Happy Hour goes from 2 pm til 6 pm on Wednesday, and all day Thursday - $5 margaritas. The restaurant is inside the entrance to Turtle Rock RV Resort where we were staying. There is both indoor and outdoor seating with a nice little bar inside. We sat outside where they have a beach theme dining area underneath a straw roof with tables on beach sand. Nice touch! The restaurant has upped its menu since the last time we were here. There were quite a few more menu items, including various appetizers (chips and guacamole, Queso, taquitos, fiesta combination sampler, etc.), burritos, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, and steak, shrimp, pork, and chicken combination plates with rice and beans, and more. Our service was a little spotty. It seemed like a lot of their servers didn't get there til around 4, and we kind of got lost in the shuffle. We got chips, salsa, and water, and got our drink orders in quickly, but the drinks didn't come out, so we had to ask after about 15 minutes. The drinks came out pretty quickly afterwards and we got our food order in. Food came out pretty quickly after that, and it was all very good. My wife got the fresh grilled rock cod tacos with bell peppers, onions, and cilantro inside a grilled corn tortilla, and I got a combination plate with two crispy Al pastor (marinated pork) tacos, rice, and beans. The guy that greeted us (Jonathan) when we first arrived was very helpful in checking on us to see how we were doing. Since we never seemed to have a dedicated waitress, we were able to tell him when we needed more drinks and he was able to get them to us. Overall, we were very happy with the drinks and food. The beach theme is very cool. Since we really never had a dedicated server, nobody brought us a bill. We finally flagged down another hostess and she was able to retrieve our bill. We took it up to the register where we met our original server. She asked who our server was and then noticed on the bill that she was. She seemed a little shocked when she figured that out. We just smiled. The service was really the only shortcoming; however, we were able to make do and get what we wanted. So far, 4 stars, minus 1 for spotty service. Day 2 Food and drinks outstanding again! I got the shrimp taco combination plate and wife got shrimp/bacon quesadillas. Service this time around was outstanding! Could it be they read my review from day 1? We did make reservations this time and we showed up at 4:30. They were fully staffed and went out of their way to take care of us. They were bringing us drinks as quick as we could drink them. Thank you Becky, Jonathan, and all the excellent staff that took care of us on this day. Yelp rating upgraded to 5 stars.
