The rooms were clean and well sized, with large bathrooms and comfortable square layouts. One small note: the shower has a half-glass panel, which doesn't fully prevent water from splashing onto the bathroom floor. Pro tip: bring bedroom slippers, as the stone flooring can get chilly . We booked three rooms (8, 19, and 21). All were decent in size, though lighting varied. Room 8 was the darkest, while Room 19 had the brightest natural light. Most rooms include a fireplace, except Room 21. There is no in-room coffee maker, but complimentary coffee and a light breakfast are provided daily in the lobby. The lobby is small but very inviting, and comfortable with a cozy fireplace and stunning views of Moonstone Beach. There's also a second-floor observation deck with even more panoramic ocean views. An excellent spot to enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. Plenty of parking is available directly in front of the rooms, making it very convenient. There are complimentary beach bicycles for guests but you have to sign a waiver. We went for an early morning ride along Moonstone Beach Dr. It was fantastic!! At $178 per night including taxes and fees, this is hands down one of the best values if you want to stay right by Moonstone Beach. We would absolutely stay here again. Happy Travels!

We enjoyed our morning and evening walks. They also had a common area where you can lie down and enjoy your ocean view. I deducted a star because no AC, mini fridge nor microwave (but we knew this coming in). I think there's a portable fan in the room though. I wish they had a microwave in the common area. Walls are thin so bring ear plugs if you're sensitive to noise especially since they're pet friendly (thank goodness our dog only barked a couple of times during the night ).

One of the problems when staying with dogs at a hotel is that, at least with my dogs, they tend bark at every little noise. With people checking in at all hours of the day, this can become annoying. So I figured staying in a small bungalow would be a good fit. Not only would did it have it's own private backyard for them to run around in, I could also kick back and do a BBQ. Doing an online search for pet-friendly places I stumbled upon Cambria Beach Bungalow, which is managed by the Blue Whale Inn in Cambria. Looking at the photos, I decided to stay there. Although expensive, I really enjoyed my stay here. It's about a block away from the Beach, so it was real easy to walk the dogs down there. The interior is country home kitsch, it has two bedrooms and some fold out couches in the living room where you can accommodate more guest. The main drag to Cambria is less than a mile so it's easy to get supplies there. The backyard has a nice garden and plenty of room to run for small dogs. There is a fence to hold the dogs in, but a larger athletic dog should be able to jump it if they had the urge. They have a charcoal BBQ in the back yard , so I went to Soto's Market in Cambria and purchased some grass-fed Hearst Ranch rib-eyes and hamburger to grill. Mighty tasty! I enjoyed my stay at the Cambria Beach Bungalow as did my dogs. You do pay a pet fee as well as a cleanup fee so it does get expensive, but hey, once in a while I will splurge for the pets.

Customer service was similar to what we encountered from Morro Bay up to Ragged Point: more standoffish than expected, but ultimately helpful. All in all, we would stay here again if we wanted another retreat on the Central Coast.

Never seen anything like this. In the mornings they bring you a picnic basket with a thermos full of coffee, some pastries and a do it yourself mimosa. LOVE the Aesop products in the room!!! a few downside during my stay were: the few times i went to the front desk, the "out of office" sign was up each time. i wanted to rent a bike to bike around the town, no one was around to assist. i waited about 10-15m each time. they have a fire pit that was on the entire time. i heard they provide s'more kits, but we were not provided with any. there isnt really any pet relief area on site. also, all units do not have AC, only fans. i had no service while i was there. i literally was on SOS. i actually loved it. don't worry, there is wifi avail! i would def book white water again!

The breakfast room is off the porch and very pleasant with plenty of light. The food itself was delicious with a quiche one day and French toast and eggs the next. Every day there was yogurt and homemade granola. The inn is in a historic building and is on the east edge of town, easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Angie and Anna were kind and accommodating, always asking if we needed anything. If you are going to Cambria itself or up to Hearst Castle or wherever in the area, I highly recommend the Olallieberry Inn.

It is a historic Victorian house with an abundance of character and old world style. Each room is unique and there are charming little details everywhere you look. We felt so welcome by the lovely garden and the wide porch was calling my name. It just seemed to say "chill for a minute", which I did. The house has a very subtle sweet woody smell that adds a soothing touch to the interior atmosphere. I found it to be instantly relaxing. Our rooms were absolutely beautiful, clean, and bright. The bed was so very comfortable that I slept as though I was at my grandparents house, and feeling completely cared for. Reading the journals with the notes from past visitors was such a delight and It adds to the warmth and comfort that this house lends to those who pass through. Breakfast was way better than expected! It wasn't just coffee and a muffin. They gave us a variety of options with high quality ingredients, and the coffee was smooth and full bodied.
