Wife Elizabeth, we ended up at the Black Raspberry Pub in Plymouth, my In-Laws have never been there before so why not.....we started with the Wings Half Honey BBQ and Half Apple Cider BBQ and they did not disappoint at all, there one of the best Wings on the South Shore then we got Pizza Buy 3 get 1 Cheese Pizza for Free and we did, Cheese for the Wife, In-Laws Split a Sausage and Hot Honey, and I got the Pastrami and Pickle Pizza, Evelyn loved their meal. They have one of the best Bar Pies in the South Shore too. If you've never been, I Suggest you go and check them out, we always like it there. Me and my wife that's one of our go-to places to get good food, good Atmosphere, and great place to watch a Game too. They decorate all out for Christmas every year and then Santa comes to see the kids. It's awesome! I've been going there the past 2 maybe 3 years they've been doing it. Our food was delicious and served without much wait by a very helpful server who was also the bartender. Our choices were a "bah" pizza, soup, and a brussell sprout "small plate". Really very tasty and perfect for the cold day that it was. I'll have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how good the pizza was. Located in Plymouth, MA in the historic Cordage Park. They have dine-in as well as pick-up, eat inside or outside when the weather is fine. The staff is always friendly. They sat us right away, offered drinks and gave us plenty of time to check out the menu. We started with a tray of nachos and a wedge salad. Delicious! Returned for the Holiday pop-up. We waited a bit for the hostess to appear, and when she did, our presence seemed like an inconvenience. Our reservation was for a high-top, yet she tried to seat us at a table in the dark back room. She doubted our request and walked back to the front entrance to verify it. She sat us--reluctantly--at one of several empty high-tops. We were reminded of the 90-minute time limit. Our waitress greeted us, again mentioned the 90-minute limit, took our order, delivered drinks and food, and reminded us yet again of the time limit. We got the message. There was no offer of dessert or a "last call." The holiday drinks were good but pricey, and the food was okay. The waitress was pleasant, but the hostess was rude. Last year was a much more enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, we doubt we'll return, especially with so many great places nearby. read more

It was Father's Day 2024. The bar was not full nor the restaurant at around 12:45pm. I was told by the hostess to place a take out order at the bar. I stood near the sign for a solid 5 minutes and never saw the bartender (the bar turns.) I rounded the corner and she was deep in making drinks following a specials list. She was was in too deep. Servers were standing around and I just think there has to be a better way. After standing for a few minutes there a waitress took my order to help out (thank you!) Interlude: I walked across the parking lot to Llamanana Beer Lab out of Dirty Water Distillery while I waited (We were on a Father's Day Brew Hop and the BRP food was going to another brewery that allowed you to bring in your own food.) Upon return my food was promptly ready and I was sent on my way. Much better experience than ordering. I can share the pizza was pipping hot. Both pizza's were ordered alced and well done. The pepperoni pizza was cooked as ordered. The bacon pizza did not have as much of a laced, well done crust. I wish it had just a little more sauce and every places loses a few points with me for not using the little cupped up pepperoni's. The wings were meaty and good blue cheese. (I wish I had them at the restaurant so no further judging how the moisture may have played into them being a little less crispy- that's on the to part as opposed to the restaurant.) True score: 3.5. Very very cute My friend and I had a reservation and had a blast! We boat got a drink from the specials and they were both very good, hers came in an ornament. For food she got a fall harvest pizza and it was delicious and I got Mac and cheese and it was flavorful and very good. Throughout the night service was also very good! read more

Made reservations a month ago. Got seated at the bussing and waitress station in the farthest corner. Asked to switch to either of the other 2 4 tops open and was told they too were reserved. I explained I had a reservation too and asked if someone else could have this table and I could have one of those. The hostess was rude as heck and told us it was this table or none. I was so shocked because I wasn't being rude. I would have just left if we weren't with another mom and her daughter. The other mom continuously got slammed in the back of her chair by the busboys clearing the entire restaurants dirty glasses and dishes. Clanking, breaking glasses and stinky food took over the whole experience. Waitresses constantly so close we could hear their conversations as they entered orders and rang out customers. This table shouldn't be there. The food is usually decent and the pizzas are usually awesome but all 3 were undercooked and the fried rice with steak was so salty we couldn't eat it! We took it home hoping to save it by adding some white rice to it. Mini jets after the bill arrive we were told another reservation was coming in and we needed to wrap it up. By the same hostess who forced us to sit there so that was pleasant. We were still waiting for the free pizza you get to go when you order 3. So what were we supposed to do? I canceled my December reservation when we were supposed to go with another group because this visit was so incredibly disappointing and stressful. read more

Your decorations might be beautiful but you treat the patrons that had reservations since November 7th and December 23rd when we arrived to have food and cocktails under those beautiful decorations...you didn't honor those reservations. Instead of sitting at reserved high top by the bar you tried sitting us in dining area without the decorations surrounded by screaming children! Let's just say we left disappointed and pissed! Hostesses were rude and snarky and both times we called to speak with management we were told no management on site. Doubt that! Had a lovely and perfect dinner at Carmella's instead. It was fun to go there and see all the holiday decorations. It was a Tuesday night, so not very crowded. We did not need reservations, although three staff members stopped by to tell us that we were restricted to 90 minutes, after the hostess had already informed us before we sat down. There were empty tables around us the entire time we were there so maybe they should specify 90 minutes when the restaurant is full. Our server was very informative, friendly, and gave us lots of attention. She was top notch. The cocktail menu was too pricy and the wine pour was terrible. The red wine was served in a small white wine glass with a very small portion of wine. If it measured 4 oz., I would be very surprised. This was a $14.00 glass of house wine. The pizza was excellent, but the apps were really skimpy for the price. The potato skins had four skins, two of which were only as large as a wide cut french fry. Really? It was like having one skin and a bite of another for each of two people. Not worth $14.00. Sometimes I wonder if the kitchen actually notices what they put on a plate. read more

1st time at Black Raspberry Pub and they delivered tonight. I read a lot of negative reviews about service, but our waiter was attentive and cordial. The music was loud, but it was enjoyable and the place was packed. Only complaint was the amount of time between when we finished our appetizer and when the entrees came out. Probably close to 20 minutes. Everything we ordered was great as you can see by the pictures. The Shrimp Bruschetta was absolutely delicious. Surprisingly it came out on warm garlic bread and all the flavors worked. The balsamic was sweet, tomatoes fresh and shrimp cooked just right. Highly recommend. The Fig & Pig pizza came out cooked PERFECT! Look at the edges and and color on the cheese. Amazing combo. Ok. The Whipped Feta and Watermelon was really unique and I was so glad I got it. Had a little kick from the Red Pepper Flakes and the velvety creaminess of the feta was delicious. Add in the perfectly ripe, juicy watermelon and you have a hit in your hands. We made reservations for a Friday night since we heard they had put up their Christmas decorations. Very impressive when walking in. The hostess immediately informed us that we only had 90 minutes and then must leave. OK. Understandable that they are expecting crowds to come streaming in the door. When the waitress came to the table she immediately told us we only had 90 minutes. I am sure management was dictating the strict warning to all patrons. We ordered drinks but when she returned for our food order she told us again about the 90 minute cutoff. When she delivered the food we told again about our 90 minute seating limit. Once finished with our meal the waitress was back again to inform us that our time had ended. Keep in mind that there were many empty tables. If we were allowed to stay a little longer we would have ordered dessert or another drink. I am very flexible to understand the position the restaurant is in but to basically kick us out has left a bad taste in my mouth. You will not see me return to this restaurant. read more

Definitely loud, busy and quite packed. We could only see 1-2 tables that were empty from 6-8pm. Service wasn't bad, but be prepared to wait. Have 1-2 drinks before your appetite peaks because the kitchen is always bustling, almost can't keep up. This place does wings and pizza fairly well, and these things stand out as to why you go here. I'm particularly enthralled with their jalapeño, pineapple, and bacon pizza--a combo that really hits the spot. Black Raspberry is taking great pains to protect customers during the COVID-19 pandemic. You'll have the option to take delivery outside. Horrible. The smell walking in got worse and worse with each step we took. We had made reservations to go and see the holiday decorations and though they were adorable the four of us all were trying to find a nice way to tell each other we didn't want to eat here until my husband said, "I can't get passed the smell here. Does anyone smell that?!?!"And we all said oh God yes. Let's go. We couldn't figure out if it was septic issues or gross gym odors or something died. Whatever it is we'll never know.
