The Big House where basketball legends are born!
Jerry H.

house! my basketball aficionado, listen up!What a spectacular day in the life of my family to see my eldest nephew play b ball. The Big house was all that and more. There are 4 big courts in a rectangular setting and a smaller courts with about 2 to 3 courts inside. Once inside, there is also a restaurant. Whenever in Taveras, minutes away from Orlando come to the housu!

Came here for an AAU tournament. You pay at the door outside to a woman of ZERO words, no exaggeration. Literally didn't say a single word both days. I believe there were bout 10 or 11 basketball courts that I saw.....ZERO bleachers. There was random "I'm sure supposed to be organized" folding chairs scattered around the courts but that's all. Parking is limited so if you want to park on concrete get there early, if not you'll end up in the "grass lot". There was some sort of food and drink spot right as you walk in, but I didn't check it out to be honest. The bathrooms are clean which is a plus, but the courts are the best/only thing that the big house has going for it in my opinion. Courts were some of the most maintained I've seen. They looked waxed and buffed to perfection!! So, for the player this place is top notch but the spectator and parent this place needs some work.

Thanks Big House for making our teams freeze outside over your lame policy while other teams are pulling sandwiches out of their backpacks.

Expensive. Bathrooms are disgusting. Sometimes smell like weed. Don't allow kids to bring water bottles.

Fear Reach Scream Park

My wife is the fun things to do Halloween guru and found out about Fear Reach Scream Park on the…read moremorning news. She purchased our tickets directly from the site https://fearreach.fearticket.com/frontapp/book/ticket for $20 each and they also offer two add-on's, (1) the Double creature feature $15; and (2) the speed pass for $10 more. We purchased the $20 ticket, which grants you access to the park and 3 haunted houses. Things to know: - The park is only open on Friday and Saturday nights from 7-11pm. The park modifies its days/hours near the end of the month to be open on Thursday thru Saturday Nights (24th and 31st) until 12am. - The park is in a large open field out in the middle of Tavares. If you have trouble seeing at night you might want to bring your own flashlight because there is not a lot of lighting to and from your vehicle. - Although you are entering a somewhat enclosed park know that it is all outdoors. Dress appropriately for the humidity (it was muggy as hell), for walking in muddy grass and puddles, and prepare for mosquitos. - There are several osculating fans in the bar area which help but no air conditioning to be found other than in the restroom. - The only running water I could find was in the restroom and it was most likely well water from the property (strong sulfur odor). Bring your handy wipes! First off, I have to say that all the staff here are lovely! Every staff member we met were friendly, had a positive attitude, and truly cared about the job they were doing. I can only image that their managers treat their employees well and appreciate that they have such good people working for them. We had dinner before we arrived here, so we didn't purchase any of the food inside. It is nice to know that there are several food vendors available if you are hungry. The Gringa Mex food truck, and a BBQ vendor, along with one other vendor selling sweets and fried items. We did however purchase several drinks at the main bar and prices were competitive with one of the other bars on site. I was drinking Jai Lai IPA's and they were $6 each, not bad. There are several fun activities like the ring toss and ax throwing which cost more but all proceeds go to a good cause. Additionally, there was a Terot reader, a Henna tattoo artist, and several other merchants on site. All very cool; however, save them for after the Haunted houses to ensure you see them all. There was a very good band called The Dismembered playing during the evening. Our friend is a neighbor with one of the band members, which made the event that much more fun since we were able to meet and hang out with the band for a while. The haunted houses were pretty good. My favorite was Grimoire Manor, second best was Bloodline Barn, and third was the Chainsaw Chase. The first two are more of an actual haunted house, pretty much what we were looking for. The Chainsaw Chase is pretty much your group being quickly corralled (chased) through the haunted house by scary characters with chainsaws. It goes quick, so its over before you know it. I wish there was more characters inside and other creepy things to look at, then maybe have the chainsaw guy chase me out toward the end. Something to mention about the haunted houses is - two items jump out at you in the first two houses. One is this creepy dude that is hidden in a bed and the other is a tall dark Grim Reaper looking dude that's on a pedestal near a walkway. They are pneumatically controlled, which is awesome but they come very close and if I was the lead of our group, they would have hit me in the head because I am so tall. So just be prepared if your tall like me. All-and-all, we had a blast checking this place out. It was our first time here, and it was worth the $20 to me; I have to say, we will be back. If you are looking for another great place to enjoy the Halloween festivities, I highly recommend checking Fear Reach Scream Park out, and be sure to bring your friends, it is so much more fun with a group.

Wow. My first time here. And I really liked it. Three…read morehaunted houses. Two of them were very very good like just as good as Universal Studios. The third one was just like a maze. They have a band on the weekends. A full bar with lots of seating. They have a couple of places for a photo app. They had a dancing scarecrow. They also have a midway with games and ax throwing. A really great place to come for Halloween worth every penny! $20. Free parking..

Matinee weekend prices go until 4pm and are $8.88 a ticket! You can purchase your tickets online and reserve your seats. I did pay a little extra for their special XL theater. Their website explains the different theaters. While you're perusing the website, join their rewards program. In the words of the terminator himself I know for sure "I'll be back". You may also purchase tickets on one of their many kiosks. There's even a special kiosk for cash only. There is a full bar and a lounge area to chill. The snacks & drinks are all self serve with a self checkout. I was confused at first but there are employees available to guide you through the process. They were eager to help & very friendly. The theater was huge! It felt like we were by ourselves since there is so much room between the rows & the stadium seating. They have the coolest recliner chairs I've come across. Not only do they lay alllllll the way back but you can also tilt the headrest to your liking. No need to get a kink in your neck while you sip your beverage. The chairs were in excellent condition and didn't show any signs of wear & tear. The theater was super clean, the sound & picture were great as well. The bathrooms were clean as well. There's also a family bathroom. On the way out we really wanted to play the games. I will bring cash next time so I can win that Princess Peach. Thanks Epic Theatre. Your name fits my experience. See you soon!

The nachos are prepackaged but good. I haven't had any fountain drinks, but I do see that people seem to get the pizza a lot. I've also had the pretzels and I like that as well. They have an actual liquor bar there if that's something that you're in to into as well. The fair itself is clean, and the seats are comfy and recallable. check what day a week you're going they have lots of specials and sign up for their app as well.
