I ordered through the drive thru and was told the food would be out in a few minutes sat in the lot for 25 minutes, went inside another 20 minutes and everytime I ask it's 2 minutes. They need to close down, revamp and try again or don't take on more than they can handle, 5 persons on hand and couldn't up hold the fast food standard of I wanted to wait 45 minutes some chicken I could've went home but on a road trip starving this is by far my worst experience.

The meat itself was really nicely cooked, tender and tasty. Where it lacked was in the sauce - I was hoping for that through and through saucy dripping tender meat, but was left with just a pile of pulled pork and some BBQ sauce dumped on top. Not a lot of depth in flavor. I got REALLY excited when I saw Mac n Cheese as an option for a side, but was incredibly disappointed in it. It was watery and SO bland. Kraft Dinner was gourmet in comparison. It might have been the worst mac I've ever tasted, not even black pepper or ketchup could save it for me. My boyfriend got a similar meal but with coleslaw and cornbread on the side as well. Coleslaw he said was so-so, and I tasted the cornbread which was good but 99% sure it's store bought. Overall, probably wouldn't return unless it's to buy just meat.

I did a search and realized that this Fast Eddie's location was a kilometre away from Zehrs. Yay! This eatery is in a small plaza that has a Pizza Nova and a couple of other stores. I went through the drive-thru. I like that the menu is large enough that I can look at it away from the order area. Sometimes when I am looking at the menu and I need more time, I feel like I'm being rushed because the person is asking for my order now. I didn't feel any of that weird pressure. I looked at the flavour choices. They all sounded great! I went with the strawberry shortcake wildshake. I approached the speakerphone (I still don't know what it's called) and got a woman helping me out with my wildshake order. I got a medium. I then proceeded to the window. I paid with my debit card. At first, the tap didn't work. The woman said that the payment machine needed to be reset. I tried it again and all was well. I got my wildshake and was a happy camper. The woman was nice and friendly. I didn't feel that brief warmth at all with the guy at the Hespeler location. This one may be my new favourite place. I just found out that there's a third Fast Eddie's in Cambridge. It means that I have a new goal to visit that one. The strawberry shortcake wildshake does taste like strawberry shortcake in shake form. The shake was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet. The cookie crumbs sprinkled on top were so fine that you didn't gag sucking them down the straw, but you could definitely taste them. The strawberry flavour was excellent. The shake was topped with whipped cream, which was a nice, cute touch. I may need to get the large next time. I actually parked in front of Pizza Nova after I got my shake to savour it. Once I was done, I hit the road and headed back home. This place has a whopping three walk-in windows. I like the concept of walking up to place an order if you don't have a car, or you are riding your bike and feel intimidated going through the drive-thru. I had a great experience. I look forward to getting some food the next time that I'm in the area. (63)
